That's What Friends Are For

I've been keeping a close eye out the front in case Craig returned but so far nothing then all of a sudden I heard a voice coming from my right.

"Hey David."

I looked down and there Mogsie finally had come by.

"I'm so glad to see you."

He smiled back. "I hear from Craig that you've all been having some trouble over here."

I nodded, relief that Mogsie was here.

"Listen I know it may not feel like it right now but this is all going to be sorted very soon. I've been in contact with Ginger Cat, he's helping me out with this one."

More waves of relief danced up my back.

"And I understand he's also helping you out as well."

"I thought he's forgotten." A rush of excitement rushed back down my back.

"Ginger Cat never forgets, he's been working on..." Mogsie paused to clear his throat and smiled "you're little recruitment drive."

"Thank the universe, Greego has been stuck asleep for so long and I can't break the spell all on my own."

"That's what friends are for." Mogsie grinned, "And never forget David you have a lot of those around here!"

Chaos Had To Follow

It was a fairly peaceful morning. I say was because of course chaos had to follow.
I've been keeping a bit of a low profile since Flash's threats the other day. I have been going out but been keeping very alert.

As everyone had stopped for lunch I decided to keep a look out for Mogsie, I've still not seen him to ask for his help.

There I was when all of a sudden,

"David!"

I looked down and there was Craig on the front lawn, which really surprised me his usual domain is the back gardens.

"I've been wanting to catch you."

"Are you OK." I interrupted him,

"No, no we're not, that awful Flashy cat has been threatening us. He said unless we help him to get something from you he was going to run us all out of town."

"Oh no, that's terrible, I'm so sorry."

"It's not your fault." He darted his eyes left and right. "I can't be caught talking to you, we're all on high alert, of course we're not going to help him what on earth is it he wants?"

I was just about to answer when right behind me jumped River barking her head off. Craig of course ran off.

This is terrible Flash and his crew really need to be stopped. Oh Mogsie where are you?

My Antenna Is Going On High Alert

Well I've spent the last hour or so sniffing around, investigating and although there's lots of unusual animal smells around I can't pin it down to either cats, dogs, squirrels or foxes. I think we've had a visitor in the night from some unknown creature.

My antenna is going on high alert maybe a new breed is emerging?

Pluck Up The Courage

You pluck up courage to ask a lady out and what happens? Absolutely nothing, I can't find Sofia no matter how much I search for her and I have been searching all day.

I thought I heard her call out my name just now but it turned out to be Craig, resting in Squirrel Tree just calling out to say good afternoon.

I do hope she's OK.

The Hairs On My Shoulder's Were Standing Up

I searched for Mogsie for ages and just couldn't see him anywhere, if fact I couldn't find anyone, guess that's a rainy day for you keeps everyone indoors.

Anyway just as I had given up on him up he pops, there sitting on the front lawn as if he had been there all afternoon.

"Hi," I said, "I've been looking for you."

"So I understand." I was a little taken aback.

"Yes, I wanted to tell you that I saw Chameleon earlier on, he was hiding on your garage. Hang on a second how do you know I was looking for you I didn't see anyone."

"You may not have seen anyone but you were spotted."

"Who?" I was getting little annoyed, I felt I was being berated.

Mogsie's tone softened, "Craig, he saw you, it's my job to have eyes and ears everywhere and thank you for looking out for us, one of the Sparrow Sisters told me about Chameleon, those eyes and ears really are everywhere." He smiled.

"The thing is David, I know I'm asking a lot asking for you to trust in me but I really do know what I'm doing and you are beginning to draw attention to yourself and that will put you in peril. That's the last thing I want, you see you are very special David, more special that you know."

"Am I?" I was confused.

"Yes, David very special, you coming here was foretold to me and you MUST keep yourself safe, there's people out there that have no idea of your specialness and through their own greed they could stop something happening that needs to happen."

"What do you mean?" The hairs on my shoulders were standing up, maybe there was a slight chill in the air.

Mogsie signed, a weight of burden upon him. "I can't tell you any more than I already have, if I do it could influence and changes things, I've probably already said too much but please believe me it's VITAL you find your own path, absolutely vital."

