Thought I'd Better Put In An Appearance

Thought I'd better put in an appearance. After all Nanny and Granddad have come to look after both of us, even if I can't Ake care of myself.

I knew It Would Be Fruitless

Rivers made me search everywhere but I knew it would be fruitless.

They've gone on holiday for Daddy's birthday, although they will be back in time.

I'm not sure how I'm gonna break the news to her but having Nanny here will help.

Christmas Day - I'm Off!

Now I don't mean to be unsociable but I just like time on my own and when it gets to this Christmas Time business lots of people are around so I ten to escape to the garage for the duration.

That is until River summons me in to open presents.

I Like Things As I Like Them

Well they're back. They've been to Spain and apparently it's some where that they are considering us all moving too in a couple of years.

I'm not sure how I feel about that you've got to learn another language if you are human the lucky thing about us cats is that we speak a universal language so none of that nonsense for me.

However I like it here I've just started making new friends. I seem to find it hard so starting all over again not really on the top of my list of things I'd choose to do.

Nanny and grandad came down to look after us and I was a bit mischievous I only came in when they had gone to bed. Not being unfriendly but I've got my routine, it's taken me ages to train my daddies, another reason I'm not too sure if this proposed move I like things as I like them!

The Chest Of Draws - A Nostalgic Day

Daddy has been up to his old tricks again today, he's been renovating an old set of draws.

The gangs all here it's a sunny Bank Holiday Saturday and the BBQ's been on.

I joined Daddy in a quiet moment and he told me some stories of the past, he;s been feeling very nostalgic, the chest of draws's has been bringing it out.

It was his mum's, stuck away in the cupboard in her bedroom when she lived here. Painted white when the cupboard came down, the gold paint came out and Daddy gave it it's first make over now it's my other Daddies turn and we're going art deco.

In the draw he also found a draw lining cut from some of the wall paper that this house was decorated in in the 80's. It's going in a frame on the wall apparently.

Yes it's been a sunny day and a nostalgic day as well.

Eurovision

Well the grandparents have turned up and my daddies have just been talking about Eurovision so I guess it's time for me to do a disappearing act, I can't be doing with that on top of the week I've had.

OK I Was A Little Late Putting Our Plan Into Action

I can't believe it River totally let me down.

OK I was a little late putting our plan into action I thought I saw Sofia walking along the back wall and chased out after her. By the time I got to the end of the garden if it was her she was gone so I went on a bit of a wander to see if she was around but no luck.

Anyway then I came in, probably about early afternoon all ready to wind nanny up but when I went up to River to ask her if she was ready she told me she was just too tired, the sun had worn her out.

Marvellous! Oh well I always suppose there's next week

  

We've Been Plotting And Planning

We've been plotting and planning, River and I.

Nanny is coming to babysit River tomorrow and as it's been a bit of a quiet week we thought we'd liven a few things up so have been having a few discussions about how we can keep her on her toes but shhh, we don't want her knowing.

Secretly I Know She Loves It

I was sitting up on the table keeping an eye out for Flash, no more sightings luckily when I heard my daddies talking. They are going out later on tonight to see a show in London, it was a Christmas preset from nanny.

That means we're going to have a babysitter tonight, not that I need one it's more for River, and I know exactly who,nanny.

Now all I need to work out is what mischief I can cause, I do like to tease and secretly I know she loves it, it's a win-win situation and perfect weekend fun.

And So It Begins The Countdown To Tomorrow

And so it begins the countdown to tomorrow and next year.

Daddy always watches the fireworks from around the world as they happen. I tend to dip in and out, it can be a long all day experience and it can become a bit tedious for such an active cat as myself.

I don't know what I'm going to be doing tonight. I know nanny and granddad are coming down later so I'll pop in to say hello to them but I think I'd rather be spending it with other cats like me.

I wonder what Sofia is doing tonight, it would be nice to spend the year end celebrations with her, somewhere out the back just us two looking up at the local fireworks.

Of course I'll try and be around for midnight, I want to spend it with my family.

Christmas Eve Has Arrived

Well we're all set and prepared, yes Christmas Eve has arrived.

Daddy has been out in the kitchen baking ginger bread men.

River's got herself over excited.

Then I saw why, Nanny and Granddad had arrived.

I said hello, then retired upstairs to let the atmosphere calm down, I'm like Daddy, we like to sleep and lay about on days like these.

When I heard calmness I came down to look at the presents under the tree for us. I didn't have a clue what to get River so I'll spoil her tomorrow.

And now that Daddies cousin has arrived we're all here and set. I'm not unsociable though even though I am feeling very tired today, I think it's all the excitement.

Yes a very Happy Christmas Eve.

