Well That Wasn't Easy!

Well that wasn't easy.
George popped over this afternoon, boy was I glad to see him, I was so full of questions but as you know I can only really get a yes/no answer from him at the moment.

First of all I asked him if everyone was OK? He nodded.

Then I forgot for a moment and asked him to tell me what happened the other night. He looked at me less than impressed.

OK, was there a big battle between Catworld and Foxy Lectar? Another nod

What there anyone else involved? Another nod

The New Cat Crew? He nodded.

I was getting good at this and feeling rather pleased with myself.

What's the deal with Doublay? He scratched in the ground a line and then did a loop over it.

I thought for a moment. He jumped sides? He nodded and shrugged all at the same time and pointed to one side of the line. I wasn't sure what he was talking about.

What?

He pointed again with a little bit more force to one side of the line and smiled and then to the other side and scowled and shook his head.

This was very hard.

He pointed again to the first side smiled, pointed at himself and indicated across the whole of Catworld and back at the ground again.

What, was he always on our side. A great big nod and smile came from George, he then pointed over to where Mogsie was sitting looking at George, it must have looked like he was talking to himself, before drawing a light bulb in the ground.

What it was Mogsie's idea?

He smiled again.

Oh I can't wait for all the details. Come on George we need to get you to the Lane of Bells sooner rather than later, I've so many questions that only you can answer, Doublay, Troy Lamore, Catkind in peril, the battle, round and round and round my heads spinning.

It's Kicking Off Out There, Right Now, Right As I Speak!

It's all kicking off out there, right now, right as I speak!

The Daddies were settled watching something on the TV, River asleep in Stay Daddies arms when her head jumped up and startled me. She raised herself up and a low growl started to come from the bowls of her throat.

I looked in the direction of the back window which was open. I thought I could hear something and so did the Daddies as they turned the TV down and we all were overcome by the sound of babies crying out. No that's not babies that Foxes they make the same sound to disguise what they are up to.

River growled more and Daddy stroked her more to calm her down. I ran up to the back window and could distinctly hear three separate foxes and a load of cats calling out, I could hear Sarah definitely but I don't know who owned the other voices, the New Cat Crew no doubt.

This all set up of the dogs that live up the back and they started barking, it's now just a cacophony of noise out there. Thanks fully they've got the back door locked and have distracted River now the window is closed and the sound is slightly shielded.

Catworld cats must have known something was going to kick off tonight. I'm so glad they are watching out for River. Please stay safe everyone, I'll keep watch over the front.

Chanting

I was right, they were waiting until the sun went down.
5 minutes ago the darker Naughty Twin dashed across the road towards Mogsie who was sitting on the top of R's car looking out and very deep in thought. He was quickly followed by George who is looking very tired, I guess on watch he's not really been getting much sleep, it's taking it's toll on his already.
George jumped up and started speaking to Mogsie and the lighter Naughty Twin who had by that time appeared from around the back. I tired to listen to what was being said but they were just too far away.

Luckily the lighter Naughty Twin then came over and filled me in.

George has been keeping a close eye on the New Cat Crew and Foxy Lectar who had gathered under the tunnel at the end of the road. He said that Flash, Tiger and Chameleon had been joined by two other cats who he'd not seen before and were beginning to get themselves worked up into some sort of a frenzy, chanting and jumping up and down but there was no sign of Silver Eyes as of yet.

George had said that he'd watched for a while and he was sure they were going through some sort of ritual and he thought it best to come back so everyone could get prepared.

She then ran off to let Sarah and Bella know what was happening. I looked over to see Mogsie looking very serious. OK so here we go then.

Nervous Exhaustion

There's a palpable tension in the air and it's rising.
I've moved from front to back and back again all day but so far no signs of any unusual activity. Emma's been keeping watch and a couple of times we've nodded to each other that's all's OK.

Sarah has just popped by to see how I am. I was glad of the company as I'm here all on my own, Daddy's taken River out which I don't know is a good thing or not. Yes she's out of the way if there's any trouble but Daddy isn't here to help either.

Sarah said she was feeling very nervous as well, I guess we all are. There's not much light left I'm guessing that they are waiting for the sun to go down to make their move. I do wish they'd hurry up but maybe that's what their plan is, tire us all out with nervous exhaustion before they attack.

Strength In Numbers

It's a very frosty morning and I wasn't expecting to see much activity until the weather had warmed up a bit but I was wrong.
Just as the sun came up I heard a call from outside and there on the front doorstep was the lighter Naughty Twin urgently trying to get my attention.

