I Love A Good Love Story

What a day it's been!
Everyone was up early, the sun was out and Stay Daddy has been saying that a proper heatwave is on it's way and so Sunday was to be a day to get the garden ready.

As the Daddies and River started getting ready outside, well I say the Daddies and River what I mean is the Daddies, River just tends to get in the way, I spotted Sarah and the lighter Naughty Twin out the front patrolling.

Luckily they didn't stop so when George popped by I was able to ask him if he knew what was going on and how his training was going.

He managed to indicate that as much as it was tiring him out he was following the boot camp plan and making sure he ran at least twice a day as well as practising his jumping by using his garden wall. Amazing how we've managed to find a way of communicating with each other by pointing at stuff and acting things out like charades, never one of my favourite pass times but as it turns out quiet handy when you can't talk properly.

As for Sarah and the lighter Naughty Twin, they have both now been assigned watching over River duties and I should expect to see them around here more often at the moment.

After chatting, albeit a bit one sided, with George I decided to join River and the Daddies out the back to see what they were up to.

The Daddies were busy digging and pulling up weeds and plants that they were mistaking as weeds while River was enjoying spreading some of the stuff they were trying to lay down in the flower beds all over the garden.

I sat and watched them for hours from the sanctity of the Peace Garden which is looking lovely now the carpet of purple is coming up and most of the over grown bits have now been eliminated.

When they were done everyone played with the pink ball. I think the Daddies were trying to tire River out as well as give her, her daily work-out. It did bring a smile to my face to see her so happy running around, panting away, getting more and more excited, and I must say I'm impressed by her ball skills, she manages to control  it pretty well, shame there's not a football league for dogs, she could make us all rich.

As ever when it's hot out and the back door is open Nadia make a break for it and joined us all basking in the sun. River got a bit excited to begin with and tried to knock her around like she'd been doing with the pink kitty ball but Stay Daddy soon put a stop to that and she just followed her around the garden.
When they headed into the Peace Garden, always one of Nadia's favourite places I moved to underneath the cherry blossom tree, which is doing much better now they've actually planted it in the ground and moved it into a sunny position.

I kind of dozed out and didn't notice that everyone had moved inside, I'd no idea how long I had been out there on my own and ran inside to see what they were up to, only to see them enraptured in some movie about Gnomes which they appeared to be loving.

As Sarah and the Naughty Twin were still out there keeping guard I decided to join them. Ah I love a good love story. A perfect end to a pretty perfect day!

Preparation Is Nine Tenths Of Any Solution

Well George turned up this afternoon just early enough for me to put him straight to work. He was hanging out over Tiny's place just enjoying the afternoon sun.

He came over pretty much as soon as I called over, it's no longer even an effort to try and get his attention, just like I'm sitting there in front of him now, I just wish it was that way with everyone but that time will come, I just have to be patient.

Anyway he came as soon as I called and I explained to him about seeing Doublay creeping up behind the lighter Naughty Twin although I said I was unsure how he could get that message across. When I said that he looked at me with something in his eyes that told me he was trying to say something more and so I asked him if anyone yet had cottoned on that he couldn't speak properly, he nodded.

Who? I asked, stupid question really as he can't answer in anything other than gobbledygook so I started again, reeling off names. He nodded when I said Sarah, they have always been close and just for a second I felt a pang just like last year when I realised that he was abandoning me to spend more time with her. Still that's all in the past now and we've more pressing matters.

I asked if she was going to say anything and he shrugged his shoulders, chances are if she's not said anything yet maybe she won't and I wondered if what was going on this morning was related to that somehow.

I then told him that I'd been thinking and we both needed to get physically and mentally in shape if we were to return to the Lane of Bells. I could tell he didn't like the though of the exercise bit but knew it was the right thing.

Preparation is nine tenths of any solution.

A Clue Or Evidence?

After all the excitement of this morning when River managed to climb the stairs for the first time I left them to it and came back downstairs, it's a beautiful morning and just the sort of morning George likes.

I didn't see George but it wasn't long before I did see the lighter Naughty Twin dash across the road over to F's house. Following her I spotted the darker Naughty Twin already over there and indicated for her to look in the flower beds which she did.