Rising To The Challenge - On The Cards Tonight

We've heard from our daddies and they are having a lovely time and will be back in time for Christmas, of that I had no doubt.

As I said yesterday I've been left in charge and am really rising to the challenge. I've so far managed to get as much food as I want and been allowed to sleep wherever I want, I'm usually not allowed to go into the main bedroom as I keep on waking River up and making her jump all over everyone but now I am.

Actually I think that's a good idea, nanny hasn't experienced that fun so far. Yes I think that'll be on the cards tonight.  

Putty In My Hands

My daddies have gone on holiday for a few days and I've been left in charge. 

Nanny has come down to feed us and things but I'm the one making all the decisions.

My first decision is Dreamies for breakfast, lunch and dinner, now I just need to find a way to get Nanny to comply. It shouldn't be too hard, she's putty in my hands.

Their Wonderful Beauty

These candles that Daddy keeps on buying and very lovely smelling, I've never really taken the time before to appreciate their wonderful beauty.

The smell almost puts you in a trance. When River invited me out to play I happily trotted over.

Not too sure what's going on here, I'm so chilled, I think I have definitely been put under some sort of a spell.

It must be a spell I'm transfixed by my ball and I never am. Think I should keep away from candle sniffing, bit overcome by the perfume. Trippy!

I Popped In To Say Hello

It's been a beautiful day, perfect for just relaxing in the garden.

I must admit to being emotionally exhausted by the events of the past few days, I think we all are so the sunshine is a welcome tonic.

Nanny has arrived to visit our patient. I popped in to say hello but I'm keeping myself to myself and letting them all get on with it, I think I'm spent, but as Daddy says if I didn't care I wouldn't feel.

In Amsterdam There's Cats Everywhere!

I left my daddies pretty much with River last evening when they came home from their adventures. It's not that I wasn't excited to see them, I was, it's just sometimes you've got to know when to step back. I'm a cat and quiet independent, River however well she's dependant on them and needed a lot of their time.

I got my time this morning when they came down and gave me a great big handful of teeth crunchies and sat me down to tell me all about their trip.

I think it's amazing that people can get in metal tubes and then somehow be up in the sky. I don't think I would like it much, I don't like being trapped in when I go to see the doctor so goodness knows how I would feel all the way up there.

However I would very much enjoy all the water that's everywhere in Amsterdam. I love water in all its formats.

Of course they don't go there to sit indoors, they go to explore.

And low and behold ta dah, cats!

And happy people.

And rather strange clothes.

I do find it very pretty at night when all the lights come on, don't think I'd like so many people being around though.

Daddy said the next day it was lovely and hot there, the sun was shining. Um here it was thundering and River was scared, I guess they go the best of the weather.

Makes it easy for people to sit out in the street eating, drinking and laughing. Um Amsterdam seems like a very happy place.

Where you can walk everywhere very easily. I could explore all over, maybe there's another way for me to get there?

I hope they do god cat food.

Apparently it's very cat and dog friendly there, oh yes and there's lot of bikes too.

And people making merry, mucking about on the water. I'm liking this place more and more.

And then something really strange happened. Daddy showed me a photo of a cat and it looked just like me and a bit like Lil' and I started to think maybe I was receiving a message of some kind from the universe.

I played close attention. Yes definitely I was receiving a message, the closer I looked the more I was sure.

Believe or not.

In Amsterdam there's cats everywhere!

And signs telling you you are not alone. Daisy got it.

They really do love their cats in the Netherlands, lovely people.

Cats, cats and more cats, I'm sure I would feel very at home.

Although not too sure how I'd manage with those trams running around everywhere.

Although they do have some very pretty flowers.

Cats even on clothes.

And black panthers on signs. Yep black panthers are cats too.

At night Daddy said all the people come out into the streets to watch the lights go on and mingle around.

And it's a time to reflect and remember people that aren't with you in body although they always will be in spirit. Messages from the universe are their way of letting you know.

And helping you to remember times spent together.

They like cheese in the Netherlands Daddy says, I don't mind it but I prefer Dreamies,

Eating cheese at night can give you weird dreams I've heard and I have enough of those without any help.

Dreams of rainbows.

The next day they met a cat who looked a bit like Sally, They stopped and said hello.

But they were on their way t see the 7 Singing Towers of Amsterdam. All sounds very magical.

I think from the photo's Daddy showed me that they had to climb up really high to see them.

Ah yes, I can see some.

1968, a good year apparently.

So says the Old man. In the messages are to be believe

He then showed me a photo of a pixie siting in a shop window as happy as can be. I did wonder why he was so cheery but couldn't work it out.

But then again it's Amsterdam and even old bikes on the way seem to smile.

But then again from what I'm leaning the whole city smiles at you, and showers you in signs from the universe.
