I've just seen the new cats from over the road have a little venture out. I was just sitting in the window with Daddy, River went to work with our other Daddy today so the place has been pretty quiet, so as I was saying I was just sitting in the window with Daddy when I saw one of them pop their head out.

They quickly put their heads back in again but I guess it can be scary coming out of the front, what with all those cars and everything.

I can't wait to see what happens next, new blood in catworld, perfectly delicious!

What a perfect day it's been today, the suns been out and shining warm.

Today is also Mothers Day. I can't really remember my mum, I came to live here such a time ago that's she's a memory to me now.

I do listen to stories Daddy says about his mum, she lived here a long time ago. Lil' knew her I've heard them saying things about how nanny looked after her when they went on holiday, she was like a second mum to her and I guess I've got my own.

River calls her The Elf, I call her nanny but as I've got to daddies and a mother I can hard;y remember so she'll do, yes she's fits the spot perfectly.

I'm Exhausted

After a really exuberant morning where River decided she wanted to play kiss chase, for hours, I've finally managed to get her to settle down by saying we could cuddle up and try to spot other dogs walking up and down the road.

I just hope my persuasion skills are working I don't know where she gets her energy from, I'm exhausted!

OK I Was A Little Late Putting Our Plan Into Action

I can't believe it River totally let me down.

OK I was a little late putting our plan into action I thought I saw Sofia walking along the back wall and chased out after her. By the time I got to the end of the garden if it was her she was gone so I went on a bit of a wander to see if she was around but no luck.

Anyway then I came in, probably about early afternoon all ready to wind nanny up but when I went up to River to ask her if she was ready she told me she was just too tired, the sun had worn her out.

Marvellous! Oh well I always suppose there's next week

  

We've Been Plotting And Planning

Nanny is coming to babysit River tomorrow and as it's been a bit of a quiet week we thought we'd liven a few things up so have been having a few discussions about how we can keep her on her toes but shhh, we don't want her knowing.

It's Not... - It's Beyond Comprehension

Now don't get me wrong. It's not that I mind River getting the best spot n the lap. 

It's not that when she sleeps her legs kick out and go right into my side and tickle me.

 It's not even that in order to get close to Daddy I'm perched so precariously on the edge I could fall off any moment.

No it's not any of those things but what really gets me is how can so small a dog make such a thunderous noise when she sleeps? It's beyond comprehension!

What A Day It's Been

What a day it's been.

We had some visitors, daddies friends with the lovely little people came to visit. I didn't stick around I like to say a quick hello and then let people get on with it. While they are distracted I can take advantage of River's attention being directed elsewhere.

Today I took the opportunity to go exploring looking for that new cat that I saw the other day. I didn't have much luck, I actually didn't come across anyone to talk to but I did enjoy my stroll in the sun. Spring is certainly on it's way and I can't wait.

Ahh bless River all afternoon she's been in the window looking out for either of our daddies to come home. I felt so sorry for her I decided to keep her some company which turned out beneficial for me I spotted a new cat I've never seen on the other side of the road. I wonder who they are?

Her Shoes

Nanny is looking after us on Thursdays.

It started last week both of our daddies have to be out on Thursday now. I'm not sure what stay daddy is up to but it's going to be a regular thing apparently.

Nothing to worry about though he comes back with a smile on his face and it's not like we're left alone, we get even more attention from nanny than we do from daddy on a normal day and it's turned out that there's an added bonus to her visits. Her shoes!

They are the most brilliant thing to play with, better than any toys I've been brought. I've been at them all day.

So Mission Accomplished!

I decided to stop feeling so sorry for myself and get out and about. If the others aren't going to come to me then I'm going to go searching for them.

I started early, almost as soon as Daddy went out to work with River. My other Daddy was upstairs busy so I knew I wouldn't be missed.

I didn't actually come across anyone but I did feel better getting out and exploring. I went over the back, I;m not too comfortable going across the road yet. I heard Daddy once say Lil' was the same, I wish I'd have met her she seemed like a great girl from what River say and from overhearing my daddies speaking about her.

