You Just Never Can Be Sure What They Are Up To!

I'm now beginning to think that whatever Sarah may have buried in the front garden may have something to do with Chameleon as he's been sitting across the road staring over here for ages. In any case it's producing a fair amount of interest, I'm beginning to think maybe the lighter Naughty Twin was keeping watch out for it especially since I've spotted Chameleon hanging around.

Now I've drawn up a list of why I think he is doing that;

1. Sarah has buried something that is his and has stolen and hidden it but that would be very unlike her.
2. Sarah has buried something that is of interest to him but as he's a member of The New Cat Crew it might not be his, or
3. He did come across here a while ago after hearing the rumor that I was back and maybe he's trying to see if he can spot anything about that, communicate with me, that sort of thing.

The problem is with any member of The New Cat Crew you just never can be sure what they are up to!

It's So Hard When You Can't Communicate

At last George has turned up and is looking very sorry for himself.

I don't blame him, it's so hard when you can't communicate properly with those around you no matter how much you try they either just don't hear you or understand what you are trying to tell them. I should know I've had the same problem for a while now.

Everything that's happened this year has brought us two closer than ever before and I've gained a new respect for George. I really feel I can trust him, not quite the case when we were seeing each other but hey things are very different now and there's no frisky Sarah to contend with.

I went up and sat by him, he felt my presence and opened his mouth but nothing came out, I think he just gave up even trying knowing nothing of much sense would come out.

I didn't know where to begin but as Daddy says the beginning is the best place so I told him that I didn't manage to find anything on cat spells in Daddies office. He gave a sigh out like he was expecting that answer and he had given up hope.

I reassured him that I wasn't giving up and that he should get so down with it all and tried a small smile but I know he couldn't see me, he wasn't even really looking in my direction.

Well at least I know now that sometimes George can see me and at other times he can't, another thing to add to my list of things I've learnt about my new state of being.

These lists keep on growing and seem to be everywhere around me at the moment.

I then explained to him what I had seen this morning with Doublay and Tiger going over to Mogsie's and asked him did he think this was linked in with what happened to him.

He nodded and turned and looked me right in the eye, he could see me again.

He then raised him paw and drew something in the grass but I couldn't make out what it was.

It was kind of round and I thought really hard as to what it could be. It all looped around.

Is it a circle? I asked

He shook his head and drew again another little bit on the top.

What was he trying to say? I was perplexed and thought really hard.

Is it a ship?

He shook his head again and began to rock his head from side to side.

No still wasn't getting it.

He drew a little line with a circle on the end at the bottom.

Oh I don't know.

Is it a bell? I guessed more a random guess than anything else.

He nodded.

A bell? I said quizzically.

What do you mean a bell, what's a bell mean?

*Gasp*

A BELL!

It suddenly hit me and I went cold and looked him straight in his eyes.

Has this got something to do with The Lane of Bells?

He nodded and put his head down.

OMG THE LANE OF BELLS!

The Right Mix Of Ingredients

There's some Sunday mornings when things are just right for other things to happen.

This one has the following ingredients.

It's quiet

It's rainy but not too bad

No other house inhabitants are awake

Daddy and I are sitting with each other, he gently stroking me and telling me things that he's reading in the news.

It doesn't happen all the time. There has to be the right mix of ingredients. It doesn't have to be this set but it works the same whatever they are if they are right.

Today's little gems being discussed;

  • The only survivors among the dinosaurs are the birds.

Now I'm sure that Crocodiles also go back to that time but wow you go birds.

  • They've discovered a pair of twin stars orbitting around each other.

Apparently this is very rare. They are only 950 million light years away, no distance at all then. No wonder it took them so long to find them.

  • We are going to be getting our best view of the year of the planet Mercury on Feb 15th and 16th.

OK well it floats his boat.

  • They've found a way to grow gold.
Now this one did make me sit up and listen. Grow Gold! Impossible! Or so I thought. They've found some sort of gold bacteria taken from the sea that some scientists have put on a little bit of gold and over times it's turned into a gold nugget. Now I thought daddy was pulling my leg but true or not that was what was reported in some very mainstream media.

