Doublay Needs Our Help, Urgently!

Disappears Daddy has been home all day today, I think he's got a couple of days off because of his birthday and we've all just been relaxing, as it turned out it's been a bit of a blessing.

I was sitting up with Stay Daddy and River in the window watching a pair of the Wood Pigeons having a bit of a kiss, the pair of love birds, when Disappears spotted something out of the window.

Doublay was crossing the road and he looked in a terrible state, his fur all patchy and he does not look well. Either he's been attacked or he's been sleeping rough or he's just very ill.



Stay Daddy ran out to the front door and called out to him while River ran up and down the window ledge barking helping him out.

Stay then ran out to the kitchen while Disappears kept an eye on Doublay and came back in with a plate of meat which he took out to try and tempt Doublay over so he could take a closer look.

Sadly he didn't hear though and carried on walking down the road.

We're all on look out now though in case he turns back up, the plate of meat ready by the front door.

Oh George please come around so I can tell you what's going on, Doublay needs our help, urgently! 

Something I Very Rarely Have - Cat Soup

Everyone's been up very early this morning. I would have thought after Disappears Daddies birthday yesterday that we all would have had a lie-in today but oh no.

Up and out that's them, no idea where they've gone but it did give me the place to myself, something I very rarely have.

After wandering around for a while I decided to venture outside and have a little sit in the Peace Garden, there was a break in the clouds and although the rain no longer bothers me I still prefer to be outside when it's sunny.

As I got half way up the garden I heard the sound of two cats calling out and as I approached Squirrel Tree I could see both the Naughty Twins seeming to have great difficulty in getting past each other. I think they may have been stuck, a right cat soup. 

Well That Wasn't Easy!

Well that wasn't easy. 

George popped over this afternoon, boy was I glad to see him, I was so full of questions but as you know I can only really get a yes/no answer from him at the moment.

First of all I asked him if everyone was OK? He nodded.

Then I forgot for a moment and asked him to tell me what happened the other night. He looked at me less than impressed.

OK, was there a big battle between Catworld and Foxy Lectar? Another nod

What there anyone else involved? Another nod

The New Cat Crew? He nodded.

I was getting good at this and feeling rather pleased with myself.

What's the deal with Doublay? He scratched in the ground a line and then did a loop over it.

I thought for a moment. He jumped sides? He nodded and shrugged all at the same time and pointed to one side of the line. I wasn't sure what he was talking about.

What?

He pointed again with a little bit more force to one side of the line and smiled and then to the other side and scowled and shook his head.

This was very hard.

He pointed again to the first side smiled, pointed at himself and indicated across the whole of Catworld and back at the ground again.

What, was he always on our side. A great big nod and smile came from George, he then pointed over to where Mogsie was sitting looking at George, it must have looked like he was talking to himself, before drawing a light bulb in the ground. 

What it was Mogsie's idea?

He smiled again.

Oh I can't wait for all the details. Come on George we need to get you to the Lane of Bells sooner rather than later, I've so many questions that only you can answer, Doublay, Troy Lamore, Catkind in peril, the battle, round and round and round my heads spinning.

The Deal

Doublay seems troubled today, I've seen him several times pacing back and forth with the look of things on his mind.

He ended up in the Peace Garden just sitting watching the Swinging Heart of Love, I was expecting to see him talking to The Wiseman again but no, he just seemed lost in thought. If George doesn't come around soon I'm going looking for him, I just have to know what went on the other night and what is the deal with Doublay?

Not Sure What Is What

That shed is a hive of activity today, I've now just caught Doublay using it as a bit of a cover for himself.

Now my initial thoughts were ones of suspicion, he confuses me, what side is he on? Who can tell, maybe he's a double agent but it certainly seems like he's in favourite with Catworld at the moment.

Anyway he was hiding up on the shed and when the coast was clear I watched him walk up the back wall and straight over to the Swinging Heart of Love and then started talking to himself.

I looked around to see if there was one around that I couldn't see before realising he was consulting with The Wiseman!

Strange times I find myself living in, not sure what is what anymore!

Buried Treasures

Gasp!