I wasn't expecting it but as the lighter Naughty Twin went into the flowers Sarah came out, she was very well camouflages and I'm guessing there wasn't room for the two of them in there. I don't know what they've found but I bet it's a clue or evidence of some night disturbance.

George where are you, I need to know what's going on, and you need to get fit, it's getting even more urgent that we go to The Lane of Bells!

I Was So Proud

I followed River and Disappears daddy when they got up, thinking everyone was now getting up for the day but Disappears went back upstairs, I'm guessing he was tired still he came in very late last night all and just needed a bit of extra sleep.
I settled in the front window looking to see if George was about yet when I heard River whinging away at being left down here.

I tried not to take much notice until I heard the little pitter patter of feet on the first step and then the second and then a bunny hop leap onto the next.

Now this was getting interesting she's never made it beyond the third step before so I ran to the bottom to watch what she was going to do next.

Bunny hop, whinge, step, urghhhhh, bunny hop.

My goodness she was now half way up, go on River you can make it.

She just stopped there next to the Buddha on the corner and cried out. I heard the Daddies get up and call to her. All three of us where willing her on and I think the extra boost of them both getting up must have given her the spurt she needed as she bounded up the last few before jumping straight back into bed.

My heart filled with pride, ah our little baby is growing up and yes I agree with the Daddies, I think a can of worms has now been opened!

A Little Less Help Would Be A Lot More

Nice to see Mogsie is helping his Daddy out with the gardening. However watching him get up in all the grass cuttings that R's just raked into a neat pile and toss them all over the place makes me think.

A little less help would be a lot more!

Why Can't Anyone Else See What He's Up To?

There he is again, for the second time today. This time Doublay wasn't boldly walking up the pathway in front of M he crept up behind the lighter Naughty Twin, blissfully unaware that Doublay was just inches from her.

.

Thankfully he must have made a noise or something as the lighter Naughty Twin then turned around and Doublay instantly sat, all innocent like.

This is getting frustrating now, why can't anyone else see what he's up to?

The Audacity!

The audacity of him, Doublay I mean, bold as brass crossing the road straight over to Mogsie and Twizzles like he hasn't got a care of a worry in the world and all the time I KNOW he's re-joined The New Cat Crew.

I've not been able to get the message out to Mogsie, I do hope he's still got everyone under his watch and that he doesn't fall for Doublay's scheme!

Extra Alert And Vigilant

After our little scare this morning I've been extra alert and vigilant and have hardly left River's side, even though she's spent most of the day sleeping near Daddy, double protection!

Nothing much of note happened until just now when I followed Daddy out when he went to hang some washing on the line and there bold as brass was Flash walking, in no hurry, across our back wall.

I could hear River beginning to stir, she can be in the deepest sleep but back door opens and you've have though she'd been waiting on the starting line in the Olympics 100 meters. I knew I only had seconds before she would appear and needed to do something quick, before I'd even though I ran in front of Daddy and tripped him up just enough for him to make a noise and to get Flash's attention who promptly slunk off behind the wall.

I don't know why but twice today I've managed to make my presence know and they seem to be in times of dire danger, I must make a note of this but it has given me renewed hope.

A Building Anger Growing Inside Of Me

You'll never believed what just happened!
I was looking out the window at the back, still enjoying this mornings sun and waiting for George to turn up, it's my intention to start his boot camp today when I spotted the lighter Naughty Twin sitting on a garage roof looking into one of the gardens.

Nothing unusual in that but then I spotted Doublay behind her on the sunshine shed just looking at her, he looked to me like he was waiting for a chance to pounce. I felt so powerless, I wanted to warn her but as you know apart from George and occasionally the Daddies and River, no one can hear me.
When I saw Doublay begin to get up I couldn't just watch as he came at her from behind and I looked around me, immediately to my left was a glass vase the Daddies had on the window ledge and I just banged into it. Nothing but not to be put off a building anger growing inside of me and I banged into it again. This time it wobbled and slowly tipped onto it's side into the side of the wall but it made enough noise to get the Naughty Twin's attention.
She got up and started heading this way to investigate, still unaware of Doublay who thought better of it now that she had moved and jumped down into one of the gardens over the back.

Phew!

It Takes Years To Bear Fruit

I can see Stay daddy has moved the Little Lemon Tree back into the bathroom, I overheard him saying to River that the humidity in there would do it good and help it grow nice and strong.