  • They've found more than 45 billion earth like planets in the Milky Way.

Blimey!

  • And they've found two galaxy's that have crashed into each other over 2 billion years ago making the every things biggest structure ever observed and described as A glowing cosmic structure millions of light-years long.

Flipping Heck two galaxies merging!

That Leaves Me With A Question Or Two

Well I stayed up very late last night keeping an eye out for Foxy Lectar and no sightings on my watch I'm happy to report.

However we've just had another break in attempt by Spit. If they're not coming at us from one direction they are coming at us from the other. Daddy and River were both alerted to a tapping on my back door window. A quick investigate from them and it was confirmed, it wasn't me coming in.

Now what no one knew was I was watching all the action from the bedroom window. I could see Spit poking around in the garden and I wanted to see what he was up to.

I didn't see any of the usual Catworld residents around so he wasn't doing something with them. I looked around to see if I could see any of The New Cat Crew. No I couldn't!

So that leaves me with a question or two.

  1. If no one was around why was he trying to break in?
  2. If he was trying to come in what secret mission could he be on?
  3. If there was some other members of his gang around was he just trying to break in to throw them off the scent that he wanted to leave?
  4. If there was some other members of his gang around how on earth did they manage to be so hidden?

There Was A Land Of Real Magic

Daddy has finally put down his second book of the weekend and has been telling me all about it.

He's always got a couple on the go. This one he told me is called The Magic. Maybe it's something to do with the snow coming that has made him pick that one up.

He told me that the book says that each day you should sit down and write down ten things that you are grateful for. He said that the book said that if you do this each day it can help bring about a land of real magic.

Good idea so I sat and thought for ages and compiled my list;

1. I'm grateful for the daddies. They look after me and care for me and I love them very much.

2. I'm grateful for living here. It's so much nicer than when we lived in the big city. I feel so much safer here than I did there.

3. I'm grateful for Nadia and Alo and River the rest of our family. I know it's taken a while getting used to River being around but she fits in perfectly with the rest of us.

4. I'm grateful for all my friends here in Catworld. I've made so many more friends here and although it's taken me some time to really fit in I can't image not having them around.

5. I'm grateful that I can speak human it helps me know what's going on without anyone knowing.

6. I'm grateful that I've still got my place on the bed. As soon as I came to live with the daddies Evie shared her space by daddies feet and I just don't feel that I could cope if I lost that place.

7. I'm grateful that I do have my own places that I can go to to escape everyone. I think it's important to have quiet time when you need it when I can just zone out and go deep into my thoughts.

8. I'm grateful for the food and warmth of the fire and my duvet in the office and my dreamies treats. Enough said.

9. I'm grateful for the sun and the rain and the snow. If you didn't have all of these then the world wouldn't be the place that it is and I love it.

10. and finally I'm very grateful for all my new friends that I've made since Catworld began.

Oh snow just thinking of that, this will be the first time that River has ever seen proper snow, wow she really does have a magical time to come.

The Fairy Tale - The List Of 3

I'd been searching for ages for the fairy tale book and I just can't find it anywhere.

I decided to go have a look out of the bedroom window at the Winter Wonderland before me. I like to come up here and just tune out, getting lost in thought. The Crow calling out came out of the blue and startled me. It certainly woke me up.

Oh how could I have been so unfocused. The crow was giving me a clue all along.
I just needed to listen to my catty powers to understand.

My Agatha Chrisite head was working. I just hadn't been listening closely enough. When you do it works like magic. I'd been searching for ages and there it was under my nose all along.

On The Positive Side

Right I've been thinking long and hard and here's my list of positive things about the new kittens joining us.

1. I will have some local company. Especially when it's cold and snowing outside and no one really ventures out and we are heading towards that time rapidly.