I sat and thought for a while and looking back at Mogsie I nodded;

"OK. I'll do what you say."

Mogsie got up to leave.

"Hang on," I called after him. "Can you at least told me who foretold about me coming here?" I was desperate for some sort of an answer to something, everything was beginning to sound very mysterious and that unnerved me.

Mogsie turned, thought paused him before he spoke.

"OK but please David you must not repeat this to anyone, and I mean anyone."

I nodded, Mogsie looked into my eyes to see the truth of my words. Satisfied he signed once more;

"An old friend of mine, an old friend of all of Catworld, his name." He paused once more before continuing, "My friend, who told me about you coming here, I've mentioned him to you before, his name was Troy Lamore."

Suddenly my mind was all over the place, of course Mogsie had spoken to me about him before and so had George, way back so long ago, way before I entered The Time Consciousness and met Purlene. I'd forgotten all about it until Mogsie spoke his name again but now I remembered and now my catty powers were telling me Troy Lamore was much more important than I'd ever imagined and they were also telling me I needed to work harder at persuading Theo to join me and Doublay in reforming a new Coven of 3 and freeing Greego from his enforced sleep. How could I have been so sidetracked?

I Won't Have It, I Simply Won't Have It

I won't have it, I simply won't have it!

Flash is there now, at the back of the garden hiding behind the screen, staring at me as I sit on the table amongst the bric-a-brac.

I hissed at him and he just laughed and jumped up into Squirrel Tree, probably to try and scare them too.

Who on earth does he think he is? I will not give in to bullies, I simply won't. They want a battle, they've got a a battle. Now I'm mad!

Friend Or Foe

I've just had a very strange visitation.

I had finished off my morning milk and was sitting on the table amongst the bric-a-brac having a bathe when something caught my attention and I looked outside.

There sitting on the post at the back of the garden over to the right was a stranger staring back at me.

I was a little taken back, I didn't know whether to go out and say hello, or go out and chase him off. I tried to gauge friend or foe from his reactions to seeing me watching him but nothing, his face gave nothing at all away.

Suddenly he turned his head in the direction of squirrel tree, turned back to look at me and ran off.

I tried to see what could have spooked him but I couldn't see anything.

Very strange behaviour.

Deviousness!

It's been a quiet day, I sat out in the garden for a few hours but unfortunately no one came about. I even investigated Squirrel Tree hoping maybe to bump into Craig but he must have been out shopping for food or something as it was as quiet as a mouse.

At least no further sightings of Flash which is a good thing although from what I've heard he's a slippery customer that one and never to be trusted.

I'm thinking maybe I should set some sort of a trap for him, corner and then question him, although I think I need some help, he's a lot bigger than me and a lot more experienced when it comes to deviousness!

In The Nick Of Time!

I decided to take things into my own hands and having been having a snoop outside.

It's a beautiful day, cold but sunny, perfect weather for searching for clues. I went up over the back of the sunshine shed, very aptly titled, and over into the gardens at the back of the house to see if there was any sign of night visits from Foxy Lectar.

I didn't see anything of interest so had a bit of a wander a little further a-field that I usually go, hoping to at least come across another cat, any other cat, t see what they knew but everyone seems to be inside, probably asleep.

I was a couple of hours down when all of a sudden I heard River barking her head off and ran back home as quickly as I could in case she needed my protection.

I'm glad I did as when I got there I could see her standing at the back of the garden shouting away and a small movement coming from the direction of Squirrel Tree. I don't know what it was but from the noise she's making I have a fair suspicion.

I think I got back in the nick of time!

My Christmas Day by David-Shiro, Ninja Cat

So Christmas Day arrived, s nice quiet start to the day, waking up at my own leasure, a quick stroke from Daddy before he went in the bath.

It gave me a chance to walk around getting used to the day, a quick trip out the back and I said Happy Christmas to Craig the Squirrel before popping back in to find both Daddies up, River waiting impatiently by the presents.

I took a quick peep but I couldn't guess.

Having a look out the window to see if anyone was around and I spotted George having a bathe under his car.

We waved and mouthed Happy Christmas and blew each other a kiss.

