I've Just Received A Very Important Communication From Mogsie

I've just received a very important communication from Mogsie.

Hi David.

Sorry that I didn't have time to stop and chat the other day but I was on a mission.   

I was just checking our territory was safe before I had to get home to look after Twizzle.   She's been very poorly and our Mum and Dad were really worried about her.   She had a terribly runny eye and then she stopped eating and just slept all day and night.   

Anyway, she went to see the Doctor and she had a really high temperature and was dehydrated.   He injected saline under her skin and also anti-biotics and pain relief and she had to go back the following day.   He wanted to have a look at her teeth because he thought that she might have toothache but she wouldn't open her mouth.   Anyway, when she went back the following day she did let him have a peep in her mouth and he said that she would have to see the Dentist because she needed some teeth out.

Well, she was really frightened and I tried to keep her spirits up which is why you haven't seen me about much even though the weather has been nice.

David, let your Daddies clean your teeth and keep them healthy!   On Friday she had to have three teeth out but the Dentist said that she had been very brave.   I thought that when she got home she would be very sleepy but she was tearing about like a blue-arsed fly and she told me that they had been hurting a lot and she feels so much better now.   

She has to have medicine three times a day and as she spits tablets out it's in liquid form. She's got our Mum on a piece of string as she'll only take it when it's got squirt cream on it and she has to keep reminding our Mum when it's time to give it to her.  Uh uh it's time!   Hope that I don't get taken to the Dentist, I might be very big but I'm not very brave!  

Now that she's getting better I'll be able to get out a bit more and come and see you so we can have a real good catch-up.

Hi Mogsie,

Oh no that's terrible to hear but I'm glad Twizzle is feeling better now, I've heard (often) from my daddies that it's so important to keep your teeth clean and free of anything that could cause problems.

Daddy is a bit of a stickler for our teeth. Last year when I went for my check up they said the gum on one side of my mouth was a little red and he needed to watch out for it. They brought a toothbrush and paste but I hated the taste even though it was supposed to taste of meat, pink meat, yeah not a fan. They did however discover something that I think you should tell your mum about. They are called Dentabites, you can get them in the supermarket.

They've been giving me some every day in the morning, with my dinner and then as a late night snack, they taste really good, they’ve replaced Dreamies for me, daddy said I was getting addicted to them.

Anyway I had my yearly check up about a month ago and ta dah no problems my gums are all back to normal and my teeth are sparkling, daddy clapped his hands when he heard so I guess they work.

Twizzle is such a pretty girl she can pull off any look even a slightly gappy grin. Please give her my love and get your mummy and daddy to give them a go.

Yes he's preparing for a full decoration jobby, I should have guessed when he got the paint brush out a couple of weeks ago. Of course it wouldn't stop at that!

Eurovision

Well the grandparents have turned up and my daddies have just been talking about Eurovision so I guess it's time for me to do a disappearing act, I can't be doing with that on top of the week I've had.

The New Members Of The Street

It's true the sun brings everyone out.

Not only did I get to have a brief chat with Mogsie earlier, well more of a nod of the head to each other when he popped over this afternoon to wind River up by walking up and down the back fence but I also saw one of the new cats from over the road having a venture out the front.

I hope the weather continues I wouldn't mind getting to know the new members of the street.

3 Minutes, Yes 3 Minutes That's All It Took

It's Daddies birthday today and in this house we believe in starting things as soon as. 

3 minutes, yes 3 minutes that's all it took. 12.03 and Daddy had managed to wangle his presents from Daddy. Not bad going even for his standards.

I crept in to their bedroom this morning when Daddy went to the bathroom. We all cuddled up on the bed. Daddy was sleeping and my other one was cuddling River in  so I settled on his back and we all fell back asleep.

But today was not a day to lay about, plans were happening and the Daddydaddy and Daddymummy both arrived and my daddies went out for the day. A spa apparently, crap food tasted of nothing nothing at all apparently that's so called healthy eating for you when the best they have to offer is a microwaved egg.