I've just seen something very unusual happen out in the back garden. I was just downstairs listening to Daddy working when I caught sight of Sarah and the Naughty Twins out the back. Nothing too unusual in that until I spotted Sarah climb down and into our garden.

Thank goodness River was asleep next to Daddy or there would have been a lot of noise and running around going on, luckily the whole event passed her by.

Then I saw Sarah go over to the Peace Garden and through the Carpet of Purple and after looking around to make sure no one but the Naughty Twins was watching bury something.

I waited until they went away and then went out there to see what it was but of course it's buried and although I know the spot I can't dig any more. Urghh  how frustrating. I need George again.

I Need The Gossip!

It must have been a mighty battle last night, everyone is being very self-congratulatory this afternoon. I've just caught Sarah and the Naughty Twins all giving each other a hug and a bathe.

The Time Was Right

Yes the time was right! Right now I mean. What was I waiting for any more? I needed to step out of the shadows and let myself been seen, or at the very least heard.

I needed to know what was going on and I wouldn't find out just by hiding myself away, there's been way too much of that going on recently and enough was enough.

After the recent events the cats were out making a hullabaloo. I wasn't sure the best way to move forward after all I didn't know if it would be better if I was seen or heard first but times were urgent I was very confused and sometimes you need to take a leap of faith that decision you are making is the right one or not. Sometimes it's even down to timings but to get too caught up in them can make time disappear as if by magic!

I moved forward towards the cat calls slowing down the closer I got to them. I wasn't sure, now that I was here, if this was the best idea I've ever had or not. I could hear them talking but I couldn't make out what was being said.

As I got closer I slowed further, just be to cautious, but not reaction at all. OK well I guess they couldn't see me then. Right here goes...

OK courage has paid off and I've another question answered. They couldn't see nor hear me! 

The Battle Outside Last Night

I'm very confused.

The battle outside last night went on for ages. Even though the back door window was locked it's been known for River to use her sheer will power to force her way through so I decided to stay inside and keep an eye on her. 

There wasn't much that I could do, not as things are now, only George can properly hear me and he can't stay anything of any sense at the moment.

This morning I was up early going outside to see what carnage was waiting for me but surprisingly there was no devastation, everything looked like it did yesterday.

Now it's not that that's confusing me, no it's the fact that Doublay is on sunshine shed with both the Naughty Twins and they all appear to be very chummy. Not what I was expecting at all.

I was trying to listen in to what they were all talking about but then River came out all noisy and they all ran off. Things are most definitely not what they seemed!

It's Kicking Off Out There, Right Now, Right As I Speak!

It's all kicking off out there, right now, right as I speak!

The Daddies were settled watching something on the TV, River asleep in Stay Daddies arms when her head jumped up and startled me. She raised herself up and a low growl started to come from the bowls of her throat.

I looked in the direction of the back window which was open. I thought I could hear something and so did the Daddies as they turned the TV down and we all were overcome by the sound of babies crying out. No that's not babies that Foxes they make the same sound to disguise what they are up to.

River growled more and Daddy stroked her more to calm her down. I ran up to the back window and could distinctly hear three separate foxes and a load of cats calling out, I could hear Sarah definitely but I don't know who owned the other voices, the New Cat Crew no doubt.

This all set up of the dogs that live up the back and they started barking, it's now just a cacophony of noise out there. Thanks fully they've got the back door locked and have distracted River now the window is closed and the sound is slightly shielded.

Catworld cats must have known something was going to kick off tonight. I'm so glad they are watching out for River. Please stay safe everyone, I'll keep watch over the front.

Focused On Us

Yes we're definitely under surveillance, the darker Naughty Twin has been relieved of duties by Sarah and Mogsie is staring over here very intently.

I've tried to ask George what's going on but he just shook his head as if to say he doesn't know. It's beginning to concern me now all the attention that's being focused on us. I hope nothing is imminent!

He Always Keeps Your Secret To Himself

We're under pretty much constant surveillance today, Sarah and both the Naughty Twins were out there looking in first thing when Daddy opened the curtains and I've just seen both the Naughty Twins, sitting up by the Swinging Heart of Love.

The lighter Naughty Twin keeps on consulting with The Wiseman. I wish I could use him as a conduit to speak to some of the others but alas I can't, he always keeps your secret to himself.