I searched the floor for stray Dreamies but didn't come across any before joining River for a chat, I must admit I wasn't really listening I was too busy trying to work out what my presents were.

No luck I decided to move on after giving thought to making a call but then realised I didn't know anyone's number so would be a bit of a waste.

I went for a lay down but as woken up by the sound of the Daddydaddy and Daddymummy come in, so thought I'd pop down, wish then good tidings, only to find a pile of presents for me,
A feathery thing on a string, genious!

Owww!

River just had to see this. She loved it and we played with it together for ages.

We then had a little dance together, she's quiet a mover!

And then Daddy said we could both have some of our Christmas treats, a great big handful we had with promises of many more to come throughout the day. I expect nothing less today.
Then there as a knock on the door, I went out the back to see if they'd started dinner yet, which they hadn't, and returned to find some more gifts from Mogsie, Twizzle and George's mummy brought for us.
Wow thank you, a mousy thing.

Eventually they started dinner, I was starving and tried sending them on a guilt trip to get it done as quickly as possible. They took their time but it was worth it in the end.
Boy I'd eaten so much turkey that all I could do was take a nap, a nice long nap!

And a bit of a feed before another nice long nap in the quiet, up the stairs.

Happy Christmas everyone. Love David-Shiro, Ninja Cat!

Hiding Something He Was

What wow a windy day it is today, too windy I would have thought for any of us to be outside but we are.
I saw Craig digging around in the back garden, hiding something he was and when I saw River out there sniffing around just near where he was I thought it best to go and investigate.
Everything was OK though she hadn't found anything and as it's so cold and windy I left her too it, much to her surprise.

I'm concerned as Daddy does love to scattered monkey nuts around the garden for the squirrels and River being River, well she's bound to try them out and those's nuts have a very hard and crispy shell and I really don't want to be doing the hendrick manoeuvre her, not this early in the day.

The Element Of Surprise

What a glorious evening it is today, the clouds have gone away just in time to enjoy a beautiful sunset, perfect for cat spotting,

I'm sure I saw Ginger Cat running through Squirrel Tree earlier. I really need to speak to him and this spot is perfect, if he was going that way earlier, he'll have to come back this way to go home and I'm partially hidden by Daddies new fence, so I have the element of surprise!

Wish Me Luck

"But if Greego wanted us to meet why didn't he just say, and why lie to me about losing something?" I was actually quiet hurt, being lied to by someone who, ok wasn't exactly a friend but well he was something to me.

"There's one thing I can tell you Pixie's don't lie" The Wiseman sounded very serious, "They can't!"

"What they can't lie at all?"

"No, not at all, although as you've learnt they can talk in riddles."

No wasn't that the truth. "So he has lost something, that he can't remember what in some wood that he can't remember where after all?"

"Oh yes, if he lied to you he would simple have vanished into thin air, gone forever so that much is true."

"That's why I came here to ask for your help and no I'm more confused than ever and I'll be leaving here tonight with more questions than answers."

"I think you have some of those answers David-Shiro, it's just that at that moment you can't hear them. Listen! Always listen and observe and they will eventually come, the best answers are those we earn ourselves. People value what they earn, always remember that."

"So why do you think he wanted us to meet then Wiseman?"

"That is not for me to say, that is for you to earn, but I'm sure earn it you will."

I turned to Craig for help, his head was down a little noise was coming from his nose. He'd fallen asleep. It had been a long night, I could hear the Wood Pigeons beginning to sing, the birds were starting their mornings song. It suddenly dawned on me everyone would be up soon and me not waiting at the bedroom door for River and my Daddies would be noticed and I didn't want to be caught outside.

"But what am I to do about finding Greego's missing thing?" I was beginning to panic, I;d spent the whole night and not achieved what I'd set out to do.

"What is a wood David-Shiro?"

"It's a place full of tree's" I replied, time was running out and I wasn't thinking about my answers, "Come on please just tell me where to look." I begged.

"Up!" He replied.

I looked up, all I could see was the birds in the tree's harmonising.

"Listen!" The Wiseman said "Listen!"

I listen, yes all I could hear was the birds in the tree's. THE TREE'S!

"Is this a wood?" My heart began to race "Is this THE wood?"

