In Amsterdam There's Cats Everywhere!

I left my daddies pretty much with River last evening when they came home from their adventures. It's not that I wasn't excited to see them, I was, it's just sometimes you've got to know when to step back. I'm a cat and quiet independent, River however well she's dependant on them and needed a lot of their time.

I got my time this morning when they came down and gave me a great big handful of teeth crunchies and sat me down to tell me all about their trip.

I think it's amazing that people can get in metal tubes and then somehow be up in the sky. I don't think I would like it much, I don't like being trapped in when I go to see the doctor so goodness knows how I would feel all the way up there.

However I would very much enjoy all the water that's everywhere in Amsterdam. I love water in all its formats.

Of course they don't go there to sit indoors, they go to explore.

And low and behold ta dah, cats!

And happy people.

And rather strange clothes.

I do find it very pretty at night when all the lights come on, don't think I'd like so many people being around though.

Daddy said the next day it was lovely and hot there, the sun was shining. Um here it was thundering and River was scared, I guess they go the best of the weather.

Makes it easy for people to sit out in the street eating, drinking and laughing. Um Amsterdam seems like a very happy place.

Where you can walk everywhere very easily. I could explore all over, maybe there's another way for me to get there?

I hope they do god cat food.

Apparently it's very cat and dog friendly there, oh yes and there's lot of bikes too.

And people making merry, mucking about on the water. I'm liking this place more and more.

And then something really strange happened. Daddy showed me a photo of a cat and it looked just like me and a bit like Lil' and I started to think maybe I was receiving a message of some kind from the universe.

I played close attention. Yes definitely I was receiving a message, the closer I looked the more I was sure.

Believe or not.

In Amsterdam there's cats everywhere!

And signs telling you you are not alone. Daisy got it.

They really do love their cats in the Netherlands, lovely people.

Cats, cats and more cats, I'm sure I would feel very at home.

Although not too sure how I'd manage with those trams running around everywhere.

Although they do have some very pretty flowers.

Cats even on clothes.

And black panthers on signs. Yep black panthers are cats too.

At night Daddy said all the people come out into the streets to watch the lights go on and mingle around.

And it's a time to reflect and remember people that aren't with you in body although they always will be in spirit. Messages from the universe are their way of letting you know.

And helping you to remember times spent together.

They like cheese in the Netherlands Daddy says, I don't mind it but I prefer Dreamies,

Eating cheese at night can give you weird dreams I've heard and I have enough of those without any help.

Dreams of rainbows.

The next day they met a cat who looked a bit like Sally, They stopped and said hello.

But they were on their way t see the 7 Singing Towers of Amsterdam. All sounds very magical.

I think from the photo's Daddy showed me that they had to climb up really high to see them.

Ah yes, I can see some.

1968, a good year apparently.

So says the Old man. In the messages are to be believe

He then showed me a photo of a pixie siting in a shop window as happy as can be. I did wonder why he was so cheery but couldn't work it out.

But then again it's Amsterdam and even old bikes on the way seem to smile.

But then again from what I'm leaning the whole city smiles at you, and showers you in signs from the universe.

Um!

"Eat Up, It's Going To Be A Big Day"

I has no idea how long I'd been asleep but when I woke up the sun was shining bright, I stretched and yawned, I really needed that sleep.

"Good morning." The Fly cheerily dropped a strawberry at my feet, "Eat up, it's going to be a big day."

"Where are we?" I stood to take a look at my surrounding. We appeared to be in a wood, trees and bushes surrounded us, we were settled in a little clearing, no more than a meter square. The trees were different than those in the Enchanted Forest and the air although warm was clearer and crisper than I was used to.

"England, Parnip Valley is just through there." He buzzed a few inches in front of us, then backed up and sat on a stone on the ground.

Parsnip Valley the place where the 2nd Great Age of Cats began it's downfall. "How long have I been asleep?"

"Oh just a few hours your time, about a month in The Time Consciousness."

"A month!" I took a step back.

"Yes," The Fly responded matter of fact he bent down munched on some mouldy leaf on the ground. Sometimes he really did take the biscuit.

"Now eat up, we've got to leave soon."

"Leave! Where we going?"

"To watch the battle."

"How can you be so calm?"

The Fly turned back to me. "David, I've seen this so many times that's why I can be so calm." He must have seen the look of horror on my face because there was one. He came closer to me and tried to give a reassuring smile.

