I Don’t Mind

 So I’m a pillow am I?

Oh well as long as I’m a comfort I don’t mind.

Pirouetting With Sharpened Wits

He kept his word. This time!

I'm not one for playing games, they don't work, effective, clear communication I hear from Daddy the whole time and I try to apply it to my life so when George turned up, on time 5 points, I thought I'd grab the bull by the horn and asked him what last Saturday night's kiss was all about?

He told me he'd been thinking about it for a while and then something at the Cat Party just made him drop his inhibitions and go for it.

GO FOR IT!

What am I a target. Don't think I was too impressed at his choice of words but 5 more points for his courage. OK come on lets hang out on the garage roof I suggested and he followed.

I cannot deny I enjoy his company, I always have but these men around here are a bit flickle, between George, Spit and Mogsie a girls gotta be on her toes and pirouetting with sharpened wits about her.

I didn't want to raise the question about where he thought this was going, I certainly didn't need to ask about him and Sarah, Spit's the father so I guess he's not going to be going back there again but I don't really fret about that sort of a situation, if I did I wouldn't be wasting anyone's time, but I was curious.

Leaving um' wanting more, not a game as such but when I felt the conversation was getting into an area I didn't feel I wanted to go yet I made my excuses, thanked him for a lovely time but I was going in now to get a bit of rest.

Same time tomorrow? He called after me.

I don't know what I may be doing but I'll see you around.

I needed some thinking time before I committed myself to anything!

My Night Visitors

I was just about to settle down for the evening with the Daddies, they're all excited about something on the TV, anyway there I was about to settle down when I heard a tap, tap on the front door.

I went up to the window to have a look out and saw both George and Emma outside. Great again George isn't on his own so we can't speak about Saturday night but I suppose he did come around.

He asked if I wanted to come out to hang out but I'd already set my mind to staying in tonight but I smiled and said if he was free I would tomorrow and to come on his own.

It's nice to see Emma's coming out of her shell a bit more this week as well , I do worry about her spending so much time of her own, well apart from Mogsie and Twizzle that is.

I don't know what it is this week but ever since the Cat Party this had been cat central, they've nearly all been over. I shall have to think about hosting a Christmas Party if everyone enjoyed it that much!

Sarah Certainly Seems More Herself Today

Daddy was finally washing the windows, they don't take long to get dirty with little nose and lick marks on them, not of course from me!

When he went out to do the back River went with him to keep him company and I got a nice clear view out of the window again, that's when I saw George looking in.

I wanted to have a word with him about the other night and that kiss but I couldn't as the darker Naughty Twin and Sarah were with him. I'm guessing the Cat Party was more of a success that I thought, funny I've never thought of myself as much of a hostess before but I guess it must have hit the spot with the cats around here. Sarah certainly seems more herself today!

The Cat Dance Begins And The Cat Dance Is Brought To An Abrupt End

What a night, I am feeling so rough today and by the look of George I'm not the only one. Things didn't go quiet as planning last night, for a start the guest of honour didn't turn up!

After my little adventure with River last night I had a nice long sleep and woke when I heard Daddy calling out to Emma. He must have seen her walk across the road on her way here and she got waylaid as he went out and gave her some strokes. I think he felt sorry for her outside in the rain, yes RAIN. The one night of the year you don't want it and all that, it poured down so we relocated to the garage.
Maybe that's why Mogsie didn't come, the message may not have got across? Well shortly after Emma turned up, Sarah and the Naughty Twins arrived, followed by George. Bella sent her apologises but she's on baby sitting duty tonight, which I can totally understand and Twizzle, like me never ventures across the road so I assumed she wouldn't be able to make it.

Off we started with the now sodden Dreamies but hey close your eyes and you can imagine them being covered in milk which made the damp taste of slightly more palatable but they really are not the same unless they crunch in your mouth as you chew them.

After a little chatter, I noticed Sarah was acting a strange and asked her what was up? She told me she'd eaten some stuff outside and it was making her feel all light headed but not in a bad way, just a bit relaxed and sleepy. I decided to keep a bit of an eye on her but decided to go over and have a bit of a chat with Emma. She's been keeping herself so much to herself these days that now I had the chance I thought I'd pounce on it and ask her how she was finding it living with Mogsie and Twizzle. Apparently she's still living in the hallway but it suits her. I then heard George and the Naughty Twins beginning to purr in unison, brilliant the parties really starting.

Sarah was gently rocking back and forth a grin all over her face and the Naughty Twins were beginning to swing together, a Cat party is a very personal experience and can affect us cats in different ways. George looked over to me and gave me a grin. I felt my own feet beginning to move and before I knew it I was dancing with Emma around the garage, jumping up on the walls to bounce off, round and round we went, faster and faster in time with the music. The Cat Dance had begun and soon we were all speeding round together apart form Sarah who just sat in the middle staring, the sound of George and the Naughty Twins spread to the rest of us and we all tuned in together, the noise distorted by our running into something reminiscent of the sound a wet finger makes on the top of a wide topped glass when moving around the rim. Oh heady times.

When you get caught up in the Cat Dance time goes and a minute could be a day, a day could be a second, time changes when the Cat Dance takes over, we move as one, the time of the past becomes the time of the now and images of time appeared to me on the walls as I ran. It felt like it was in slow motion but in reality I was travelling at vast speed. Some made sense, some maybe will, time will tell her secrets.