I'm sure I saw The Wiseman smile again but no noise came out of his mouth.

I looked around, if this was THE wood, maybe what I was searching for was here, somewhere lying around me in the Peace Garden. Some twigs, no that couldn't be it, a few leaves, a bit of paper that had blown from over the wall. No, that couldn't be it. Come on David, think what was out of the ordinary.

"Craig! CRAIG!" I shouted "Wake up, help me look." Craig shook his head.

"What is it?"

"Help me look, look for something out of the ordinary, you know this place better than I do, you live here, what's out of place?"

Craig started to scan the Peace Garden, sleep still in his eyes.

"I don't know."

Then all of a sudden it hit me, the only thing I could think of and I reached over to where Craig was sitting and snatched up the piece of yellow cloth that he'd moved earlier as he dug up his monkey nut.

"This will have to do. I hope I'm right. Thank you" I called over my shoulder to Craig and The Wiseman as I ran back towards the house.

"Wish me luck!"

Yes Lil' Cat, Sorry David-Shiro

No it couldn't be. I turned to Craig, he must have known what I was thinking, he nodded and smiled.

"The Wiseman will help you, he helps everyone."

"What! I don't know what you are talking about, you point to this old statue and say he is here to help me but his mouth isn't moving when I hear the voice."

Again that voice "And never will you see my lips move, but don't be mistaken for I am here, yo hear me in my head, it's the way I communicate, always has been, always will."

This was weird, it didn't sound like the voice was in my head, it sounded like it was coming from someone right next to me, I watched The Wiseman closely, nothing, as still as the stone he was.

"Most disbelieve the first time we speak, but somehow they come back time and again." The voice was peppered with a smile. I didn't know what to say.

"Now how can I help you? Some come just to sit, most come with something on their mind."

"What do I do?"  I turned to Craig.

"Just relax and speak, out loud if it help you but you can do it in your head too, wither way he'll hear you."

I took a deep breath, this was madness but hey I'm still young and learning about the world, maybe this was normal after all?

"I need to find something that's lost, but I don't know what, in a wood, but I don't know which one."

All was silent, no answer. I turned to Craig. who was scratching around in the ground, before opening a little piece of yellow cloth he'd dug up and unwrapping a monkey nut.

"I can't hear anything."

Craig looked up from the monkey nut he was de-shelling.

"Don't worry he would have heard."

Another minute passed with everyone still sitting in silence, eventually The Wiseman's voice spoke to me;

"It appears a mystery in riddles and yet somehow I don't think that is your way, no wonder you are confused Lil' Cat! Do you seek answers for yourself Lil' Cat or do you seek them for another, that is the question!"

I was getting rather impatient.

"Would you please call me by my name David-Shiro or David whatever you prefer, everyone keeps calling me a little cat and I know I am but I don't need reminding of it!"

"As you wish, but are you sure, a reason and a rhythm in every riddle?"

"Oh you are as confusing as Greego The Pixie is!" If I was of the type I would have stamped my foot.

The Wiseman's voice smiled at me, "So you've got yourself mixed up with Greego have you. No wonder you are confused, clever Pixie."

What! I squinted trying to work out what he was talking about.

"What do you mean clever Pixie, he can't have been that clever to have lost something and not know what it was or where it was?"

Craig looked shocked at the way I was speaking to The Wiseman and slightly shook his head and lowered his head as if to say don't.

"Something you will come to learn about Pixie's, they may talk in riddles but they are some of the cleverest creatures in all the land and no more so than Greego. He knew exactly what he was doing, a Pixie always does!"

"I don't understand?" I turned to face Craig and then back to The Wiseman.

"Think about it David-Shiro, a fine name by the way, very apt considering what's ahead of you. Go on really think about it, Greego knew exactly what he was doing when he set you this task."

"But I don't understand he said he lost something in a wood but he couldn't remember what was lost or in what wood."

"And then what did you do?"

"I told George about it."

"Yes, and then what?"

"And George told Craig."

"Um, go on." The Wisemans voice had softened to almost a hum.

"And Craig said he would help me search."

"Yes."

"And he brought me here to you."

"Exactly!"

I sat there still not understanding. The Wiseman must have realised.

