This Time Of Year

I love this time of year. A lot of people love Summer, I know the Daddies do and Stay Daddy loves Winter, well the snow part of Winter he loves. Me I can't stand it stuck indoors most of the day, way too cold for me to go out although I think River takes after Stay Daddy in loving the snow looking back on how wild she went in it last year.

I see I'm not the only one enjoying the Autumnal sun and the beautiful colours of the bushes out the back. The darker Naughty Twin is really drinking in the wonder of C's garden which I think the Daddies are a little envious of as they are always commenting on how lovely it looks. I think I shall go and join her.

Much Noise And Consternation

Much noise and consternation downstairs since Daddies gone down so I decided to stay right out of it up here in the office.

It's such a vantage point I get to see everything and very rarely am I spotted. I wanted to see if Emma carried on with her playing but not long after I went up there she went around the back. I did however see Sarah and George cosying up a bit, not sure that Twizzle is that impressed!

Avoiding Awkward Questions

Oops was a little bit caught out dancing earlier when Daddy and River came down so I ran upstairs to avoid any awkward questions or mickey taking and that's when I noticed Sarah and Emma.

It's been raining here for what seems like days and as ever when there's rain there's nair a cat to be seen but now it's stopped they are beginning to venture out again which I am so grateful for, I think I've been going a little stir crazy stuck inside.

Anyway I actually saw those two playing together, only for a minute or two, running and jumping over R's car and then the fence. Cats playing in the street is nothing unusual but Emma playing, well that is something to be celebrated. She's been such a loner for so long and really is a lovely little thing that it fair joyed my heart to see her loosen up a bit even if it was just for a short time. They've both settled down again now but fingers crossed maybe she's on the road back to us all, I guess only time will tell.

Sexy And I Know It

Ah the joy of having the downstairs all to myself. I can do exactly what I want, just like the old days and even better Daddies left the radio on.

Brave Cat

Daddy has just told me the most extraordinary story. He's been upstairs all day with River, yes River was allowed in the office all day. I think it was because she was bugging me this morning and I didn't fancy going up in the office so he took her there.

Even though I didn't want to go in I wasn't too sure how I felt about River taking me spot but I guess as long as it's not an everyday occurrence I can live with it.

Anyway when he came down I think he wanted to make it up to me and so he told me a story that he'd read today. There was this cat called Hades and his family was invaded me a very dangerous spider. What did that brave cat do, well he only took it on to protect his family. He did get bit which wasn't a great state of affairs and he was very ill for two days until he got all better. Daddy showed me a picture of him, must say not too different looking from me, maybe he's a distant relation?

Thank goodness he's OK and I've never heard of a cat being attacked by a spider before but as for the bravery of a cat, that doesn't surprise me, it's amazing what we are capable of when cornered!

Quiet Frankly My Dears, She Didn't Give A Damn

Daddy was keeping River occupied this afternoon which I was quiet pleased about. I was not in a happy mood at all, I've run out of Dreamies and I'm not best pleased. 

Then there was a knock at the door and the Daddymummy was here arms full of things and River spinning on the door with glee. 

She got a couple of belated birthday presents, nice coat, very Scarlett O'Hara

I tend to keep a low profile when we have guests that way I can absorb everything and get a bit of a break from being centre of attention. It also means I get to sneak in the kitchen un-noticed and have first pick of the fish bits plate Daddy always saves for us.

It was when I was out there that I saw the Daddymummy had also brought me two packets of Dreamies, result! Cheers lovely lady.

When I returned to join everyone else I could see River was doing her best feel for me routine to try and get some of the Daddymummies pie even though she knows she's not allowed them.

But quiet frankly my dears, she didn't give a damn!

Very Agreeable

 What a lovely surprise! I was just hanging out with River in the living room, then Daddy came down.

Come on everyone, he called out, it's time for lunch.

Umm Goat Milk, don't mind if I do even though I don't know what I've done to be given this treat. I love Goats Milk, so much better for you apparently than Cow's Milk, although it can be an acquired taste, tastes the same to me.

I'm not the only one's who's loving it either.

Waiting For The Fireworks To Start

So it's that time of year again and as Daddy is ill at the moment, I've taken control of teaching duties. It's Rivers first Bonfire Night with us and I thought it only appropriate for me to educate River to the history of the day.

Of courses it's a little like talking to a brick wall at times, she just wanted to chase me not learn all the interesting history associated with today and Guy Fawkes and all that.