Then bang, a pot was caught by someone of there way around and fell smashing to the floor  We all stood still looking and panting the Cat Dance brought to an abrupt end! George walked straight up to me, kissed me, turned and disappeared through the broken garage door. Emma and the Naughty Twins ran after him without a word, Sarah just sat there grinning at me.

When The Cats Arrive

I've kept out of Stay Daddies way today, he's had a tense 24 hours and I didn't want my buzz of the Cat Party to be ruined by him but I did fancy a bit of attention before I went out so I went up to Disappears for a bit of a stroke.

I'm very excited about tonight, a Cat Party, a proper Cat Party is a rare occasion and one when called can attract a lot of attention. I've been squirrelling away Dreamies for the past few days, pretending I wouldn't eat my dinner unless Daddy gave me extra. It worked!

We're meeting at 11 it possible it could go on all night and as I've not seen anyone much around today I'm assuming everyone's getting themselves prepared.

I don't like to stress so I did my preening early. I was right it didn't take long for River to disturb me and chase me but I am in a good mood so I let her run after me for a while before jumping out of her way. She can't get up by AloHa so I can still chill out until it's time to go out and from this position I can see when the cats arrive!

Probably Trying To Keep His Head Low. Yeah Take Shame!

It's unseasonally warm today for it being an October but it does mean one thing, us cats are out and about today. It's not too warm to make us sleepy but it's warm enough to just sit and enjoy the day go by, listening to the sounds of the Sparrow Sister flying about having a gossip. Even the faint bark of some dog that lives up the back of M's is not even bothering me or ruining my chilled mood.

R's been trying to cut his lawn but Mogsie's been out and about and kept on sitting on the patch that R wanted to cut. Nice to see he's getting his spirit back again.

He;s also been watching the movement of the lighter Naughty Twin and her two kittens back over the road to where they actually do live, not that you'd know it the amount of time they spend over M's.

The Cat Party didn't take place last night, I guess I didn't give myself enough time to prepare and a Cat Party, a real Cat Party I mean, is not something to be rushed! It;s a very special occasion. I am however going to plan for it to be next Saturday night. The Daddies have finished mucking about in the garden for a while so I can now see what I've got to work with, we're definitely having it up by the back of the garage, out of the way of prying eyes.

Spit's also still missing. He seems to do a bit of a runner whenever there's new babies around but he turns back up after a couple of weeks. Probably trying to keep his head low. Yeah take shame!

If He Get's It Done In Time

Daddies been out in that garden again this afternoon, doing all sorts of pulling things around and sweeping and things, tidying up some of the mess he made at the weekend but it all seems to be a part of his plan, whatever it is that he's up to.

I decided to keep out of it and see what he'd done once the tools are put away, he's never the safest person to be around when he had things in his hands.

I couldn't quite see what he was up to from there so I decided to go and take a closer look but it's a jump from one roof to another and I've never really liked taking it but he's closed the bedroom window so I guess my only option is to go forwards.

Um well, if I stretch maybe I can see it from here.

No. No option here I go.

Right I must tread carefully up here I'm always hearing daddy say that.

Um well, it's a start I suppose. If he gets in done in time it'll be a perfect venue for the Cat Party on Saturday, just out the way enough for us not to be spotted from indoors.

A Fly-By

The Gooses from the lake have just done as fly-by tribute to Mogsie, to celebrate his recovery and return to Catworld.

I knew it was coming the darker Naughty Twin told me as she passed by earlier. I also asked her to spread the world Cat Party Saturday night at mine, I'm so excited!

Mogsie Is Back!

He's back, he's back, Oh my I'm so excited Mogsie is back!

I was just up with the daddies and River, they've been out in the garden tearing down the house of glass which doesn't make me that happy I've got some good memories of that place, and they have just come in.

I came downstairs I've been watching out the office window all day and haven't spotted him and now as soon as I take my eye off the ball there he is.

I feel so happy and I'm not the only one, he has a reception waiting. Get the bunting out the cat party preparations are a go.

The Most Wonderful News

The most wonderful news, I've just had a communication from Twizzle and it seems our hero may well be joining us tomorrow.

Lil

Very important news!

Can you spread the word.   Providing that Mogsie doesn't do anything silly
today, he can return to be the Protector of CatWorld tomorrow!   Isn't that
marvellous, he won't be moping around indoors any more and won't be wearing
that horrible green collar!   And then perhaps the lighter Naughty Twin will
stop sleeping in his kennel in my garden and go home.   I don't think that
she has left my garden since he's been not well.

Anyway spread the word and perhaps they'll be a welcoming committee waiting
to greet him.   I'll try to make sure that he comes out of the front door so
that you can be the first to see him.

Luv and purrs

Twizzle

I responded;

This indeed is the most wonderful news, Mogsie has been missed and I've already been thinking a cat party is in order. Thank you so much for letting me know I shall me keeping an eye out and I'll wave across to you when I see you next
Love Lil' x

I Can Sense A Cat Party Coming On

Mogsie is off to the Doctors I see and how lovely George, Sarah and both the Naughty Twins were there is see him off.

It's a bit of luck it's a hot day, Disappears is home and in cleaning mode so the windows are wide open which is the second piece of luck because it means I can get a pretty clear view of everything going on that I can't with the windows shut as River has licked all over them again and it's like trying to look through a frosted bathroom window.

Everyone's missing Mogsie, I can sense a cat party coming on to welcome him back.