No My Friends...

No my friends, you are looking in the wrong direction, Doublay's over there!

Interesting Possibilities!

Doublay has just run under the front window and up the side of the house. 

I wasn't expecting to see him at that time and it startled me and before I could think I had run out the back and rapped very loud on the window to scare him off.

He jumped and dashed up the side of AM's.

Yes he jumped. He jumped, he heard me, someone other that George can hear me and wouldn't it just be rum that it turns out to be Doublay one of the members of The New Cat Crew. Still interesting possibilities!

I Know What She's Up To

Sarah's keeping a close eye on us today, I'm guessing something is building, Doublay's been spotted around here quite a lot this week!

She's pretending to enjoy the heat on the sunshine shed but I know what she's up to, protecting us.

Such A Racket

George just checked in, I think to let me know how he's doing, I must admit he's been out in it all day and is showing sterling dedication. 

I didn't however get much of a chance for us to communicate as River spotted him and got herself worked up into such a state that she ran outside and started going mad in the garden.

She was making such a racket that I ran out just in time to see Doublay running across the last few feet on the back wall and disappearing into Squirrel Tree. Thank goodness Stay Daddy was by the backdoor and tricked River in with a treat, it's far too dangerous to have her out there on her own. That and noisy!

Easter Eggs After All!

Ah the sun has brought out the Carpet of Purple, so there were Easter Egg's after all!

She Dropped Off An Entirely Different Surprise

It's finally sunny again after raining for all the day but it's come out just in time for the beautiful evening sun to warm everything up. Out with the sun, out come the cats and the lighter naughty Twin has just made an appearance running over the road and coming to deliver what I thought was Easter Eggs but it turned out to be an entirely different surprise she was dropping off.

Mogsie wasn't too impressed and came running over the road to chase her away, I think she's still in his bad books!

Oww that's just not nice, I'm off out the back.

Dedication To A Cause

Now that's dedication to a cause for you, it's pouring down with rain and I've just seen George jumping over Tiny's gate, he's moved onto the acrobatics phase of his boot camp training. Very proud of you George!

Two And Two

I'd been wondering where all the cats where today and then just as the sun started to go down out George came. I'm guessing it was a little too hot for them all out there today, heat's not something I have to worry about any more so I didn't make two and two to begin with.

His training is all ready paying off as he;s looking more toned already.

Just as I was settling down to have a good old catch up with him we got distracted by Sarah and the Naughty Twins running across the road looking in a bit of a panic.

The darker Naughty Twin kept on looking behind him as if they were being followed.

He must have spotted something as he then quickly began to run and Sarah turned to see who was following them.

Before all three began to run off in unison, a little bit scared looking!

I turned to see Mogsie chasing after them. Oh how my heart lept, it;s so nice to see things being a little bit normal for a while, they;d obviously been winding him up or something and he's had enough. Happy times!

It's Gonna Be A Good Friday

With everything that's been going on this past week or so I totally forgot that the Daddies are both on holiday for the next few days and the sun is out and everything is beautiful.

Disappears is asleep upstairs, Stay is settled on the sofa laughing at something on TV. He's just coughed his mouthful of diet coke all over River happily settled on his lap and followed it up with a sneeze chaser. River is now on the window ledge keeping her distance.

Ah I can tell, it's going to be a good Friday.

The Clock Is Ticking And The Bells Are Ringing!

I know it's a beautiful sunny day but stop slacking George and get running, you've got some muscles and stamina to build up if you are to be ready in time. The clock is ticking and the bells are ringing!

A Sacred Place

We're under close watch at the moment.

The lighter Naughty Twin is is sniffing around at the side of the house, looking for what I've no idea while his brother is keeping a very close eye on Doublay who has, the cheek of it, decided to park himself up by the Swinging Heart of Love.

How dare he, this is a sacred place and too close to home for comfort. River's inside going mad after her dinner and Disappears Daddy is keeping her amused, well I say amused I mean keeping her distracted away from Stay Daddies arm which she seems to love trying to play tug with whenever she has carbs, thank goodness I really wouldn't want her out there tonight!