We heard all about it when they returned and gave us the low down as we settled for the evening. Still a day out I suppose.

I've Just Been To The Doctors

I've just been to the Doctors. I don't mind actually being there it's the cage they put me n to get there that bothers me.

And  it doesn't matter how many Dreamies are forced through the bars it doesn't lessen the blow.

Although today it was for a check up and yearly injections to make sure I don't get ill but there was some extra special news.

I've put on 400 grams in a year, that'll be because I can actually eat my dinner now without River pushing me out of the way for a taster.

AND my gums are exactly where they should be again. They were a little bit red one side last year but I guess all the special food and attempts at brushing my teeth have paid off.

I Knew Then That Was Exactly What Was Going To Happen

No matter how much they tell you not to worry it's so hard.

I overheard our daddies talking this morning, River had to go to the doctors she had a bump on her tail and they needed to do some tests on her.

I gathered from what they were saying that she would be home early this afternoon,Daddy was going to collect her in case they needed to put her under tosleep while they did what they needed to do. Of course I knew then that was exactly what was going to happen and of course it did.

It was such a relief when she came in, off here nut sleepy but when our other Daddy came in it was confirmed there's nothing to worry about from the bump on her tail she's going to be just fine, that's when I could relax and that's when the devilment woke up.

I wonder what fun I can have with this situation?

He Was Very Sure Of Himself

I've been keeping my eyes very pealed today. Pealed so I can spot the moments of the audacious cat Magnus. 

There more I've thought about it the more I'm shocked at his behaviour. He wasn't trying to bully like Flash and Foxy did but he was very sure of himself. 

A little bit too much me thinks.

People Watching

What a beautiful day I woke up to today, perfect for people watching

And dog watching with a very close eye, I can tell that look in her face and the laze start I was enjoying would be a short lived affair if I stuck around so I decided to take myself of out into the garden to see if Sofia was around again today. 

But she wasn't so I crept back in and had a lovely sleep on the sofa.

Lovely sleep until little legs and hands decided it was time to wake up. Oh well she could do with a clean I suppose, no point in sleeping away the whole day best get on with the housework.

A Bit Of A Chin-Wag

Another day and more sun,I don't know what's going on with the weather at the moment but I'm not complaining it makes my adventures outside even more enjoyable than usual.

I'm not the only one River was loving sunbathing...

...she looked so happy I decided to pop over and have a bit of a chin-wag.

But I wasn't there long I heard a faint voice calling me.

Running towards where the sound was coming form I found Sofia hiding under Daddies car. I was so excited to see her it had been ages. I cautiously approached and nodded a hello, I think the smile on my face may have given more away than I was intending but I couldn't help myself.

I decided to pump up my confidence balloon and sat down next to her, cheekily I winked, she smiled back.

I asked her where she had been, she explained she'd been keeping a low profile, letting the dust properly settle since all the business last year with Flash, but since the sun was out and it had been months she thought she'd drop by to see how I was.

She didn't say it but I think she had missed me. We talked for about an hour before a drift of rain started to come down and we just sat and watched the sun fight it out with the grey clouds. After a while the rain stopped and Sofia turned to me and said she had better get off, it was nearing her dinner time and she had been promised chicken tonight.

We said goodbye, I nearly leaned in for a kiss but didn't want to face a knock back in case I'd misread the situation, we had been here after all before.

Looking t her walking off I felt happy but a little kicking myself for not at least offering a kiss on the cheek but my heart settled and I felt things were going to work out just right, there right in front of me in the direction Sofia was going a rainbow sent from the universe to let me know, whatever everything was going to be OK.

Wouldn't you know it, just like buses, don't see anyone for ages then 2 come along at once. Twizzle's taking her evening walk, it's so nice to see her Spring really is bringing everyone out of hibernation.