2. I'll be able to help the new little kittens learn things and I guess I can learn some things from them too. I always tried with Charlie but he was such an independent little thing that you could never really show him anything, he always knew best. I guess it's my mothering side coming out.

3. When I want to have a sleep or a rest and the daddies want to play it'll give them others to disturb and not me. Actually I am beginning to see that new kittens joining could be turned to my advantage.

4. No matter what little kittens are cute and they could provide me with a few laughs and goodness only knows I could do with a few more of those what with all the drama that's taken place this year.

5. If I teach them well I can send them out to get me information from the rest of catworld without me having to venture too far out. It'll be a great extension to the information network. Kittens are naturally curious and they'll probably ask questions that I couldn't even think of.

6. If the daddies get two new kittens they are much less likely to get an older cat like Tia and therefore I won't have anyone trying to challenge me for my position.

7. It'll also mean that if Disappears daddy is going to get a dog that there is a large cat presence in this house and he won't be able to overrule us. There's strength in numbers.

The more I think of this the more advantages to this little arrangement I am beginning to find. Actually I am now going to positively encourage the daddies to get a move on.

The Book Of Fairies

Well I've been unsuccessful at getting Emma's attention through a closed window downstairs so I decided that if I went into the office then I could floor two tasks with one stone.

I could use this elevated position to call out to her as daddy keeps the window open most of the time that he is in there and I also could start my research on the fairies.
Although the door was closed I just had to wait until he popped out. I meowed a lot but stayed on the threshold and then he invited me in. It's a ploy I've used successfully before so I knew I stood a good chance of it working this time. Bingo I was in.

I knew not to push my luck but he'd have got suspicious if I hadn't tried to get some attention so I jumped on his lap and we had a little cuddle. I could see the window was open and got up off his lap when I could tell he needed to get back to work.

Up by the Little Lemon Tree I went, which by the way seems to be doing very well. There's a few more beautiful bright leaves that have sprouted this week and it's looking quite strong. Anyway I divert. Out I called again to Emma who was taking no notice of me. I don't know if she's ignoring me or just can't hear me, although she did seem to be a bit pre-occupied, looking at something I couldn't see myself.

I decided to come back to this later and diverted my attention to the little fairy book. There it was on the shelf. Now how could I get it down without being chucked out. Simple I just waited until he was on the phone, I know when he is there's nothing that will distract him.

Ring, ring and I sprang into action. As it fell to the floor, he turned around and gave me a right stare. I know he doesn't mean anything other than be quiet, which I was intending to do anyway. I had a feeling that I was going to be expelled as soon as he was off the phone and so got the book and left. I've hidden it in my other bedroom, he doesn't go in there much and I can read it at my leisure. That's one thing I can tick of the list.

Another Mental List

Right I've been sitting on nannies chair thinking and here's my mental list of things to do today. It's going to be a busy day.

1. Get the attention of Emma, or any of the others, to find out exactly what has happened to the darker Naughty Twin.

2. If it's some terrible zombie like contagious sickness find out how I can protect myself from becoming infected. Also find out if there is a cure as we can't leave him like that. Although where I will go to find out if there is a cure stumps me at the moment.

3. Investigate these fairy mushrooms. Daddy said that they have mystical powers so maybe they can help us in trying to bring the darker Naughty Twin back from the dark side. Now although you would think that this is an impossible task I already have a plan. Daddy has a book on fairies, I've seen it in our office, it's sure to contain information that I can utilise in my quest.

4. Distract Stay daddy, nick the book, read the book and make notes of how I can contact the fairies who own the mushrooms.

5. Locate and then persuade the fairies to help us in our quest.

6. Perform the required ritual and bring the darker Naughty Twin back to normal.

7. Find out what on earth the big glass bowl full of water that daddy has put on the window ledge is all about. It's way too big for it to be his drinking glass.

8. Go to sleep after all the tasks have been completed. I'm exhausted just thinking what's ahead of me today. Still onwards and upwards.

