I Think I Made My Point

Sometimes you can have too much peace so I was glad the daddies came back home.

They've all been out pretty much all day today.  When they finally came home and settled they gave me an oh so detailed update of each trip they made.

They said they went to see the boy and the girl in their new home near us. Apparently it is within the cats two mile limit so I may have a venture over there some time. Go and have a look as this Phobe and Flo the cat sisters that they told me about and who look after the boy and the girl.

Then they went and saw the girls in their home. They told me all that they were saying and about some game they've devised for River than involves polishing a floor or something.

I didn't mean to be rude but on and on they went, not giving me a chance to speak.

I don't mean to be rude but sometimes you can get just too much of the detail when you just need to talk about your day to. To make my point after about 15 minutes of this I just started sarcastically chatting to the toy dog on the floor.

I think I made my point, silence fell!

Peace

Peace has descended everywhere today.

The daddies took River out for ages and so I had the whole house to myself.

I took the opportunity to enjoy the floor. It may sound silly but it's one thing I have missed recently. Just being able to walk around totally at peace without having to watch my back in case a little puppy was about to try to mount me like a jockey on a horse is great.

It's the little things that sometimes mean so much.

Like a quiet rest and sleep like Spit's been having this morning on C's back fence. Or getting lost deep in thought like the Wood Pigeons been doing today, just out there enjoying the slight breeze in the air.

Yes it's those things that's so often are overlooked but when they aren't there you really do long for.

They're back now but it was nice while it lasted.

Friday Night

I've not seen anyone around today apart from George much earlier because it's been snowing pretty much constantly. I therefore have spent most of the day and early evening sleeping.

Both daddies came up a little earlier and laid on the bed with me and we played together for a while. We played some of the games that I've not been able to recently because I've not had free reign of the floor.

It was so lovely to spend some proper time together so I decided to carry on and come down with them settling next to them on the window ledge looking out.

I've not seen anyone around today apart from George much earlier and so have spent most of the day sleeping.

The snow has stopped for an hour or so now and I spotted Sarah and the lighter Naughty Twin out and about playing in it.

There they were running across the road which was safe tonight as no cars have been going up and down. They then played chase and tag and splattering snow around. They really were enjoying themselves. If it's snowing heavy again tomorrow I think I'll build a snow cat.

Well it is Friday night I suppose a great time to let your hair down.

He's Brave!

Stay Daddy has just come up to see how I was and so I decided to come join him downstairs.

The coast was River clear so I sat with him right up in the front window.

Well it just goes to show how much can happen when you are asleep. I came down to snow everywhere!

I can see George over the road out in it. He's Brave!

I'm staying well inside way too cold for me.

What Goldfish Think About

I was just sitting here watching Alo and a thought came to my mind.

I wonder what goldfish think about?

Well that led me onto doing some research.

I didn't stumble across the answer straight away. I did find out during my research that scientists have found out that goldfish do feel pain. Well of course they do, just because they are a fish who would ever think that they didn't hurt just like the rest of us?

The second thing I discovered was that contrary to popular belief they do have a longer than 3 or 30 second memory.

Now this was news to me!

I'd fallen for that old wives tale like many people have. How was this discovered?

Well some boy in Australia did an experiment with his one where he flashed a beacon light 30 seconds before feeding him for a while so that his fish got to recognise that when the light flashed and food was to come and swam over to his feeding point.

Well that at least proved the 30 second rule but even more interesting he then turned it off for a few days.

When he started up his experiment again the fish immediately came to the spot that his food was delivered proving that the memory can last at least for days.

Wow, clever boy and clever fish.

I didn't get any definitive answer to everything that they think about but they definitely think about food.

A Good Plan

It's very early for Mogsie to be out and about but he said it's the cold outside that's woken him up.

He said he also wanted to check in with me before too many people were around. He's heard on the cat information network what has been going on with Spit and he wanted to let me know that he's also keeping a very close eye on the situation.

