Foxy Lectar Is Back

 I’m on high alert.

A fox just ran into to the kitchen and nicked one of daddies trainers. I ran after him followed by both my daddies, but I didn’t catch him.

River just slept through it all.

I heard daddy say Foxy Lectar is back.

I don’t know who that is but I have heard tales!

I don't see why I have to stay in I'm a cat and very fast. I can outrun him.

It's not Foxy Lectar, Foxy Lectar is way much older than this one.

This Is Disturbing

Oh my goodness.

First of all a couple of weeks ago I spotted Flash looking intently at me over the fence without saying anything and now I've just spotted Foxy Lectar curled up on the sunshine shed, not that it's sunny anymore, staring at the house.

What on earth is going on? I think I need to put some feelers out, this is disturbing.

He Was Very Sure Of Himself

I've been keeping my eyes very pealed today. Pealed so I can spot the moments of the audacious cat Magnus. 

There more I've thought about it the more I'm shocked at his behaviour. He wasn't trying to bully like Flash and Foxy did but he was very sure of himself. 

A little bit too much me thinks.

A Treasure Hunt

Peace at last. Daddy has taken River out for some sort of a treasure hunt, I'm not sure what they are looking for but they both seemed very excited.

All this talk of treasure got me thinking about Flash and Foxy and the treasures they've been after and trying to bully out of me.

Mogsie said he was going to be taking care of it for me after Flash tried to break in and since then I've not seen hide nor hare of either of them, his absence is beginning to make me concerned I do hope he's OK.

I think I'll try and find Ginger Cat this evening see if he knows anything, I think I know where he lives, it's up the back somewhere. It's better than just sitting worrying. I know Mogsie can look after himself but still...

A Pretty Normal Saturday Morning Apart From One Thing.

It's a beautiful morning which makes a change after the rather dreary weather that's been plaguing us this past week.

Everyone is pretty much asleep, Daddy is upstairs he's been working very hard recently, and River although she managed to drag herself downstairs is asleep on the chair while my other Daddy is pottering in the kitchen. A pretty normal Saturday morning then except for one thing.

I've just had a catty powers thought. I call it a catty powers one because it came out of no where, the catty instinct is kicking in.

I've been sitting in the sun just daydreaming when it came to me almost as if I was talking to myself. Why have I not noticed before that things are strange around here. I mean things seem to start to happen and then just suddenly stop for no reason.

Sofia and mean for one, I've not seen her for ages she just comes get my heart all a fluttering and then disappears again.

Flash and Foxy and their threats. Not that long ago I was on high alert for an attack and then nothing.

Theo. I've still not managed to tell him what happened when I met up with Purlean, he keeps on disappearing from radar.

Why?

That's what I keep asking myself now I've thought about it, why? These things seem connected in someway, hey even I seem to have almost forgotten that Greego The Pixie is still asleep upstairs and I have no idea why it keeps on slipping from the front of my mind.

Somehow these things seem connected, I just don't know how. I think I may go and try and find Ginger Cat he was going to help recruit a third Witches Familiar to join me and Theo in forming a new Coven of 3 to try and help Greego but even he seems to have dropped of the planet along with Doublay.

DOUBLAY! Oh my I'd forgotten about him as well, he's disappeared to.

Hang on the more I think about it the more I'm sure. I think Catworld is under some sort of spell.

Pssting At Me From Within The Foliage

"Psst!"

I quickly scanned the garden. Nothing

"PSST!"

It came again, this time my hearing hadn't quiet settled to resting to I was able to pin point the sound to somewhere in the direction of the Peace Garden.

"PSST, PSST, PSST, PSST, PSST!"

Quick as a dash my eyes spotted Sofia pssting at me from within the foliage.

I quickly ran over to her, smile on my face.

"I've missed you, where you been?" Before I could think caution the words were out my mouth. Sofia smiled back at me.

"Me to." She bent her head slightly to hide an independent smile. I smiled out and in, it was lovely to see her.

"Are you OK, I've been worried about you."

No filter this morning for me.

"Yes I'm fine, I just needed to keep a low profile for a while, till some of the heat died down."