"David, this happened. This always happened, always will happen, there's nothing you can do about that."

"But so many could die, so many are about to die. I don't want to go and see this, I don't!"

The Fly looked back at me blankly, licked his lips and began to speak.

"David, what is about to happen is new to you but happened hundreds of years ago for them. It's all ancient history and because of what happens, because of what you are about to see and take part in forged the future, their future, the future of all catkind, your own past and your own future. It's not something you can stop but it is something that you can help with. Didn't Purlean ask for your help? Well help her then!"

"But I don't understand." I really was so confused and was way past wishing I hadn't entered The Time Consciousness but I had and now events were calling for me.

"Nor will you, nor should you until you are called." The Fly put a hand on my shoulder. "Don't worry David all will become clear."

I looked at him, his hundred eyes smiled back. "Come on let's go, there's a big crowd waiting and," he laughed, "Time waits for no one."

Sunday, 26 June 2016

"I've Been Waiting For You!"

"I've been waiting for you!" The voice was familiar and I opened my eyes. There right in front of me buzzing around was The Fly, grinning away.

What was going on? I was still in the air, I should have fallen by now and been enveloped by the sea but I wasn't, colour all around me.

"What's going on? And more to the point where have you been?" I looked at The Fly, angry and relieved both at once.

The Fly smiled back, "I told you I've been waiting for you." I could have swiped at him but I was glad not to be alone and also glad not to be floating around in the middle of the sea.

"You...!" I didn't know what to say to him.

He laughed back. "Oh come on David, how many times have I taken this tour, did you not think that I didn't see you'd be OK? You needed to take that part of the journey on your own but I've been watching over you the whole time, you needed to speak to Purlean and I don't think you would have done that if I was around."

"You mean you knew that was going to happen?"

"Well," he paused "Yes" Then giggled. He must have seen the look on my face. "Oh come on, I knew you'd be fine, I've seen you at the Parsnip Valley when I was on one of my other tours, and if you were there then you must have made it OK and as I said I've never been that far away from you."

"Where are we?" I looked around again, it was like the northern lights had descended upon us.

"Remember the magic that chased us through the forest?" I nodded, "Well we're right in the middle of it now, it's helping us get to where we need to be. Parsnip Valley, now get some sleep David, it's OK you'll be safe you are going to need your energy AND your wits about you when we get there!"

As annoyed at The Fly as I was I had a lot to process from my conversation with Purlean, and a lot to remember. And what did she mean by - one day you will remember and when you remember then you'll be free?

Saturday, 25 June 2016

"You've Been Waiting for Me?"

"You've been waiting for me?" The shock in my voice plain for anyone to pick up on.

Purlean nodded, "Yes," she smiled, "I've been watching you for a long time now."

I shook my head, something felt familiar in her words but I couldn't remember what.

"I'm confused!"

Purlean pushed another piece of fish towards me, "It's no wonder little David, no wonder that you are confused."

"Huh?" I shrugged my shoulders.

"David-Shiro cat from the future, a witches familiar a decedent of mine, traveller of the Time Consciousness. Time travel in the way you have done it has it's consequences."

I was stunned. "How...?" I was stumped

"How do I know your name? How do I know your a Time Consciousness traveller? David-Shiro I'm a witches familiar, the first witches familiar." She smiled "Just the fact that you are here gives me great joy, it proves at least one of my darlings," she nodded over to her sleeping kittens."survives what is shortly to come."

Purlean's eyes twinkled, a tear glistened, happiness and sadness all at once.

"I know you know." Purlean brushed a piece of fish from my face as I hungrily snaffled another piece, I didn't realise how hungry I really was.

"I know what's to come and the terrible choice that's to be made." She paused, "The choice that is inevitable, the choice that two must make, you see it's the only way to stop her."

Purlean looked lovingly to a sleeping Ursa, snores vibrating the wood beneath her.

"Don't get me wrong I love my Ursa, she looked after me when no other would, when I was an outcast. But she can't be allowed to carry out her plan.I'm going to have to stop her and David-Shiro I always knew I wouldn't be alone in my task." She pointed at me;

"Do you think it's a coincidence that you are here now? Out of all the hundreds and scores of tours The Fly has taken that YOU are the one to find himself here on this raft with us now heading towards the final showdown with The Army of the Try Their Bests?"

I started at Purlean, my fore mother, a grandparents, grandparents, grandparents, grandparent. What generation from her I was I didn't know but we were linked, we shared DNA, we were both Witches Familiars.