He said he thought that a Cat Council meeting would draw attention to the situation and he's of the same opinion as me that it's best to see how it goes and not reveal too much.

There's some cats around here that are very much of the opinion that he's genuine in his desire to leave his gang. There's other like us two who are a little more suspicious. It's best to play the situation carefully and not draw too much attention.

Let's monitor the situation before making our next move he said.

Good plan!

A Naturally Cautious Nature

I can see Spit and the darker Naughty Twin and hanging out together again, watching the sun go down.
I dunno maybe it's my naturally cautious nature that's stopping me from feeling fully comfortable about the situation.

Spit of course could totally be telling the truth about his desire to break free from the gang and I am a big advocate of that. I guess I just need some proof.

I can't help shake the fact that he did try to break in here yesterday. Of course it could have been a cry for help. On the other hand it may well be just what it initially seemed. I didn't see anyone else around watching him.

I think I'll follow Bella's example and go see The Wiseman to see if he can help me.

Answers Needed

I've just spotted Bella up by the Swinging Heart of Love paying some homage and consulting with The Wiseman.

I'm so glad she's up there asking for some help and advice. We all need it in times of difficulty and this trouble with The New Cat Crew has rocked Catworld.

I do hope she's got the answers she needed.

I hope we all get the answers we need!

George Came Out

George came out to check out Spits story about his now 'apparent' enforced membership of The New Cat Crew.

He spotted Spit sitting on the shed roof at the back of C's garden and took his place on the shed at the back our our garden. Keeping, he later told me, a bit of a distance so that he could see if anyone else from the gang was watching their conversation.

Good idea although I don't know why I'm surprised, us cats are known for our cleverness.

They were up there for about 10 minutes before parting. He came away he said a little more satisfied that maybe he was telling the truth but just like me he remains cautious.

Words are great however actions speak in a much louder volume!

Out Squirrelled

Ha, the lighter Naughty Twin and Sarah have been totally outsquirrelled.

Craig was just out the back picking up some monkey nuts that daddy had left out for him when another one of the squirrels called over to him.

He jumped up on the back wall when Sarah and the lighter Naughty Twin spotted him and made a move to chase him.

He spotted the Naughty Twin just in time as he leapt at him and up the tree Craig ran. Oh how funny the Naughty Twin was peering up not sure whether to follow him or not.

Sarah placed herself on the other shed and searched to see where he went. She was looking in totally the wrong place and Craig managed to sneak past her. She did spot him as he jumped on the shed the other side of her and run off. She followed but he was way to quick for her and ran up another tree where the Wood Pigeons were resting.

When will they learn, the Squirrels are so much faster.

Do We Trust This New Information?

The darker Naughty Twin has just had a conversation with Spit and it appears all is not what it seems.

They were on C's garage roof a great place to go if you want a bit of peace.

Yes he's admitted he's a member of The New Cat Crew but he says an unwilling one!

He's been wanting to leave for ages but there's a lot of pressure from Flash and Chameleon in particular. They've all hung around together for a long time but recently he told the Naughty Twin he's been very unhappy with their policy of intimidating others and coming in to new areas and bullying others so that they can take the best of a place.

He's unsure of where Doublay's intentions lay but he thinks he may also be wanting to leave. The trouble is the group is controlled with an iron fist and once you're in it's very hard to leave.

He said he has to keep up the pretence whenever he feels someone can be around to spot him which is why he's been very active recently. He said he thinks they may suspect that he is no longer as loyal to The Crew and therefore he's been joining in picking on people.

Well IF this is true then we must help him. One of the strongest principles in Catworld is that all are welcome but welcome in peace.

I think another Cat Council is in order although after the last one I'm not sure how well it will go down. I also think it would be foolish of us just to trust this information, he could be a double agent. The darker Naughty Twin certainly seemed to believe him, I just hope his catty powers are in full working order and we're not walking into a trap.

Testosterone Verses Estrogen

After this morning's events Bella and Sarah have both dropped by to find out exactly what had happened.