I nodded, "Did you hear about George?"

Sofia nodded a sad look over her face. "Yes Mogsie came and told us. He was a nice fellow."

I nodded, "A really good friend to me."

"To all." Sofia chimed in we both nodded a silence joining the wind bristling in the trees.

Sofia broke the silence, "I'm sorry if you were worried but things were getting to out of control with Flash and all that."

"I know, it's been very quiet recently."

"A temporary truce I think Mogsie said, out of respect for George. Chameleon came and delivered the message to Mogsie and Mogsie came and told us."

"That would explain it." I wasn't sure what to say, I suddenly felt very self conscious.

"Doublay's decided he needs to get completely out of the district, did you know."

I shook my head, my lips not moving but inside frustrated, one of the potential new Coven of 3 now gone for sure. I know Ginger Cat was on the case and their were still Theo and me but we needed as many witches familiars as possible to come and help. I still didn't say anything.

"Come, follow me, let's have some fun, we've not done that for a while." Her smile warmed.

"Come on then, what do you have in mind?"

"Whatever comes along."

With that Sofia was off over the back wall, me quickly behind.

I'm Sure She'll Be In It - Her Reputation Proceeds Her

I've just had my chat with Ginger Cat.

I was enjoying the day on the sunshine shed, it's sunny but there's the odd cloud too so I wasn't getting too hot sitting in it when all of a sudden there he was sitting in front of me just staring and smiling.

We exchanged hello's and general chit-chat pleasantries and then he said what I was thinking all along. He had also been to the Time Consciousness and said he saw me there.

I was dumbstruck that he was so upfront about it and relieved at the same time, for so long I've been wanting to ask him if it was him I was there. Now I knew.

I also understand that you've been having a bit of trouble trying to re-form a new Coven of 3.

I nodded and told him how I'd been trying to persuade Theo and that although Doublay had agreed he was now in hiding since all the trouble with Foxy Lectar, Flash and the New Cat Crew.

"I might be able to help you there." He said. "I've contacts far and wide and it just so happens that I know one of them is a witches familiar."

My heart jumped, nervous and excited.

"Really!" I almost jumped to give him a hug.

"No problem." He smiled back. "It might take a little while,ss he lives a bit of a way away but I'm sure she'll be in it. She likes a good challenge."

"Thank you so much. I've been having real problems with this, my friend Greego he's been cursed with a sleep spell ofr over a year now."

"Oh yes I know Greego the Pixie, I think there's very few who haven't either met him or heard of him. His reputation proceeds him." 

He grinned a knowing smile, nodded and jumped down into the gardens at the back of our house. "I'll be in touch."He shouted as he sped away.

My Antenna Is Going On High Alert

Well I've spent the last hour or so sniffing around, investigating and although there's lots of unusual animal smells around I can't pin it down to either cats, dogs, squirrels or foxes. I think we've had a visitor in the night from some unknown creature.

My antenna is going on high alert maybe a new breed is emerging?

Such Cheek Without Response.

I was sitting in the window with River watching Twizzle take her daddy for a walk and Mogsie enjoying the last of the afternoon sun when all of a sudden River started barking.

I looked down to see bold as brass Chameleon nonchalantly walking right under the window.

I thought he was about to try and jump in the window but he carried on walking by. My heckles went up, how dare he. I was about to have a rant at him then I saw him cross the road...

...and walk right towards Mogsie. 

Then something really surprising happened, he walked right by Mogsie and Mogsie just stared at him. I know he said I should leave the New Cat Crew and Foxy to him, he has his plan, but I did not expect Mogsie to take such cheek without response. I'm guessing it's all in his plan, I just wish I knew what it was.

If I Had Any Doubt - That's When All Of A Sudden It Happened

If I had an doubt about Mogsie's ability to lead and look after us all it's just been quashed.

I'd just finished dinner and decided to join Daddy in the window, watching the last sun of the day paint everything a warm orange when I spotted what I thought was Mogsie sitting in the bushes over at Tiny's house.

