Extra Alert And Vigilant

After our little scare this morning I've been extra alert and vigilant and have hardly left River's side, even though she's spent most of the day sleeping near Daddy, double protection!

Nothing much of note happened until just now when I followed Daddy out when he went to hang some washing on the line and there bold as brass was Flash walking, in no hurry, across our back wall.

I could hear River beginning to stir, she can be in the deepest sleep but back door opens and you've have though she'd been waiting on the starting line in the Olympics 100 meters. I knew I only had seconds before she would appear and needed to do something quick, before I'd even though I ran in front of Daddy and tripped him up just enough for him to make a noise and to get Flash's attention who promptly slunk off behind the wall.

I don't know why but twice today I've managed to make my presence know and they seem to be in times of dire danger, I must make a note of this but it has given me renewed hope.

A Building Anger Growing Inside Of Me

You'll never believed what just happened!
I was looking out the window at the back, still enjoying this mornings sun and waiting for George to turn up, it's my intention to start his boot camp today when I spotted the lighter Naughty Twin sitting on a garage roof looking into one of the gardens.

Nothing unusual in that but then I spotted Doublay behind her on the sunshine shed just looking at her, he looked to me like he was waiting for a chance to pounce. I felt so powerless, I wanted to warn her but as you know apart from George and occasionally the Daddies and River, no one can hear me.
When I saw Doublay begin to get up I couldn't just watch as he came at her from behind and I looked around me, immediately to my left was a glass vase the Daddies had on the window ledge and I just banged into it. Nothing but not to be put off a building anger growing inside of me and I banged into it again. This time it wobbled and slowly tipped onto it's side into the side of the wall but it made enough noise to get the Naughty Twin's attention.
She got up and started heading this way to investigate, still unaware of Doublay who thought better of it now that she had moved and jumped down into one of the gardens over the back.

Phew!

It Takes Years To Bear Fruit

I can see Stay daddy has moved the Little Lemon Tree back into the bathroom, I overheard him saying to River that the humidity in there would do it good and help it grow nice and strong.

He really is taking care over this plant, he's not too bad when it comes to flowers and things but he does tend to over water them and yet with this one he's so careful, nice to see, I suppose it does take years for it to bear fruit.

I spotted the lighter Naughty Twin on her morning parade around Catworld, looks like everything was OK last night, no disturbances that I've noticed. Still not a wasted journey it's beautiful out there this morning, an early morning walk in the sun, the perfect way to start the day.

I'm Not Letting Her Out Of My Sight

Oh goodness me, we've just had an emergency!
I was sitting just looking at the rain come down outside from the front window, Daddy was in the kitchen doing dinner and River had popped outside when all of a sudden I heard River going mad barking.

I ran out there as I'm on red alert where she's concerned at the moment to see Doublay staring at River from the back wall, taking no notice of the noise River was making. Bless her but she couldn't scare a bee let alone a cat.

Daddy heard her racket too and before I could even get out there Daddy had opened the back door and was trying to bribe River to come in with one of her gravy bone treats. The lure of the cat was too great even more a gravy bone and she just turned around and looked at him.

I ran up the garden as fast as I could, if Doublay is being this brazen then there's nothing he won't do. By the time I got half way up there up he got and slowly walked away, turning back to give a hideous glare.

River carried on of course obvious to the danger she'd just been in. Right so it's decided, I'm not letting her out of my sight from now on.

Waiting! Plenty Of Changes Coming

It's been a strange weekend.

The Daddies took River out early yesterday and didn't return until the day was done. I spent most of it just tuned out waiting.

Waiting for George to come by, waiting for sense to be made of this whole situation, waiting for some answers, waiting for the next move. Just plain old waiting!

Today's been much the same. The Daddies have been talking about Disappears Daddies good news last Thursday and all the changes that are going to be happening because of it, they sound exciting and have certainly got them both smiling a lot.

River's spent most of the day just lazing and sleeping and I've only seen Sarah today, acting very strange in the garden. I've all but given up trying to work her out, but it's nice that she's keeping an eye out for River along with the rest of Catworld.

Roll on next week, there's going to be plenty of changes coming, thick and fast in their world and Catworld.

They Heard Me, I'm So Excited They Just Heard Me!

They heard me, I'm so excited they just heard me!

I was sitting upstairs in the office on the window ledge, next to the Little Lemon Tree, having a look out to see if George was out. I'd not seen him all day and I wanted to talk to him about us getting prepared and I kind of tuned out, lost in thought. I was brought to by the sound of a couple of cats outside having a bit of a row and it made me jump and I knocked a coin off the ledge that was next to me and it fell to the floor.

All of a sudden I heard the sound of the TV downstairs go off and the Daddies saying something and then they both came running up turning on the lights in each of the rooms.