I indicated to her to go around the back, luckily Daddy had the back window open as he'd blocked my usual exit with the bin to stop River from going out and barking into thin air.

I ran up to the table and found her waiting for me.

I asked her if she was OK, her face said she wasn't.

I must be quick, she said, Mogsie's asked me to spread the word, George has heard they are planning to make their move today or tonight.

What! Although we'd been aware that they were going to be making a move shortly, it's different waiting for news and then getting it.

What's the plan?

Mogsie is rounding up all the troops but has asked us to keep ourselves from being spotted if possible. As soon as any of them are spotted raise the alarm and we'll all come running. There's strength in numbers.

Yes this is true! At that point River finally burst into the garden, jumping around in circles and attempting to get up onto the table.

Right I'm off!

Tick Tock, Tick Tock

Still no action and still no news.

This waiting is really beginning to get to me, I wish they'd just get on with it. Mogsie has been walking around keeping a watchful eye over us. I even caught a glimpse of George earlier, he looked tired, I think the strain must be beginning to get to him. It is to all of us.

Even the bouncy Naughty Twin looks tired and she usually spends most of the night and day running around.

Tick tock, tick tock!

For The First Time In Recorded History

I've been waiting on tender hooks for someone to make an appearance and even though it's only been about 10 minutes it's felt like hours. Patience is a cats strong point but sometimes it's like an anchor around your neck to.

The lighter Naughty Twin finally came from around the back and I called out to her.

She came running over and filled me in.

Mogsie said that George has been tracking Foxy and Silver Eyes for the past couple of days, which explains why I've not seen him around much, and he reported back that they are going to be making their move at some point over this weekend.

Mogsie meanwhile has been in negotiations with Ginger Cat and his friends and for the first time in recorded history two Catworld have come together to form an alliance to deal with the Foxes and the New Cat Crew. It had taken some intense negotiations between the two worlds. Us cat's usually like to keep things local, that way no bad energy spreads from one world to another.

We've had a long standing friendship with Ginger Cat but even with that it took some time to persuade him to join us.

Oh this is big, probably this biggest thing to have ever hit Catworld!

It's Coming!

It's coming, I could feel it and more to the point I've had it confirmed by the lighter Naughty Twin.
I was sitting up at the back window, enjoying some of the morning breeze when I saw the lighter Naughty Twin running across C's back fence, go up to the sunshine shed and sit there deep in conversation with someone I couldn't see.

I didn't want to interrupt her but I did want to catch her to ask if there were any more developments so when she turned around I called her over. She was safe making her way up the garden, Daddy had blocked the door to stop River going out and doing her usual barking act.

I've just had a chat with Doublay, she told me, pausing to catch her breath before continuing.
Doublay said that the Foxes and the New Cat Crew had been huddled together plotting and that they were planning on attacking some point over the next few days.

I was confused as ever about Doublay's involvement, I never really knew if he could be trusted but there would seem to be no reason for him to make up such a thing.

The lighter Naughty Twin couldn't hang around for long as she said she had to find Mogsie to tell him. I'm guessing the Cat Council meeting will be brought forward, oh I do hope he's been working on his plan and it's finalised, I can feel the tension in the air.

Recruitment Drive

So another late night last night. The Daddies took River out to go and see the girl, it was her birthday, I'll say Happy Birthday when I see her but at the moment I have more pressing matters to contend with.
As the Daddies went out I saw the lighter Naughty Twin sitting on the roof of the car, she was waiting for me with a message from Mogsie to be careful. Ginger Cat passed a message that he'd heard that Foxy and the New Cat Crew where not working alone.

WHAT!

Yes, Silver Eyes was back.

I could hardly believe my ears but she assured me that Silver Eyes had also been spotted. This was getting very serious now, it seemed like there was a full recruitment drive going on. I guess there is strength in numbers but there's only so many of us in this Catworld
.
Was there a plan I asked and the lighter Naughty Twin said yes there was but Mogsie wasn't ready to divulge it yet, but as soon as things had been confirmed up he would call a Cat Council meeting.

With that she was off, leaving me to my own thoughts. I was so glad when River and the Daddies came home so I wasn't here on my own.

I didn't sleep well and was up early, trying to work out what Mogsie could be conjuring up when River came bounding over. Of course I tried to warn her but she was having none of it.
How on earth can someone so small be so awake, so early? I'm off while I've still got a clear route.