Still I did manage to get her in position in the front window waiting for the fireworks to start.

Ooh A Gentleman Caller

It's a beautiful morning here in Catworld, the sun is shining, the windows are open and I'm enjoying the calm atmosphere in the window and watching Daddy untangle Notty Nora over there.

It is funny how she manages to get herself so tangled so quickly, but she does love it and I love watching her she always giggles which is very infectious.

Anyway I was just up there watching River when I heard a throat being cleared from behind me, turning I saw Mogsie walking across C's grass towards me, ooh a gentleman caller.

I can't help myself no matter what's happened between us he always brings a smile to me face. He didn't stop long but he did smile back asked if I was enjoying the weather, of course I replied it was lovely and then said he'd catch me later. I watched him walk off and caught him looking back. I guess we'll have to see what happens.

I'm Not The Only One Who Thinks So

George is really pushing his luck with Mogsie and I'm not the only one who thinks so.

Mogsie was out enjoying the break in the rainy weather minding his own business but unknown to him George was hiding under R's car giving him filthy looks.

George must have said something to the lighter Naughty Twin who, sitting in one of her favourite positions on top of the car threw a look to Mogsie who had his back to them and couldn't see them, that said oh dear there's gonna be trouble.

George came out from underneath the car as if to approach him from behind. Mogsie totally unaware of all the drama must have seen a fly or something as he went off chasing it watched by Twizzle who also at that point saw George and by the look on her face wanted nothing to do with the situation.

George had better watch out, I know these two have a history but I know who I was be backing in a fight and it ain't George!

Practising His High-Kicks

Finally I managed to catch hold of Mogsie, I've been dying to speak to him all day after his spat this morning with George.

He was sitting under his tree, yeah never really thought the lighter Naughty Twin would have a chance of claiming that for herself, practising his high-kicks. Daddy has gone downstairs now but not closed the office window yet so I called over to him to ask him how he was and was everything OK after this mornings little escapade?

He heard me and turned to face me but didn't say anything. I then asked him straight out what his fight with George was all about.

What do you think, was his replied, tone laced with sarcasm.

Now I don't like to be presumptuous but catty powers never let you down, I knew. They'd been fighting over me!

Here We Go Again - Blissfully Unaware

Daddy is just wrapping up for the day and opened the office door so I could go in and have a look out for Mogsie, I've been looking out the back but he's not been over that way that I've seen today.

I didn't see Mogsie but I did spot Spit walking up Tiny's pathway and the lighter Naughty Twin walking towards him before they both went off around the back of E's.

Here we go again, I can guess what's coming, it doesn't take a genius to work it out.

I must admit to feeling sorry for Sarah though sitting blissfully unaware under R's car. The cats around here do love a love triangle.

A Tremendous Fight

I've just seen a tremendous fight between Mogsie and George that took them all over the lawn, M had to come outside in the rain to break it up. I tried to get Daddies attention but he was on the phone so I'm not sure if he saw it as he would have been straight out there, he hates fighting.

When will they learn fighting never leads to a solution but I must admit to being curious as to what it was over, I must try to catch one of them later if of course this rain ever stops.

I Didn't Believe Him

Daddy said one day we would cuddle up with each other, I didn't believe him shows how I wrong I was. Just wish she'd be a little quieter.

Rub The Lucky Cat

Finally the office is mine to do as I wished in, I did go in there earlier but Daddy was busy and when I jumped on the table for some attention he said I had to go out. Tut!

Still it's all mine now and when I was up there having another look at the Little Lemon Tree I spotted Mogsie hiding himself under R's car. What am I to do with him I wish I could make a clear decision and stick with it but hey emotions are involved so confusion says hello, it's often the way.

I think I'll take Daddies advice and rub the Lucky Cat maybe it will help me make a decision and stick to it. Actually I think I'll give it another rub for Daddy to help him so he win's the lottery and can play with me and River all day, that way there will never be any problem about him being too busy. Yes that's what I'll do!

He Looked Crest Fallen

So Mogsie has just popped over. I was up with Daddy in the office when I saw him crossing the road and when he got to the end of my pathway he looked directly up here, he must have seen me sitting in the window.

He called up asking if I wanted to come and hang out, a move from him at last but Daddy is working and the office door is closed and there is no way that I'm jumping all the way from up here so I had to say I couldn't at the moment.

He looked crest fallen!