"I guess not." I replied and Purlean smiled.

"The thing is darling David-Shiro you are a very special cat, a cat that has a special secret that even you don't know yet and it's because of your specialness that you are the only one that can help me."

I was surprised, yes I was a witches familiar but that's where I thought my specialness ended. "What do you mean I am special?"

Purlean smiled a smile of family love and took a deep breath she looked behind her. "Entering The Time Consciousness has it's consequences." She leaned "David, one day you will remember and when you remember then you'll be free!"

Her words seemed to freeze in my somewhere, my blood was ice rushing through my veins.

"But enough of that, that is for then. I'm going to need you help David, I can't tell you with what yet, to know would be dangerous, but the next day we meet I'm going to need your help. Will you help me?"

I nodded and Purlean smiled, her shoulders relaxed. "Thank you." She lent forward and gave me a kiss on my forehead.

I was feeling very confused and overwhelmed, here I was talking to Purlean the first witches familiar and he she was saying she needed my help, stuck on a raft in the middle of a sea hundreds of years before I was born without The Fly my guide agreeing to goodness only know's what.

"You trust me don't you David?" Purlean suddenly looked serious.

I nodded.

"Then David-Shiro you must jump off this raft and into the sea."

"What!" I quiet liked water I am forever playing out in it but to jump into the middle of the sea that was a different matter.

"You MUST jump into the sea David. You trust me don't you?"

I nodded again.

"Then trust me, jump into the sea you will be alright."

My eyes scanned the horizon looking to spot any shoreline, none could be seen. I looked back at Purlean.

"But we're so far from land."

Purlean nodded, "You trust me?"

I nodded again. Purlean stared back. I stood up and walked over towards the edge of the raft, looking into the dark night water, it seemed so deep. I looked back at Purlean to see if I could see anything in her eyes. I did trust her but this seemed madness, her eyes urged me on.

I squatted down a cat leaping position, if I was going in I wasn't going to enter cautiously, I was going to go for it. Down my back legs went, the adrenaline pumping in and up I bounced flying high in the air squeezing my eyes shut waiting for the impact and coldness of the water to wash over me

"Remember," Purlean called after me, "Remember!"

Spooky Stuff - Theo Nodded and I Began

I'd been sitting downstairs in the quiet, River and the Daddymummy were still asleep upstairs. I was think about my daddies and wondering what they were up to, they've gone away for Daddy's birthday and we're being looked after by the Daddymummy, when I heard a tap on the window.

Looking down I spotted Theo looking back.

"Go on then," he said, "I'm ready to listen."

I was a little taken aback.

"Listen, what to?" I really hadn't joined the dots together, I guess it was still early on in the day.

"What you was telling me about Purlean, Mogsie and George have both been telling me I should listen to what you had to say before I make my mind up."

I smiled.

"But I should tell you I am very reluctant to get involved in any spooky stuff."

"I'm so glad and no pressure, you make your mind up whenever you feel is the right time for you. I didn't really want to either but my friend Greego needs my help and I can't do it on my own."

Theo nodded and I began...

Then I Realised What Was Happening

I thought things were a little different this morning,my Daddy who goes out very early was still in bed. I thought at first maybe it was Saturday then realised it wasn't then I thought maybe he'd slept through his alarm but no that couldn't be it my other daddy was downstairs.

Then I realised what was happening when I saw bag coming down the stairs, they're going away on holiday for a couple of days and the Daddymummy is coming to look after us because it's Daddy's birthday.

Happy birthday Daddy x

Wow What A Night Last Night Was

Wow what a night last night was.

We'd all settled down to sleep when all of a sudden the night sky lite up bright burst of white streaks and a roar of thunder crashed down on us.

I had settled on the sofa but the surprise of it made me jump up onto my feet before I realised what was happening, we were having a storm. A big storm, the likes of which I've never seen before.

I could hear River pounding up and down upstairs and went to go up and see her but then thought no, she would be safe with our daddies looking after her so I decided to venture out.

Of course as usual the cat flap was locked, so I prised it open and ran out into the garden. the first drops of rain were beginning to fall but within seconds a torrent came down and I ran into the garage to watch it for a while as it pounded the ground.

After about 10 minutes it slowed down and I ventured back in to see how everyone was. I could still hear River running around and our daddies trying to sooth her, give up on that I thought with it being this loud there's no way she would settle.