No Cat Scares Me But...

I'm very tired today.

After the lighter Naughty Twins revelation last night I couldn't settle. It was tough enough for me to stand up to Foxy and Flash last time, no cat scares me but to have to take on one Fox let alone two is not something I realish.
It's great that all the cats of Catworld are rallying around me, quite touching really, and I'm thankful that Rivers here as much as she likes to chase me around I've no doubt that she'll protect me but she's young still herself and so small compared to a pair of full grown Foxes. No I don't want her to get involved.

I think I'm going to get some rest now, rest my body as well as my mind, maybe things will be clearer when I wake up.

The Target

OMG I've just found out what all this business with Flash and Foxy is about.

The daddies were watching TV with River and so the window ledge was free, it's a lovely evening, the windows open and so I decided to sit and have a watch the sun setting. I jumped up to look out and spotted the lighter Naughty Twin sitting by the window.

Hello, I said, beautiful evening isn't it.

I'm glad I've caught you I've something to tell you but I'm not sure how to start.

Daddy always says the beginning is a good place.

Spit's been doing some sniffing around, popped over to see Ginger Cat earlier to see if Foxy or Flash had been bothering them.

I was all ears.

He told Spit that they are out to get you.

What!

They are both still smarting about what happened a while back and want revenge. Lil' you're their target. They're coming to get you they've been keeping a bit of a recky on your movements.

My head spun.

Mogsie knows and I'm here to keep a bit of an eye out. Mogsie and George are having a scout of the area. Lil' you must stay in, they are furious and are wanting revenge! You must be careful. We're working on a rota. We know you dealt with them before but Foxy's been working out and he's not alone, Silver Eyes has also been spotted lurking around!

Slowly Slowly Catchy Monkey

It's a goer as far as our coffee morning is concerned.

Sarah was sitting watching the world go by and the drizzle come down under R's car and I called out to her from the open office window. Stay Daddy was just having a chat on the phone with Disappears Daddy and so I took the opportunity to ask if she fancied coming over in the next few days with Emma for a little catch up.

She instantly responded in the affirmative and asked me how things were. I guessed that she was talking about the Foxy and Silver Eyes situation and told her that I was fine.

Apparently they haven't been seen this past couple of nights and so everyone is relaxing a little about things. I guess we are now on amber not red alert.

She asked if I'd asked Emma yet and I told her no she'd not been over this way and she said that she would mention it to her which saves me from having to try and get a message across.

Looking forward to it she said and you can fill me in on how things are going with George and then smiled. Um well I think I could do with some girly advice there about how to move things on a bit but there's no urgently as daddy says Slowly Slowly Catchy Monkey.

Revenge Is On His Mind

The Crows just come calling. He told me that there's been rumours on their network that Foxy has returned and brought Silver Eyes with him. The purpose - revenge is on his mind.

The Crow said that he was leaving 2 Magpies to keep watch over me and who upon the slightest sign of trouble would fly direct to him and then the Land of Birds would spring into action.

Why is everyone so concerned?

Because, he told me, the word on the streets was that he was still very angry over the humiliation received and he wanted to make an example of me. His plan to send a very clear message to everyone that he was not to be messed with.

Well if someone needs to bring a mate to help them in their dirty work then it says a lot for their lack of courage. Still everyone seems to be very concerned and it's a stupid person that would ignore that so I thanks him and assured him that I would take extra care.

Wow it's actually quiet flattering that so many people are springing to my defence.

What Do They Know That I Don't?

I seem to be under some sort of protection at the moment. Mogsie is out the front pacing up and down and the lighter Naughty Twin is out the back keeping watch. Even George was as it yesterday afternoon.
I can only assume that this is something to do with both Foxy Lectar and Silver Eyes hanging around here at the moment.

It's all very nice and lovely of them but I really don't want anyone to be putting themselves out for me. You know what there may be two of them but that doesn't worry me I'll always stand up for right no matter how much people try to intimidate me. It has got me thinking though what do they know that I don't?

On Guard

I've only just noticed George hiding out the back.

I was sitting on the table window table which has been moved right right underneath the window and finally been tidied up from all the bric-a-brac, I guess some good things do come from daddies moving madness and I saw his head pop up.

I do believe he is on guard watching over me. How sweet but he really has no need to worry I don't think Foxy or Silver Eyes will be coming anywhere near me with River now firmly ensconced. Still very touching all the same.