He really is taking care over this plant, he's not too bad when it comes to flowers and things but he does tend to over water them and yet with this one he's so careful, nice to see, I suppose it does take years for it to bear fruit.

I spotted the lighter Naughty Twin on her morning parade around Catworld, looks like everything was OK last night, no disturbances that I've noticed. Still not a wasted journey it's beautiful out there this morning, an early morning walk in the sun, the perfect way to start the day.

I'm Not Letting Her Out Of My Sight

Oh goodness me, we've just had an emergency!
I was sitting just looking at the rain come down outside from the front window, Daddy was in the kitchen doing dinner and River had popped outside when all of a sudden I heard River going mad barking.

I ran out there as I'm on red alert where she's concerned at the moment to see Doublay staring at River from the back wall, taking no notice of the noise River was making. Bless her but she couldn't scare a bee let alone a cat.

Daddy heard her racket too and before I could even get out there Daddy had opened the back door and was trying to bribe River to come in with one of her gravy bone treats. The lure of the cat was too great even more a gravy bone and she just turned around and looked at him.

I ran up the garden as fast as I could, if Doublay is being this brazen then there's nothing he won't do. By the time I got half way up there up he got and slowly walked away, turning back to give a hideous glare.

River carried on of course obvious to the danger she'd just been in. Right so it's decided, I'm not letting her out of my sight from now on.

Waiting! Plenty Of Changes Coming

It's been a strange weekend.

The Daddies took River out early yesterday and didn't return until the day was done. I spent most of it just tuned out waiting.

Waiting for George to come by, waiting for sense to be made of this whole situation, waiting for some answers, waiting for the next move. Just plain old waiting!

Today's been much the same. The Daddies have been talking about Disappears Daddies good news last Thursday and all the changes that are going to be happening because of it, they sound exciting and have certainly got them both smiling a lot.

River's spent most of the day just lazing and sleeping and I've only seen Sarah today, acting very strange in the garden. I've all but given up trying to work her out, but it's nice that she's keeping an eye out for River along with the rest of Catworld.

Roll on next week, there's going to be plenty of changes coming, thick and fast in their world and Catworld.

They Heard Me, I'm So Excited They Just Heard Me!

They heard me, I'm so excited they just heard me!

I was sitting upstairs in the office on the window ledge, next to the Little Lemon Tree, having a look out to see if George was out. I'd not seen him all day and I wanted to talk to him about us getting prepared and I kind of tuned out, lost in thought. I was brought to by the sound of a couple of cats outside having a bit of a row and it made me jump and I knocked a coin off the ledge that was next to me and it fell to the floor.

All of a sudden I heard the sound of the TV downstairs go off and the Daddies saying something and then they both came running up turning on the lights in each of the rooms.

I jumped onto the floor and tried to push the coin but nothing happened , they looked around the room to see what had made the noise they'd heard and then I saw them turn off the light and go back downstairs.

You know what I would have liked to have been able for them to hear or see me sitting there but just to know that they heard me has so filled my heart with joy that I don't mind. It's the first time in ages that I've managed to get their attention, I'd almost given up as I'd got so used to being able to talk to George and getting caught up in all the New Cat Crew, Troy Lamore and Lane of Bells stuff that communicating with the Daddies has fallen by the wayside.

What a fantastic night it's turned out to be.

Bugging The Heck

Oh so River's in one of her restless moods today I see!

Not content with bugging the heck out of Nadia she's also determined to bark off any cats that come calling.

I'm keeping well out of it, good luck Nadia!

Oh Goodness Me What's Going On Now?

Oh goodness me what's going on now? Daddy just made both me and River jump out of our skins with the noise that he's making, a right hullabaloo, out of nowhere, no warning! I've no idea what's going on but he's made River put on that ridiculous party hat and is spinning her around the room. I guess I'll find out later what it is but if he's not careful she'll be sick all over him again!

Camouflage

I've tried to settle downstairs this morning but simply not been able to so I decided to come upstairs and have a bit of alone time, have a bit of a think.
I'd settled myself on the bedroom window ledge and gazing out over Catworld I suddenly spotted some movement out of the corner of my eye over to my right. Scanning the area I suddenly spotted Doublay hiding on C's garage roof, trying to use an old pipe as camouflage.