All of a sudden crash of thunder, bright lightening strikes turned night briefly into day and the excitement became too much for me to take and out I ran again, running around and around the garden getting faster and faster, dodging this way and that. I love the rain, anything water related, apparently I'm like Evie in that respect.

I heard Daddy come downstairs with River, she wasn't going to settle and the best thing to do in such circumstances is let her do what she wants to , she won't listen to calming words, even though Daddy brought down the duvet for them both to cuddle up on.

The storm lasted hours and my adventures in and out lasted as long. Eventually River settled on the sofa with Daddy her panting subsiding as the storm did. I know she hated it but I had a great time although I'm tired out now, I've been up half the night and think I'll probably be asleep half the day now to catch up on myself. Wow!

You Wouldn't Know That Summer Arrived Yesterday

I've been out searching all afternoon for Sofia but again no sign of her.

I guess it's not helped that it's been raining on and off most of the afternoon. You wouldn't know that Summer arrived yesterday, not if you measure the weather.

Not all cats are like me in their love of the rain, I suppose Sofia is one of those that hates it and has been keeping indoors. I suppose I should just chill out and wait for her to come back to me, patience isn't my strongest virtue.

She Doesn't Take Anything Seriously

I don't know how she does it. River was only bathed yesterday and already she's got a load of stuff caught up in her paw, I mean she was only outside for 5 minutes this morning.

I mean...tut *raises eyes* She doesn't take anything seriously.

Stop giggling you're moving and making it harder for me to get it.

Well Actually I Did Forget - Fathers Day

Oh my goodness I nearly forgot, well actually I did forget, today is Fathers Day.

I only remembered, well you know what I mean, when I spotted River jumping up at Daddy and calling out Happy Fathers Day.

I panicked, no card, no surprises, I had nothing planned. That's when inspiration kicked in, an performance of the amazing legendary cat dance for them both to say Happy Fathers Day daddies.

 *Clears throat*

I had to think fast on my feet, well my back actually, there's no such thing as the amazing legendary cat dance. I hope they don't catch on.

Right time for the grand finale, a back flip from a sitting position, I do hope this makes up for forgetting.

I Guess I Haven't Been Entirely Honest

I guess I haven't been entirely honest with River.

After reading Twizzle's important communication I got myself a little bit excited at the prospect of making some new friends and in my excitement woke River up.

We looked at me all surprised so I yawned and told her I had woken up because of the noise Daddy made putting our dinner on. She came bounding over to me all ready to play but I just wasn't in the mood for some rough and tumble so told her I had to have my post sleep bathe but I would play with her as soon as I was done.

I was hoping that dinner would come along and distract her but I've just heard Daddy say it will be at least another half an hour, I really don't know if I can stretch this bathing out that long. I hope he's put the chicken on high.

A Very Important And Exciting Communication

I've just received a very important and exciting communication from Twizzle;

Hi David

I've got some exciting news for you! My Mum was out on the pavement
speaking to the new people who have moved in to E's house. When she came
back in she and my Dad were talking and apparently S and R (the new
people) have got two baby kittens who they call their babies !!! A tabby
one called Fenn and a white and tabby one called Biggles!!! Two little
boys and they're only 9 weeks old so they're a little bit young to come out
yet to play. Well at least we will have two new members of Cat World.
Keep a look out of your window because you might see them first before I do.
You never know when they're big enough they might take their Mummy and Daddy
out for a walk just like I do with my Daddy so that he gets a little bit of
exercise every day.

Lots of purrs and kisses

Your friend Twizzle

xxxxx

Fingers crossed one of the may be another witches familiar, I'm running out of options with Doublay on the hiding list and Theo incredibly reluctant to get himself involved in forming a new Coven of 3. Even if they're not it will be great to have some new friends to play with.

No Other Probable Explanation

I've just spotted Sofia, she was sitting on the back wall looking in the direction of the back of the house, she must have been looking out for me there is no other probable explanation.

I forced my way through the door flap and went running up after her but once again timing was not on my side. Just at that moment Daddy decided to hang the ashing out and out followed River, spotting the two of us she ran up the garden barking her head off.

Off ran Sofia over the sunshine shed. I followed but couldn't catch up with her and lost her somewhere over the gardens.

Still at least it's clear, she at least wants to talk to me and that makes me very happy. Hope gathers pace.

Give Me Strength, What A Hullabaloo!

Well we've had fun and games here tonight. Daddies mummy and daddy have come for a visit, so far so good. The problems began during dinner when River decided she'd quiet like some of theirs.