"What is Greego, apart from being a very clever Pixie. Listen to what you know?"

I sat and thought for a while as Craig continued munching on his nut.

"He's a riddle maker?" I hesitantly answered.

"Exactly!" The Wiseman replied, "And what is a riddle?"

"Confusing, that's for sure."

The Wiseman laughed, "Yes it is, that is very true."

I felt more comfortable after hearing his laugh. "Well a riddle is saying something, giving an answer without giving it. Am I right?"

"Yes Lil' Cat, sorry David-Shiro. I think you are very right. So let me pose this question to you. If Greego hadn't set you a riddle, where would you be right now?"

"Oh that would be easy, I'd be tucked up in bed on my warm blanket."

"So you wouldn't be...?"

"I wouldn't be here." Hang on something within my catty powers spoke to me.

"You mean Greego wanted me to be here?"

The Wiseman's voice relaxed even more, "A fine answer David-Shiro, a fine answer indeed."

"Greego wanted us to meet?" The penny was dropping "And so he set this whole thing up?" I was confused as to why he wanted to do that and angry at being played.

I knew it couldn't be The Wiseman was made of stone but just for a second, maybe a millisecond it appeared that he nodded before he voice rang out in my head.

"Now the next question I would be asking myself in such a position is why?"

Listen!

I'm exhausted, it's been a busy night I've not been to sleep yet but I'm enjoying having a little lay down in the sun shining through the window, thoughts of a very strange night and morning going through my mind.

It turns out there's an advantage to being naughty and waking everyone up at 4am and being shut out of the bedroom at night, I have free reign of the house at night.

Usual time everyone went to bed, kisses and strokes a-plenty and then all alone. I nervously approached the backdoor flap not knowing for sure if I'd be able to get out or not, Daddy usually locks it after 9 to make sure River doesn't run out and start barking.

I tapped the flap, it was locked as usual but I could see it wasn't full blocked, if I knocked it hard enough I was pretty sure I could bypass the blocking thing. I tapped it, yes it moved slightly but not enough. I needed more force behind it but I didn't want to wake anyone up, Daddy is a light sleeper.

Again I knocked it, no movement.

I could see Craig burying something in the lawn, he was true to his word, waiting as he said, to help me. The knocking hadn't caught his attention so I guess I wasn't making too much of a noise so I knocked the flap again, this time with all my might. A loud crack n the flap made me jump and run back into the kitchen, I'd scared myself, I'd made such a noise. Had I woken anyone?

I waited a minute or so, no noise coming from upstairs, I was OK no one was awake, and then I gingerly approached the flap and gave it a slight tap with my paw, it swung open.

Phew I'd done it, as quick as a flash I was out and into the garden. It was very windy out, it had been all day and it had still not settled down as night had fallen.

Craig was looking my way and I ran over to him, it was night and night does not scare me.

"Hello." I was nervous and excited and so glad to see Craig.

"Hang on a second." Craig flicked a little bit of dirt with his paw, "Just covering my tracks, I don't want that Fox finding my stash of monkey nuts. Right you ready then?"

Oh I was ready alright a cocktail of strange emotions playing havoc in my stomach, no idea what the night would bring,

"What direction are we heading in?" I'd never been out of the garden before, apart from when my Daddies first brought me here.

"Not far, follow me." And Craig was off, jumping his way up towards the back of the garden.

With not a moment to lose I chased after him, if we were going over the wall I didn't want to lose sight of him for even a second.

Craig stopped in the Peace Garden, not my favourite place in the world, and turned to face me not saying a word. I waited for him to jump up on top of the wall by the Swinging Heart of Love but he just stayed there.

Maybe he was catching his breath, all that jumping must have tired him out? We just stayed still in silence, in the end it got too much, it was so windy and I'm sure I could feel rain in the air so I was keen to get on.

"What are you waiting for?" I eventually asked.

"Shhh!" he said, "Listen!"

"Listen for what?" I was very confused.

A deep voice behind me began to speak. "If one listens to oneself, one can hear all manner of things."

I nearly jumped out of my fur. Looking around I couldn't see anyone. I turned to face Craig who was smiling at me, not in the slightest bit afraid.