Foxy Lectar AND Silver Eyes Are Back

Finally I've found out what all the fuss in Catworld today was about.

After this mornings activity things have been pretty quiet all day. Daddy worked and then went on a big move around and tidy up so I kept out of his way up, falling asleep up in the office. I came down when it sounded like he had finished and I could see River outside playing so I knew the coast was clear.

Blow me but within a couple of minutes the darker Naughty Twin came running down the road. Luckily daddy had got himself into a bit of a sweat earlier and the window was open so I called over to him asking what was going on.

Without stopping he called back that both Foxy Lectar AND Silver Eyes had been spotted lurking around last night and there's holes everywhere.

I didn't have a clue there's no holes or damage over here.

By the time I'd digested what he had said he had gone but following just a minute behind him was a very angry and determined looking Mogsie. He didn't look over here at me and I didn't call to him he didn't look in the mood.

So he's come with reinforcements has he. Oh dear whatever next!

Last Night With Troy Lamore - Part 3

With that up we got. You ready? he asked. Let's go!

I smiled and off we sped. Once more over the fence we jumped into C's garden.

Keep up. I laughed back as I led the way.

This time I had no sense of hesitation. Even though it was late, near on midnight and we were running right into a potentially explosive situation I wasn't scared. There's something about Troy that when you are with him anything is possible.

I had no idea what he meant about us both going to a place we'd  never been to before and I didn't really want to know The adventure can be in surprise! No need to worry or over analyse That I guess it what can happen when you feel invisible.

Down the road we ran, the front gardens again our playground, before I knew it we were at the end of the road and we both slowed to a halt. Catching our breath in the cold night air I could see a small plume of white smoke coming from his nose enveloping his face like a cloud of angels.

After a couple of minutes he nodded towards a big dark tunnel. Through there is it? he asked.

I nodded

Shall we? he said.

I nodded. Curious to find out what was happening but a little more nervous now that we were so close.

Remember, he said,  I'll never let anything hurt you?

I knew.

At that point a howl came from the other side echoing manically through the tunnels entrance towards us. I was startled, Foxy Lectar was just in front of us about to take the same journey. We needed to hurry but couldn't pass him without being seen. We must follow quietly, even the sound of breathing could alert him.

Remember. Troy whispered in my ear Calm is key.

He raised his paw and touched the side of my cheek. Let's go and we slowly followed Foxy into the tunnel.

The light of the lamp glowed orange at the far end and I could see some figures milling around underneath it. There was defiantly cats there although from this distance I couldn't make out who it was.

I wasn't sure who from Catworld I would find down here. With everything that had happened I'd forgotten to find out. I thought George or Mogsie would have been there hiding to see what happened but perhaps some of the others had also ventured down but I had no real idea of knowing for sure.

Foxy was half way through and had also spotted the gang under the lamp light and had slowed to a near halt.

We approached remaining about 10 meters behind him, he was alone no Silver Eyes. There was enough distance for us to have a lead on him if he spotted us and ran to attack. I could hear the sound of his anger and I must have made a noise. He turned!

I dared not look up and just concentrated on what was below me praying that we had become invisible. We must have stood still for a few minutes but it could just have been a couple of seconds in reality. He turned back towards the cats ahead and slowly paced towards the glowing light of the lamp.

We followed and the nearer we got the clearly the scene before us became.

The cats gathered were having some sort of a disagreement. I could make out Flash sitting barking orders and Chameleon pacing around menacingly. Both Spit and Doublay were there as well but something wasn't right.

The rage coming from Flash was aimed at Doublay who looked terrified!

Foxy Lectar had also stopped right at the end of the tunnel and was watching them a smile growing broadly across his face. If they hadn't been so preoccupied they could have seen him.

Chameleon was walking around Doublay and nearby sitting Spit shouting his head off. I had no idea why? Spit just sat there looking like he wanted to blend into the background.

I swear Chameleon was about to hit Doublay but at that defining moment a rabbit jumped out of the long grass that was growing on the side and made everyone jump.

The New Cat Crew spotted Foxy Lectar and everything froze in time.

Foxy slowly moved out of the shadows and into the lights full beam.

Doublay and Spit were trembling I could see that clearly even in this dim light.

Flash and Chameleon were brazing it out. The food pile right in front of them. The battle we had hoped to occur was unfolding right in front of our eyes.

That's a surprise! Troy turned to me. I wasn't expecting that!

Come on, he indicated to some taller plants, bushes and grass to our left.

