The Night Of The Black Cats

I woke up to a big surprise this morning.

I was just getting myself roused when Daddy came down the stairs and gave me a great big hug. Today was my birthday he said, the one we celebrate the day we all became family. Today I'm 5 years old.

It's an easy day to remember I guess it's Halloween night, the night of the black cats.





I could tell it was my birthday, I got treats for breakfast and I'm never allowed them before the evening.

The day was my own and I didn't have the foggiest what I was gonna do but it was my choice.

River decided she was gonna give me a birthday bath, that was nice.

And some cat yoga was definitely on the menu.

But all I really want to do on days like these is cuddle up with my family, and feel the love.