"Who are you?" My head turned left, to right and back again, again I saw no one.

"Who are you?" I repeated the question.

"Fear not my little friend, for I am here to help you to help yourself. To help you to see yourself!"

Again I scanned the Peace Garden, I could see no one.

"Don't worry," Craig moved closer, "I've brought you to see a friend, a friend who can help you more than anyone else can, there's nothing to fear."

Craig moved away from the back wall, passed the Easter Island Head and pointed towards the old Chinese statue.

"Hello, little one." Again that deep voice all around me, "I am The Wiseman, at your service!"

Craig Prince Of The Squirrels

"The word on the street is you need some help, let me introduce myself, I'm Craig Prince of the Squirrels "

So began one of the strangest encounters I've ever had, well apart from that with Greego The Pixie, of course.

I'd spent the morning going in and out of the back door flap, getting used to the noise and movement of the swinging. I'm getting very adept t it, I even heard the Daddies talking about it last night and how proud they were of me.

So there I was just going in and out and when all of a sudden I saw some movement on the fence, a little skittering about before a little head popped up, followed by a furry little body, nut in hand before being popped into a very chewy mouth.

I stood there staring, I've never seen such a thing before. Dogs au-fait with them, cats oh yes and birds tick but what this little creature was I had no idea. He was fascinating to watch even though to begin with I felt very scared and nearly ran back off inside.

Out came those words, as soon as he'd finished his mouth of food.

"Hello." I said, a bit stunned to be honest.

"Hello." He replied, "So is it true, what I hear?"

"Er what to do you mean?" I could do with some help true but I wasn't sure what sort of help was being offered.

"George said he'd heard that you need some help with something to do with a wood and something that was missing that you needed to find." He puffed out his chest and smiled, "I'm your man, woods are my domain."

He nodded towards a tree at the back of the garden. "That's where I live, up that tree, climbing tree's my speciality so if there's something you need help with that's to do with tree's...well I think I'm the one to be able to help you. Nothing I like more than solving a good mystery."

Stunned seemed to be the word for me today.

"You know George?" I didn't know where to begin.

"Do I know George!" Craig smiled, "Oh yes, George and I are very good friends, The Squirrels of Squirrel Tree and the cats of Catworld are very old and very good friends. I was particularly friendly with Lil' who used to live where you do now, so yes in answer to your question we're very good friends." Craig winked and smiled, scratched his ear and shifted his weight from his left to right foot.

This place never fails to amaze me, you never know what's going to happen from one day to the next.

"Yes all that's true, Greego The Pixie..."

Craig interrupted me "Greego The Pixie, this is something to do with Greego The Pixie?" He appeared shocked.

"Yes." I nodded back.

"Oh well you really need my help then, I've heard about this in the nick of time!"

My heart danced in my mouth, doing a rumba down my back. "Why?"

"Oh little friend of mine, Greego The Pixie is a tricky minx, you should always be careful where he's concerned, have you not heard his history?"

Well no I hadn't. "What do you mean history?"

Craig smiled and nodded, "Of course not why would he tell you."

I was beginning to panic what had I got myself into?

"Greego The Pixie was expelled, by the Grand Order of The Pixals, the highest authority in Pixie World, dropped off her the Fairies of Fairyville a couple of years back. I thought he'd been quiet, I was expecting trouble but he just seemed to go to ground, I thought he must have moved on."

"No, he's living in the secret room indoors, upstairs. I went in there one day and he said he's been waiting for me and said I needed to go and find something he'd lost in some wood somewhere."

"Um" Craig nodded his head up and down slowly. "And did you agree to help him?"

I nodded "Yes."

"Oh dear, you've made a pact with a Pixie and you'll have to follow through with it no matter what, you can't break a Pixie agreement you'll have them all on you if you do, expelled or not and you don't want that, most are good a few well let's not go there."

I felt sick, Craig must have picked it up too.

"Don't worry though, I'm here to help, I've had dealings with that little minx before, talks in riddles you know."

"Oh yes I know that alright!"

"Right so something he knows not what is lost in some wood he knows not where. Is that correct?"

I nodded again.