Oi Emma

The List of 3

Oh how could I have been so unfocussed. The birds were giving me clues all along, I just needed to listen to my catty powers to understand. I was thinking of taking a trip to The Wiseman to see if he could give me a clue as to what was going on in bird land but wanted to see if I could tune into the animal world network that crossed animal language barriers in times of intensity.

I sat and put myself into quiet contemplation thinking about the events of this morning. Suddenly it hit me. Agatha Christie head working today

The Goose from the Lake flew over 3 times this morning
There's 3 Sparrow Sisters
Initially the message was being spread by the wood pigeons, the black birds and the sparrow sisters, 3 birds groups.
And finally the crow called out 3 times.

3 they were calling out 3. Now this is a very important number to the animal world. It's a calling to listen, it's a calling to spread the word. As soon as I understood the birds broke into beautiful song.

It's a time that foretells, a time of Magic approaching.

Bonkers

This is just madness, according to some poll these are the top ten most unusual cat names of 2012. Wouldn't mind we're only just over half way through and what is this a competition to humiliate your cat?

1. Pico de Gato . Arriba
2. Dingleberry  - Tut
3. Dumpster Kitty - That's just cruel!
4. Schnicklefritz - Now that one I thought absurd at first but it's grown on me. Love it!
5. Koobenfarben - What's that German for fart?
6. Sassy Pants Huska - Cut to Rula Lenska
7.Vincent Van Furrball - Up himself
8. Kitty Gaga - Weird Slag.
9. Beefra - Smelly
10. Mister Bigglesworth - Now he I think is one worth getting to know.

PS Just to clear up any misunderstanding I love Lady Gaga and in no way am I suggesting she's a weird slag. It's the Kitty that makes it slaggy, look at this!

Things I Must Do

Stay at home daddy has been enquiring today  if I ever get bored. He says I sit and sleep a lot but I don't know what he's going on about. Each day there are so many things that I must do that it's no wonder that I need to rest in between.

So, more for my own amusement because nothing much has been going on outside, I've made a list of things that I must do each day;

  • Sit on stay at home daddies feet when he goes to the toilet at night for a wee. This ritual must not be broken, it'll bring down some evil curse if not completed each time, no matter how tired I am.
  • Wake, stay at home daddy at the crack of dawn each morning. The alarm is set too late for my liking and by that time he's already disturbed me with his 'can't keep still in bed once the sun's up feet' so I may as well get a stroke out of him even if it is a sleepy half hearted attempt.
  • Monday to Fridays only, get my morning pad and stroke ritual out of the way before he disappears with disappears through the day daddy, for a few minutes. Not chuffed if this one is ever missed off the list, it gets the day off to a bad start.
  • Say bless you every time without fail that, disappears through the day daddy, sneezes. I ignore stay at home daddy when he sneezes, it's a special thing just between us two.
  • Smile in a 'what on earth are you doing way' each time, stay at home daddy, tries to get me to repeat the bless you by pulling some silly face and making some sort of screaching sound, he's a long way to go before he can speak cat.
  • Run and jump over the sofa in a race to beat stay at home daddy when he feeds me whiskers pouches. He likes the competition and it makes me laugh to see him try to get there before me, never beat me yet.
  • Smell Nadia's wee every time she goes on the carpet, which is at least once a day. Boy can that Tortoise wee, still it never smells which is a bit of luck as I would not be impressed, I'm hyper clean I don't know why she can't follow my example, still I suppose it'd take her forever to get to the loo although she does walk rather quickly for a tortoise.
  • Make sure no other cat tries to break in when I'm not looking. Now this takes up at least 50% of my day so it's no wonder I'm tired at times.
  • Walk all over daddies laptop keyboard when he's typing, especially at night or when he's on the phone in his office. This one is for fun and so not actually a must do.
  • At least twice a day fool a daddy into thinking my food bowl is empty by talking loudly and looking longingly towards the hallway door where my dining equipment is even though it's always full up
  • And finally, I must, I repeat MUST sleep on the daddies feet at night. The like it, I like it, no apologies required.