I sat there very quietly watching him trying to work out what he was up to my heart really beginning to pond, I think in anger. How dare he! Who do these cats think they are coming in here and disrupting our peace, if I could I would have gone out there and confronted him. Enough is enough!
After a few minutes looking around he disappeared over the back gardens and I ran to the front office window to see if I could see George and let him know but he wasn't anywhere around only Sarah walking over to M's for some brunch no doubt.

Yep There She Goes

Ah it's so lovely to have Nadia back with us.

Come on eat that pepper up you need your strength after your long sleep.

Watch out Nadia here comes trouble.

Yep there's she goes, say goodbye to your breakfast!

Bootcamp

I been watching Mogsie this afternoon and he's not just keeping that constant eye on our home but he's also lost in thought. I know him very well and I know when there's a plan being brewed and Mogsie definitely has something going on in that ingenious mind of his.
I wish I was able to join in with everything that's going on, I feel so helpless not properly bring in the know but there's no point in procrastinating on that, there's things I need to plan.

We can't just enter The Lane of Bells unprepared we need to get ourselves as prepared and as fit as possible.

Get ready George, for bootcamp!

Trapped In Silence

George!

Thank goodness he turned up just now. Where's he's been all day, well it doesn't matter now he's here.

I was so happy to see him and ran outside when I spotted him out the window.

How are you? I asked

He shrugged his shoulders. I guess I understand it's so hard when you've got hardly anyone to speak to, it can be very lonely, trapped in silence.

I smiled at him, I'm guessing he can see me as well today as he tried the weakest of smiles back.

George, I began, I'm sorry but I've got lots to tell and ask you. Doublay was around hear this morning, did you know.

He shook his head.

I caught him going up the side of the house first thing, I don't know what he was up to. He's rejoined The New Cat Crew hasn't he?

He nodded.

Do you know what their plan is?

He shook his head.

Do you know what they want?

He nodded and then nodded again up at our front window.

A shudder came across me, I didn't want to say it but I knew.

Are they after River?

He nodded again and then picking up a paw swept it from left to right.

What did he mean?

What do you mean?

He looked at me a little annoyed. Oh doh at me of course silly question.

Errr. Are they after everyone?

He nodded but he wasn't finished and swept his arm left to right and back again and then nodded at our front window again and then jabbed in several directions.

I looked at his a bit stumped.

He pointed again and then pointed at the front window.

What everyone wants to come in?

He shook his head and jabbed a paw straight towards Mogsie and Twizzles and then up at the window.

I shrugged.

He looked frustrated and then jumped up and down and around in a circle. It reminded me of River when she gets all excited. Ding a light bulb moment.

Is everyone looking out for River?

He pointed at his eye.

A close eye? I asked

He nodded and smiled. R came out with Twizzle and George got up, went to say something and then ran off. Things must be serious if everyone is watching out for our baby.

Right I'm on double alert now, anyone comes near her I'll have them from this side, the other side and every flipping side.

They Must Have Seen

I think Mogsie must have seen Doublay this morning as he and the lighter Naughty Twin have been keeping a very close eye on our home today.
Daddy took River out, up to see Nanny with some flowers for her birthday, so I knew she was OK out of the way. I thought about going with them today but I thought if The new cat Crew saw them go out they might try to make a break in and so it would be best for me to stay here and keep watch.

Turns out I don't think I really needed to. The lighter Naughty Twin was keeping watch over the back and Mogsie was keeping watch over the front.

George please turn up so I can try and get out of you what is going on.

 Coming Soon...

You've Got To Get Up Very Early To Catch Me Out!

It's a beautiful day today and I was sitting down with Daddy as he looked at some photo's of Nanny, it would have been her 80th birthday today you know.
It was such a stylish era back then, the ladies were ladies and the men, well if they were anything like Nannies Daddy were real gentlemen, anyway I digress.
There I was when all of a sudden I heard River barking at the window and I ran from where I was with Daddy to have a look. I was hoping it was George by creeping along the front of the house and up around the side I spotted Doublay.

I ran up to the back just in time to catch him going into AM's back garden up the side of the garage.
He's started early this morning but you've got to get up very early to catch me out!