I watched him with a growing sense of amusement as just the odd ear tip or eye suddenly appeared from behind the plant as he looked left or right. That's when all of a sudden it happened. I hadn't notice that a rather large dog was walking up the road, being led by his mum, just as the dog reached Mogsie it lent in for a look. Quick as a Flash out came Mogsie's paw swiping at the dog who jumped back in surprise before running off after his mummy.

Wow there really is nothing Mogsie is scared of tackling, makes me feel a lot more secure that he knows exactly what he's doing with Flash and Foxy Lectar.

How on earth could I have doubted him?

Message Received and Message Sent

I've spent the past couple of days trying to find Theo I need to tell him what I remembered about Purlean and my time in the Time Consciousness but he's nowhere to be seen. The message was received from the universe very clearly and now I know that without fail I must reform the Coven of 3 as quickly as I can. I can't believe so much time has been wasted in folly.

I put a message out to George when I saw him earlier to ask him if he or Mogsie knew where he was. He said no he hadn't but he would ask Mogsie he saw him.

Well Mogsie has just popped over, he said he hadn't seen Theo but asked what the urgency was. Of course I told him that's when he looked at me with a serious eye.

"You've got an even bigger problem that you think."

I looked at him confused.

"You know I put Doublay in hiding?"

I nodded.

"Well he's gone."

"GONE!" I almost shouted at him.

"Yes, but it's OK, a message sent by Doublay has reached me, we have a special code word so I know it was certainly from him. he's OK but he said he's not coming back anytime soon."

"But he must come back." I was crestfallen. "I need three black cats for a Coven of 3 and now there's only me."

"And, Theo." Mogsie jumped in.

"No," I shook my head, "I've not got Theo to agree yet."

Mogsie smiled, "Exactly, yet! That story is not done!"

I nodded, "Do you know any other black cats?"

Mogsie shook his head, "No, not from around here, but don't give up on Doublay yet, my plan to deal with Foxy Lectar and The New Cat Crew is nearly complete, when word gets out I'm sure Doublay will return, the Sparrow Sisters can't help but have a good gossip, it'll get back to him. You just concern yourself with persuading Theo. Do what you can and don't worry about what you can't. Let me deal with that."

I guess I've got not much choice.

Fortune Favours The Brave

I've finally managed to catch hold of Mogsie, he was out enjoying some of this morning sun, strange day weather wise, sun then cloud, cold then warm.

Anyway he was out catching sun sun when I spotted him out of the window. I called over to him and he nodded back.

I asked him if we could have a chat. He finished licking his paw and smiled back.

First of all I said I wanted to let him know about Foxy's vandalism in our garden the other day. I explained what had happened, Mogsie silently listening, taking mental notes.

When I finished I looked at him waiting for him to speak but he said nothing. I think I was wanting to hear and see outrage but all I got back was a blank impression.

In the end I had to break the silence.

"What should I do?"

"Nothing." Came his short reply.

"Nothing?" I was a bit surprised.

"Keep you and River safe but apart form that do nothing. I said before I have this situation in control and he's acting pretty much as I thought he would so for the moment just do nothing, my plan is working."

The look on my face must have given away what I was thinking. Mogsie smiled;

"I promise you when the time is right I'll let you in on it but at the moment please trust me and just let things unfold, but be sure to keep me informed of any further incidents."

As frustrated as I was I had very little choice to go along with what he said.

"There was something else I wanted to talk to you about. There's a girl I like, Sofia. I like her and I think she likes me but I'm not sure what to do about it."

Mogsie laughed, his head going backward, his tongue moving from side to side as it he was trying to dry it off in the wind.

"Ah," he said, "You want some female advice?"

I felt a little self-conscious and went a bit shy."

"Yes," I said, "George said I should speak to you about things, said he wasn't the best person to ask when it came to ladies."

"Ain't that the truth." I'm sure I saw a bit of smugness float across his cheek. I'd love to know what this was all about but the advice was a more pressing matter than getting a bit of gossip.

"So what do you want to know?"

"Well," I began, "what should I do?"

"What do you want to do?" Seemed a simple enough question.

"I'd like to spend some more time with her. She comes and goes and I think we've been doing a bit of flirting but I've never asked a girl out before."