I jumped onto the floor and tried to push the coin but nothing happened , they looked around the room to see what had made the noise they'd heard and then I saw them turn off the light and go back downstairs.

You know what I would have liked to have been able for them to hear or see me sitting there but just to know that they heard me has so filled my heart with joy that I don't mind. It's the first time in ages that I've managed to get their attention, I'd almost given up as I'd got so used to being able to talk to George and getting caught up in all the New Cat Crew, Troy Lamore and Lane of Bells stuff that communicating with the Daddies has fallen by the wayside.

What a fantastic night it's turned out to be.

Bugging The Heck

Oh so River's in one of her restless moods today I see!

Not content with bugging the heck out of Nadia she's also determined to bark off any cats that come calling.

I'm keeping well out of it, good luck Nadia!

Oh Goodness Me What's Going On Now?

Oh goodness me what's going on now? Daddy just made both me and River jump out of our skins with the noise that he's making, a right hullabaloo, out of nowhere, no warning! I've no idea what's going on but he's made River put on that ridiculous party hat and is spinning her around the room. I guess I'll find out later what it is but if he's not careful she'll be sick all over him again!

Camouflage

I've tried to settle downstairs this morning but simply not been able to so I decided to come upstairs and have a bit of alone time, have a bit of a think.
I'd settled myself on the bedroom window ledge and gazing out over Catworld I suddenly spotted some movement out of the corner of my eye over to my right. Scanning the area I suddenly spotted Doublay hiding on C's garage roof, trying to use an old pipe as camouflage.

I sat there very quietly watching him trying to work out what he was up to my heart really beginning to pond, I think in anger. How dare he! Who do these cats think they are coming in here and disrupting our peace, if I could I would have gone out there and confronted him. Enough is enough!
After a few minutes looking around he disappeared over the back gardens and I ran to the front office window to see if I could see George and let him know but he wasn't anywhere around only Sarah walking over to M's for some brunch no doubt.

Yep There She Goes

Ah it's so lovely to have Nadia back with us.

Come on eat that pepper up you need your strength after your long sleep.

Watch out Nadia here comes trouble.

Yep there's she goes, say goodbye to your breakfast!

Bootcamp

I been watching Mogsie this afternoon and he's not just keeping that constant eye on our home but he's also lost in thought. I know him very well and I know when there's a plan being brewed and Mogsie definitely has something going on in that ingenious mind of his.
I wish I was able to join in with everything that's going on, I feel so helpless not properly bring in the know but there's no point in procrastinating on that, there's things I need to plan.

We can't just enter The Lane of Bells unprepared we need to get ourselves as prepared and as fit as possible.

Get ready George, for bootcamp!

Trapped In Silence

George!

Thank goodness he turned up just now. Where's he's been all day, well it doesn't matter now he's here.

I was so happy to see him and ran outside when I spotted him out the window.

How are you? I asked

He shrugged his shoulders. I guess I understand it's so hard when you've got hardly anyone to speak to, it can be very lonely, trapped in silence.

I smiled at him, I'm guessing he can see me as well today as he tried the weakest of smiles back.

George, I began, I'm sorry but I've got lots to tell and ask you. Doublay was around hear this morning, did you know.

He shook his head.

I caught him going up the side of the house first thing, I don't know what he was up to. He's rejoined The New Cat Crew hasn't he?

He nodded.

Do you know what their plan is?

He shook his head.

Do you know what they want?

He nodded and then nodded again up at our front window.

A shudder came across me, I didn't want to say it but I knew.

Are they after River?

He nodded again and then picking up a paw swept it from left to right.

What did he mean?

What do you mean?

He looked at me a little annoyed. Oh doh at me of course silly question.

Errr. Are they after everyone?

He nodded but he wasn't finished and swept his arm left to right and back again and then nodded at our front window again and then jabbed in several directions.

I looked at his a bit stumped.

He pointed again and then pointed at the front window.

What everyone wants to come in?

He shook his head and jabbed a paw straight towards Mogsie and Twizzles and then up at the window.

I shrugged.

He looked frustrated and then jumped up and down and around in a circle. It reminded me of River when she gets all excited. Ding a light bulb moment.

Is everyone looking out for River?

He pointed at his eye.

A close eye? I asked

He nodded and smiled. R came out with Twizzle and George got up, went to say something and then ran off. Things must be serious if everyone is watching out for our baby.

Right I'm on double alert now, anyone comes near her I'll have them from this side, the other side and every flipping side.

They Must Have Seen

I think Mogsie must have seen Doublay this morning as he and the lighter Naughty Twin have been keeping a very close eye on our home today.
Daddy took River out, up to see Nanny with some flowers for her birthday, so I knew she was OK out of the way. I thought about going with them today but I thought if The new cat Crew saw them go out they might try to make a break in and so it would be best for me to stay here and keep watch.