The darker Naughty Twin passed on the days events to them and they were both concerned that I was feeling OK and not too upset. I guess it's that female side that comes out in all of us  when someone feels threatened or is attacked.

The men of course want to make sure that we are OK but are much more into getting things done about the situation. I guess that's just testosterone verses estrogen.

I assured them that I was alright. One thing all of us have in common, we may be ladies but don't underestimate us. We come out fighting when needs be!

They'd been gone just a few minutes before I spotted Doublay lurking around.

I don't think the days events are over yet. Doublay always seems to appear just before more trouble comes.

I'm keeping on high alert.

We've Had A Fight

Spit has just tried to break in and we've had a fight.

I was sitting with daddy as he worked. River was asleep next to him and it seemed like things were quietening down when I heard a knocking on my window in the back door.

I ran out there to find Spit's head pocking through. Well I went mad. Don't try it on here I may be timid most of the time but get my fire going and expect a volcano.

I chased her out and she ran up by the Peace Garden before looking back. The darker Naughty Twin must have heard what was going on as he ran to my aid.

As Spit jumped up on the back wall he jumped up on the shed and glared down at him.

River came running out and everyone ran away. This is getting beyond a joke!

What Happened Last Night

I spotted Bella out on the shed roof and the coast was clear so I ran out to see how she was after yesterdays harassment by Spit.

She was really surprised and asked did I not see what happened last night?

No I hadn't seen anything I had been cuddled up with Stay daddy on the sofa and the blinds were down and windows were shut as although the snow had stopped and melted it was really cold.

There had been a great big bundle out the front!

Mogsie and George had confronted Spit over his actions and to try and find out why he bothering the cats over here.

Well it all turned into a bit of a scrap. In the end R had to come out and separate them all. Apparently it had gone on for ages. Each time they were separated one or the other of them started it up again.

She and Sarah came out to try and calm things down but were unsuccessful and in the end when R walked over the road right into the middle of it they all dispersed.

I guess we'll all have to sit and wait what happens now. Hopefully the message has been gotten across. Mess with one of us, mess with us all.

He's Gone To Find Basecamp

Poor Bella she's being hounded by Spit now.

I don't know why she's not going inside to get away from him. Following on from the events of earlier this morning I saw her running over to E's and then going through the back into Tiny's garden.

She kept on looking behind her and shortly afterwards I saw Spit following her. Bella had given him the slip as he sat on Tiny's porch way just staring and throwing out dirty looks. He looked very angry I guess because she had evaded him.

I fell asleep and a little while later then spotted Bella out the back by the Peace Garden. There behind her was Spit creeping up. Bella managed to escape his clutches by jumping through Squirrel Tree.

There was nothing I could do River was outside playing and I knew I couldn't make it past her. She's been very frisky this morning with all the random snowfalls.

I went to the front to see if I could see Mogsie or George about. Neither were although I saw Emma sheltering herself under R's car and asked her where Mogsie was.

She told me he'd gone to find their base camp. I know he can look after his self but I do hope George went as backup.

A Spit Spat

There's been a sprinkling of snow all over Catworld this morning and it has brought out the normally very homebody Bella to explore.

Bella really is a lovely cat. She's not around outside much and she tries her best never to get involved in the various dramas that occur from time to time. Which makes what happened even more annoying.

There she was on her own shed roof just having a little explore of the snow when Spit reared his head. He called out to her and I could tell by her demeanour that she just wanted to be left alone and so stopped what she was doing and hid in the bushes in C's garden.

Spit came down from where he was and jumped right into the bushes. I could hear them hissing at each other having a right spat. Within a few minutes Spit strolled back out like he didn't have a care in the world.

Poor Bella stayed hidden in the bushes just watching where he was going. I had seen George taking in the morning air under R's car and called out to him to let him know what had happened.

A few minutes later Mogsie walked by.

I'll sort this, he assured me.

I so hope he does, that's two days running that they've launched an attack on one of us.