A warmth spread across Mogsies face and he turned to look at me.

"So you'd like to ask her out for a date?"

I nodded and I'm sure blushed a little.

"Well then, I think it's simple. You should ask her how she feels about spending some more time with you. But it's important for you to think of her though. How much do you know about her? What does she like doing?"

"I don't know." Maybe this wasn't as simple as he first said.

"Treat her with respect, like a lady, try and find out a little more about her interests, does she like looking at the night sky for example or enjoying running through gardens or does she like surprises, a dinner in a favourite place?"

I tried to think.

"I don't know."

Mogsie shifted position and looked at me a little more seriously.

"David there's no hard and fast rule but there are some very important things you should know. Always treat another person with respect, don't overstep a boundary, show her kindness, be true to who you are and be brave."

"Be brave?"

"Yes," Mogsie nodded and cleaned a bit of grass stuck between his teeth. "Be brave! ask her if she would like to go out on a date. It's clear, it's honest and if you don't you'll just be left wondering."

"But what if she says no?"

"Then you know where you stand and you can put this behind you. But think, if you like her, what if she says yes?" He smiled again.

"You really think I should?"

Mogsie nodded. "The important thing though is David is do you think you should?"

I thought for a moment and nodded back, Mogsie returned my smile.

"Fortune favours the brave my friend."

Well I hope so.

I Guess I Spoke Too Soon

I was only saying the other day about there had been no recent threats from Flash or Foxy, I guess I spoke too soon.

There I was about to tuck into my morning Dreamies when I heard a big sign from Daddy. I turned to see what had caused such a reaction in him to see him looking out into the back garden.

I quickly went out the doorflap and to my amazement a string of rubbish from the rubbish bag he'd forgotten to put in the bin was strewn all over the place.

Yes, a very worrying sign indeed, I guess they are stepping things up again, I must speak to Mogsie today and let him and George know. I wonder if they are talking to each other yet after their fall out?

Some Clue

Well luckily whatever problem there was between Mogsie and George it didn't escalate into blows, just a lot of calling insults and eye bogging before they both moved off in separate directions.

I'm not sure where George is now but Mogsie is cleaning himself in the last of the days sunlight.

I did call over hello to him, I still need some advice about Sofia. Mogsie smiled and nodded back but I got the impression he just wanted to be left alone so that's what I've decided to do for tonight. I'll see if I can catch him tomorrow, I'd like to see if I can get out of him some clue as to what his plan is in dealing with Flash and Foxy as they've not been around threatening me lately and there deadline has long gone.

Plan B Is In Operation

I've finally caught up with Mogsie.

He was out in his garden enjoying the last ray of the days sun, it's been a sunny one, when I called over to him Daddy had the window open so I didn't have to shout loud.

"Hey." He called back to my hello, "How you doing?"

How am I doing? How am I doing? I could have shouted even louder at him. I've been waiting ages for him to let me know what was going on and now that Doublay had disappeared I was doubly incensed and I told him so in no uncertain terms.

Mogsie just smiled back at me. "It's OK David, no need to worry about Doublay, we've got him tucked away in a safe house."

I wasn't expecting that and I think the look on my face gave it away and Mogsie smiled again.

"Oh little David-Shiro, trust me I have everything under control, OK there was a little hiccup in my original plan to infiltrate The New Cat Crew but as it turned out Doublay getting busted as a double agent has worked in our favour."

"Our favour?" I shrugged my shoulder, "I don't understand."

Mogise licked a paw.

"It's got them rattled, they think they are the only one's who can play games. They're not."

I thought for a moment trying to understand what he was getting at, my face gave it away again, I must practise a poker face.

"It only takes the suspicion of mistrust to create dissension amongst the ranks. what better way than to destroy this new gang than to get them all suspicious of each other."

"But," I interrupted, "Sofia has been around and she's worried about her brother Milo, he's being bullied by Flash and Foxy and the others."

"I know." Mogsie shifted his weight from one side to another, "And it is concerning but I'm keeping an eye on the situation and will step in if need be but trust me at the moment just for a little while longer, Plan B is in operation and going exactly as I hoped!"