"Well it's a start I suppose, meet me out here tonight after everyone's gone to bed and we'll go looking, can't be too difficult."

"What? I find that very difficult." What on earth was Craig talking about.

Craig looked at me smiled and pointed his finger at me. "You're a cat and the one thing cats have in abundance is catty powers, listen to those and we shouldn't be in too much trouble, and you're double lucky."

My ears pricked up.

"What do you mean I'm double lucky?"

"You're a black cat little friend, and black cats well you know the tales of them, they are lucky, they are Witches Familiars!"

SHE'S BACK! Our Queen She's Back!

SHE'S BACK! Our Queen she's back!

It's been a very quiet day here in Catworld, a very quiet and very hot one, everyone has been hiding away in the coldest place they can, it's been the hottest day of the year. It doesn't, of course, bother me another weird advantage to my new state of being and one totally never thought about till now. Anyway as I say it's been very quiet and I've been sitting under Squirrel tree keeping watch on the Easter Island Head waiting for him to make a noise while watching the odd bird fly by, all in all a very pleasant if very quiet day.

Disappears daddy came home early and they went out somewhere with River so I didn't even have them to think about and as George now seems to be out his possession I was totally free to focus all my attention, but silence, until just as it started to turn dark.

I had just been thinking about the colour of the downstairs bathroom that the Daddies have redecorated when;

HELP ME, HELP ME, HELP ME!

Three times that familiar voice from the Lane of Bells called out to me.

I'm here to help you my Queen, I replied as loud as I could

Help Me!

The voice was fading and I began to panic, I didn't want to lose her I'd had great anguish about leaving the Lane of Bells without trying to see who was calling out for my help then and I felt responsible in helping her now that I'd been given a second chance.

Don't go my Queen, don't go, I called out not knowing if she could hear me or not.

I thought I heard something soft respond but the wind was picking up and I was having trouble hearing without the distraction of the leaves and branches rustling. I looked around to see if anyone else was around that could help me but still no cats, the sky was black and heavy, funny I didn't see that happen, no time to think, what should I do? My catty powers had kicked in, three times, three times she called out and three times Troy foretold we would be asked this time was important.

Panic, panic, guilt, guilt

I'M SORRY MY QUEEN! I'm sorry I left you behind, I blurted out

The wind was now a gale and the branches were wildly whipping around

You free me! The voice was strong and getting louder

At that second the sky erupted in a serious of electric yellow flashes like fingers spreading throughout the illuminated purple horizon and a roar louder than I'd ever heard before raced across the sky, chasing the light.

I'm coming, I'm coming, I'm coming back!

She's back, our Queen, the Queen of Catkind returns!

Digging In And Digging Up

Mogsie is not happy with Sarah.

It's been another day where the sun is shining and everyone is trying their best to get some respite from the heat, laying around in the shade and finding the odd bit of cold floor to sit on to cool their hot little bodies. I've been sitting out the back and even though I don't have to find the shade anymore I must admit to enjoying sitting here under Squirrel Tree watching Craig go about his nut collecting business as I wait for LUM to speak.

Even though us cats and squirrels do get on, and always have, I never just sat and watched them, busy little animals that they are, running around, digging in and digging up full of boundless energy.

Anyway I decided to stretch my legs and came inside, that's when I spotted the lighter Naughty Twin, Sarah and Mogsie on the other side of the road and Mogsie is clearly not happy with Sarah, with them both sitting with their backs towards each other. I'm guessing it's because she's now seeing Chameleon but you can't dictate who someone can date even if you think they are trouble and let's be honest we did invite him in when we asked him to help us.

I knew we were opening a can of worms there but what else could we have done?

Have You Not Thought, Why Is That?

What a day it's turning out to be, Doublay has just called by and posed a very important question to me.

The lighter Naughty Twin is still keeping watch from the safety of Squirrel Tree and so I've been enjoying some much needed time indoors just hanging out with everyone when I spotted him settling himself down on the grass out front.

He asked how I was after everything that had been happening and I said I was much better now, especially now that everyone appeared to be able to communicate with me again like they used to.

Yes, he said, strange that how all of a sudden everyone can see you. Have you not thought Lil' why is that?