Turns out I don't think I really needed to. The lighter Naughty Twin was keeping watch over the back and Mogsie was keeping watch over the front.

George please turn up so I can try and get out of you what is going on.

 Coming Soon...

You've Got To Get Up Very Early To Catch Me Out!

It's a beautiful day today and I was sitting down with Daddy as he looked at some photo's of Nanny, it would have been her 80th birthday today you know.
It was such a stylish era back then, the ladies were ladies and the men, well if they were anything like Nannies Daddy were real gentlemen, anyway I digress.
There I was when all of a sudden I heard River barking at the window and I ran from where I was with Daddy to have a look. I was hoping it was George by creeping along the front of the house and up around the side I spotted Doublay.

I ran up to the back just in time to catch him going into AM's back garden up the side of the garage.
He's started early this morning but you've got to get up very early to catch me out!

24 Hour Watch

Daddy has gone out and taken River with him and it's given me a good opportunity to have a bit of a nose around both front and back.
I was hoping that George would appear but he's not but I have seen both Mogsie and the lighter Naughty Twin and both of them have been keeping a very close eye on ours. We seem to be pretty much under 24 hour watch at the moment which is comforting although I do wish I knew why.
When George turns up next I'm going to question him, I've just got to find a way of being able to ask the right questions as he can only answer yes or no at the moment.

He's Accepted The Inevitable

What a beautiful day it is today, I overheard the Daddies talking last night and saying that it was going to be another hot one. Thankfully hot days bring everyone out and about and it wasn't too long before George appeared.
I have been worried about him and was so glad to see him sitting waiting for me this morning even lost in thought.

I asked him if he was OK and he nodded. I asked him if anyone else had cottoned on yet to the fact that he couldn't speak properly and he shrugged his shoulders. I'm deducing from his response that no one has directly confronted him and he's certainly not in the position to be able to tell them.

I could have sat there all morning making small talk but we both could feel the elephant in the room and I asked him outright if he'd thought any more about what I'd said.

He nodded and gave a sigh, I knew what he meant. I'd love to be able to give him some reassurance but there's not a lot that I can do but at least he's accepted the inevitable, he must return to The Lane of Bells, at least he won't be going on his own!

She Survived The Winter Then

The Daddymummy keeps on saying that the daddies should get another kitten to keep River company which is lovely but Stay Daddy says he's not ready yet as he was missing me and felt it would be dis-repectful to my memory.

i fair chocked up when I heard that and moved next to him to be close just as he got up and said come on River you gonna come and see if this hot weather has brought woken Nadia up yet? I don't think he wanted to think about new kittens and that but I can understand what the Daddymummy is talking about, it's the first time since he was a little boy that he's not has a cat around him.
I followed them out, still to keep a close eye on River and all of a sudden I heard him calling out to River and saw him jump up and down in excitement. Running over to see what it was I spotted Nadia half in and half out of the dirt right up in the back of the Peace Garden. Blimey she's survived the Winter then, she really is a hardy little thing and very messy, she was cacked in mud.

We all came running in and Daddy handed Nadia to the Daddymummy to hold when he went and got her bath. She needs it after all that time underground, not just to clean herself up a bit but also so she can have a nice long drink.

River being River couldn't leave her alone and jumped up and tried to lick her. Ahh bless, I guess it must have been a bit lonely animal wise for her since I went. Yes she's had visitors and they keep her entertained but it's not the same and I know how much she adores that little tortoise.

River being River she just couldn't contain her excitment and after trying to get in the bowl with Nadia and getting her ears soaking wet decided she'd also like to have a drink. Nice muddy water, dogs eh.

It is lovely to see them both together, poor Nadia though I know she's just not going to be left alone and you know what as much as I would complain about River chasing me I felt a real pang, I would love exactly that to happen now.

Cats and Dogs - From The Other Side

I Don't Think I've Ever Felt So Out Of The Loop

Well that's my rest over with as I was brought back to reality from my nice little daze by the sound of River going mad at the door.

Luckily I wasn't too far away as I've been concerned about why all the cats are taking such an interest in here at the moment and so have decided to stick by River and looking out of the window saw the Daddymummy coming up the pathway.
Maybe my rest wasn't going to be to disturbed, the Daddymummy always spends ages playing with her and that can mean only one thing. I can stop worrying about River and see who else is around.

Looking out the window I spotted Mogsie striding over the road, coming up to the Daddymummies car and having a good old check out of it. My goodness he really is so very suspicious at the moment. I do wish George could speak normally and then I could stop trying to work out what's going on, I don't think I've ever felt so out of the loop!