Maybe it's something about living here why us cats don't like to venture over that way.

Anyway as I said I didn't actually bump into anyone but it definitely lifted my mood, so mission accomplished!

I Really Can't Wait For Spring To Kick In

I'm feeling a little bit sad tonight. 

I don't know why. Maybe it's because I'm just not getting enough cat company. All day I've been out searching for Mogsie or Sofia or anyone to talk to but not the slightest sighting.

I would have thought now the sun is coming out that some one would have been walking around but no. Oh I really can't wait for Spring to really kick in. Still at least I've got River and my daddies to cheer me up.

Well I Wasn't Expecting That!

Well I wasn't expecting that!

The house pretty much all to myself to do what I wanted and I didn't know what to do with myself.

I started off enjoying going wherever I wanted without having to watch for little legs to come a'running. I jumped up on the back of the sofa to have a clean and a look around to see if any of the gang where about, they weren't, before having a little sleep.

When I woke up the first thing I did was go looking for River. It took me a good 2 or 3 minutes before I realised she wasn't here for the day.

I joined Daddy in the window, he was working, and had a look out of the blinds. Deep inside I knew I was watching out for daddy's car to come around the corner with River all happy in the window but they didn't. It was only 3 in the afternoon.

I tried out a bit of cat yoga, always a good use of time, but that only took 10 minutes of the time away.

How time goes slow when you are waiting for something to happen.

I Can Hardly Contain My Excitement

River's going in to work with Daddy today and as exciting as that is for her, all dressed up to the nine's, I think I may be the more excited one. I get to spend the whole day with Daddy indoors.

Now I wonder what we are going to do? It's so rare we get such special alone time together that I can hardly contain my excitement and I know I won't be missing much, River is sure to tell me all about her day the second she gets in.

Spring In The Air

I can hardly believe it's Winter, the sun is shining so bright and for the first time in what seems like months we've not got the heating on.

I can really feel a taste of Spring in the air and me for one cannot wait.

Taking Advantage

While River's out in the garden with Daddy I'm taking advantage of the peace and quiet. I wonder how log it will last though.

Clever Girl Was Having None Of It

It's snowing and Daddy has just tried to get River to run around in the back garden with him. Clever girl was having none of it and I won't be either. 

I don't mind snow but it is freezing out and I'm not the biggest fan of the cold so I shall be firmly implanted here. Until it stops as least.

I'm Feeling Much Better Than Yesterday

I'm feeling much better than yesterday. I think I was having a bit of a slow-in-myself day, I think I let the mood of things affect me.

Don't get me wrong I'm not still back to myself yet but I think I will be soon, it's the Winter vibe affecting things.

It snowed a little today, not more than a wild toss over the shoulder sprinkling of salt amount but enough for me to see it. I went out in it for a minute but the bitter chill soon sent me back inside and up onto the pipes on the landing upstairs where I stayed until just now. We have a visitor and I don;t want to appear rude.

 

I Think It May Be Something To Do With My Breed

I've been feeling a bit down today and have just been keeping myself to myself.

I think it's the Winter thing, you know short days long nights and the cold oh how cold it's getting again. I heard Daddy say there might be a little bit of snow again next week, I'm not the biggest fan although I do love the rain, unusual for a cat. I think it might be something to do with my breed, Evie and I are of the same heritage and when she was a little kitten used to love to swim in the bath, it's not something I've tried out yet but I'm sure I will when the opportunity arises.

Oh how I wish Spring was here but Daddy says we've got another 6 weeks to go, I'm sure my mood will pick up then and maybe a few of my friends will start to make an appearance, I did miss George.

I'm Just Waiting Until He Leaves The Room

I've really managed to get a taste for this coconut oil that Daddy has just fed us. River got it rubbed into her skin as well, to help with her scratchy patches Daddy says.

I'm just waiting until he leaves the room, so I can have a second helping courtesy of River's coat, I'm sure she won't mind she loves a good lick!

He's back in the chair again and I want to be. I've tried walking all over Daddy and that usually get's him off but oh no not today. Today he is firmly entrenched.