A Terrible Mistake, An Attack Was Happening

Oh no what a terrible mistake I've just made. The cat at the back who I've just been admiring wasn't Emma, it's another member of The New Cat Crew.

I was just up the front looking out of the newly cleaned front windows when I saw the lighter Naughty Twin running by.

I thought she was playing chase with Mogsie until they stopped on our pathway.

The lighter Naughty Twin quickly ran down the side of the house and something told me that she wasn't enjoying this game. As I looked closer I could have kicked myself.

The cat that I had confused as Mogsie I had only minutes before thought was Emma and this wasn't play. It was an attack!

Spit quickly ran in front of our front window and between them they were trying to corner the lighter Naughty Twin. I wanted to get out but I couldn't, the windows were shut. Spit saw me, turned and gave a really evil stare and Chameleon joined her..

I quickly looked around to see if there was anyone that I could call to her aid but the street was empty.

it was at that point that the lighter Naughty Twin ran quickly up AM's pathway and Spit and Chameleon chased her across the road.

She was heading in the right direction straight towards Mogsie and Twizzles. I do hope they are at home. Mogsie will not be happy about his little protege being attacked.

What A Chameleon

I've never noticed before what beautiful markings Emma's got on her back.

She was just having a stretch on C's back fence and the angle I was sitting at showed it of perfectly.

She really is a very pretty lady and it's amazing to me, out of all the cats around here she is the one who has she grows keeps on changing her colouring.

What a chameleon!

It's A Tale Of Hope

It's coming we've just had our first little flurry of snow, the magic is on it's way!

I was just upstairs with daddy as he tidied up the dressing room. Disappears is downstairs tidying up Rivers leaves art that she's produced all over the living room floor. I was just there looking out the window when I spotted a light fluttering of snow coming down.

I could see Sarah having a little drink from the guttering on C's garage roof and I called her over to see if she was also seeing it.

She came running over so I jumped out the window to meet her half way and we had a little chat about it.

She'd said that she had been up early and that there had been a little bit when it was still dark. It was at this point that suddenly Spit appeared and came running through C's garden towards us.

I thought she was coming to join in which would have been a great way for us to get to know her but she ran straight past out through the gate.

She's around on a daily basis now and there's something in my catty powers that's really making me feel that she wants to make friends. I certainly hope that's the reason.

I asked Sarah what she thought but she was unsure. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

There Was A Land Of Real Magic

Daddy has finally put down his second book of the weekend and has been telling me all about it.

He's always got a couple on the go. This one he told me is called The Magic. Maybe it's something to do with the snow coming that has made him pick that one up.

He told me that the book says that each day you should sit down and write down ten things that you are grateful for. He said that the book said that if you do this each day it can help bring about a land of real magic.

Good idea so I sat and thought for ages and compiled my list;

1. I'm grateful for the daddies. They look after me and care for me and I love them very much.

2. I'm grateful for living here. It's so much nicer than when we lived in the big city. I feel so much safer here than I did there.

3. I'm grateful for Nadia and Alo and River the rest of our family. I know it's taken a while getting used to River being around but she fits in perfectly with the rest of us.

4. I'm grateful for all my friends here in Catworld. I've made so many more friends here and although it's taken me some time to really fit in I can't image not having them around.

5. I'm grateful that I can speak human it helps me know what's going on without anyone knowing.

6. I'm grateful that I've still got my place on the bed. As soon as I came to live with the daddies Evie shared her space by daddies feet and I just don't feel that I could cope if I lost that place.

7. I'm grateful that I do have my own places that I can go to to escape everyone. I think it's important to have quiet time when you need it when I can just zone out and go deep into my thoughts.

8. I'm grateful for the food and warmth of the fire and my duvet in the office and my dreamies treats. Enough said.

9. I'm grateful for the sun and the rain and the snow. If you didn't have all of these then the world wouldn't be the place that it is and I love it.

10. and finally I'm very grateful for all my new friends that I've made since Catworld began.

Oh snow just thinking of that, this will be the first time that River has ever seen proper snow, wow she really does have a magical time to come.