We can get a better view from up there, and off he slithered.

My wanderer certainly knew where we were heading I had no idea. I could see a little mound a bit higher perhaps it was there, it would give us a great view and we'd be perfectly positioned for a quick getaway across the allotments on the other side.

I knew instinctively that he would protect me but this situation was unpredictable and I began to look around to get the lay of the land.

Foxy moved towards Flash, growling and smiling.

Flash stood his ground.

Chameleon started to hiss. Spit's eyes were wide open it didn't look like he knew what to do.

I couldn't see very well so I moved a little Troy was sat by me watching intensely as if to spring into action at a seconds notice.

A sound came from Doublay's mouth, a nervous laugh. You could tell he was on the edge.

I show you what's funny. Foxy turned to Doublay.

ME! and with that he began to run towards him.

The bushes we were in parted, a sudden wind whipped my fur. I looked down my were my feet moving I was jumping straight through the bush and straight into Foxy Lectar's line of direction.

At It Again

Well I thought that was too good to be true, Foxy Lectar and Silver Eyes have been at it again.

Stay daddy was getting up and I jumped off the bed and onto the window ledge to give him some room, so he could get a move on. Low and behold who should I spot out of the window but them pesky foxes.

They were each on a separate shed roof but looking directly in my direction, like they were waiting for me to spot them. Silver Eyes made sure that he had caught my attention before running off. Foxy however just stayed there bogging me out.

I called to daddy and looked out the window and spotted them. As he opened the window Foxy squinted his eyes at him and then turned very slow and walked off, looking behind just the once.

I can see that there's no damage in the garden so I'm guessing that they haven't be on my land. They don't however look like they've been up to no mischief. I shall have to see what I can find out about their recent movements as everything has been very quiet on that front recently.

The Clean Up

Well the clean up has been a great success. I've no idea if the Wood Pigeons managed to get the squirrels to help us as I've not clapped eyes on them for days.

Stay daddy said he was talking to C about them and she has seen a little fat squirrel that jumped over Emma, I think he said. I wanna meet him.

One of the Naughty Twins popped around earlier and, without looking my way as I sat in the window, passed on the message that any potential fox scraps from the other side of the road had been eliminated. I've been fairly busy making sure that my patch is clean.

I did find that one of the foxes had broken the back wall again, this time the bricks been smashed to pieces on Sunday but absolutely nothing since. I've not even had the chance to persuade the daddies to drop tip bits which is good as I was a bit stumped as to how I could make that happen.

So far, so good. An eye out will still remain though.

Foxy Lectar Takes On The Wiseman

Another morning and another early morning confrontation from Foxy Lectar and Silver Eyes.

They are upping their game, not only are they growing in confidence with their daylight trips but they are now displaying signs of totally brazenness and vandalism.

As Disappears daddy bathed and Stay daddy was began to stir I decided to have a little look out the window to see if I could catch one of the Squirrels. Imagine my shock to see both Foxy and Silver Eyes in the garden.

I called out to the daddies to come look, I made such a noise that they both came running immediately.

Both of them pesky foxes were sitting in the back garden. While Foxy was eyeing up his early morning breakfast, one of the black birds, Silver was happily knocking down a bit of the back wall.

When daddy opened the window Silver ran off but Foxy just turned and smiled, taking no notice at the daddies calling out to them. The blackbird flew to safety onto AM's fence but that didn't deter Foxy who tried some sort of Jedi mind trick on him to hypnotise his gaze and they just sat there staring at each other.

Daddy called out and it seems to break the trance and the black bird flew of. Foxy didn't look too impressed and tried to hypnotise the daddies by staring back straight into their eyes. I looked away as someone here needed to ensure that they were not under their control, although I had no idea what I could do if he gained power over the daddies, all by myself.

Foxy slowly turned and walked over to The Wiseman, who just stared ahead, as always, as ever. Foxy then did the unimaginable and knocked into him, a sure sign of disrespect, before jumping onto the back wall and slowly swishing his tale took his time walking along my lands boundary.

When he reached the shed he turned, took one final look and then leaped, like a horse over a jumping pole into one of the other gardens.

When the daddies went out I ran up to The Wiseman, he was OK, no signs of any reaction. I could see the black bird was high up in the tree, apparently unaffected by the confrontation. Still no signs of any of the other cats, Squirrels or Wood Pigeons. I shall report this back to the Naughty Twins later and get them to spread the word.