She had of course already eaten about half a chicken but with such exotic smells coming from the table she couldn't resist jumping up or attempting to jump up to have a look.

Of course in her excitement she didn't take care and what everyone at first thought landed a bit awkward as off she went limping up to Daddy sitting eating int he window at the other end of the room.

Cuddles and concerned words danced around from everyone fussing over her with lots of oohs and ahhs and are you ok darling?

After about half and hour of this Daddy lay on the floor with her and started massaging her paw before exclaiming he had an explanation for the injury and ran off to the back of the room and into River's draw, coming back with the nail clippers.

Apparently as she landed somehow she's managed to get one of her fingers clicked over another, all the fault of those talons of hers that she refuses to have cut. She's beat 4 separate vets you know, she may be small but boy can she be tough when she doesn't want something doing.

Well one of out daddies held her while the other clipped away. Of course a struggle ensued but they did manage to get one paw clipped before River retreated to the sofa and the safety of nanny and Daddy.

Give me strength, what a hullabaloo!

Oh I've Got About 30 Seconds Before...

I was so pleased to see Sofia yesterday, thinking about her smile at me I reckon I still have a chance at taking her on a date. I've had a little look around the garden for her earlier but she didn't turn up and then it rained so I came in and decided to have a watch out the window to see if she turned back up. Nothing yet so I guess I shall just have to wait to see.

Hang on a second...

...what on earth is she begging for now?

Oh dear no, chips!

I'm in for it now. I'm off. No River I'm not listening, no, no matter how much you beg.

Oh, oh I've got about 30 seconds before there's no stopping her.

My Impulses Drove Me

There I was just having a little rest on the back of the sofa, not thinking much about much when all of a sudden something moving outside caught my attention.

It took me a couple of seconds to focus before I realised it was Sofia looking up at the window.

I jumped up and ran towards her. I was feeling very excited and wasn't really thinking what would happen when I got there but my impulses drove me faster than my mind, which was also saying she liked me.

Jumping up at the window I tapped to make sure she could see I was there, and of course that's where things went belly up, what was I thinking making a noise. Seconds later I was joined by River jumping around and making a right hullabaloo. Of course of Sofia ran away as quickly as she could but I'm sure I caught a smile from her just before she went.

Cheer River!

Such Attention Is Warranted

Now as much as I sometimes think that over cosset River there are some times when such attention is warranted, today being one of them.

I like River can hear so much more than human people can and today somewhere in the distance there's a big storm going on, thunder and lightening, very, very frightening...

...for some of us. It doesn't bother me in the slightest, I get more bothered by being woken up unexpectedly, especially when little doggies paws are involved.

River however it terrified and she started shaking. I've learnt there's nothing that I can do to help, best keep close but leave alone. Daddy however is a fussy one and lay down on the floor with her, stroking her head giving words of love.

It was when River turned her back on him that I saw him going on the computer and do some frantic searching while I just purred words of comfort as River lay there trying her best to calm herself down.

All of a sudden explanations of "That might work!" came from Daddy and up her got and went to River's draw, getting out her lead and reigns.

Of course River jumped around backwards in excitement, tail all wagging and a smile went over Daddies face.

Apparently it was time for them to "Get happy."

Works for me, I can get back to my sleep, safe in the knowledge I'll have a trouble free hour, as long as the weather holds that is. Even though it was nice to be invited all for the ride.

I Could Tell Something Was Afoot - Tales Of Adventure And Treats

I could tell something was afoot when I walked into the kitchen and wasn't chased around by River, it's the usual game.

However, I could see her blanket was here and I could have sworn I could smell her too.

I sniffed around for a while and even called out her name but no response and appearance from her and I was fancying a bit of a play.

Not finding her in the living room I came back, the smell trail was telling me different from my eyes.

Then all of a sudden, from the sky's came a hello, looking up she was sitting pretty on the counter top.

Up she got and down she came landing right next to me, tail wagging tales of adventure and treats, I was hooked!

A Very Important Communication

Everyone's been out for the day so that means I've had the entire house to myself.

Of course I took full advantage of my alone time. I broke into daddies bedroom and had a nice long sleep on the bed, it's not something I'm allowed to do at night as I keep River up.

I awoke to the sound of something coming through the letterbox but I knew it was much too late for it to be the post person so I ran down to have a look. There on the floor was a leaflet, as it turned out a very important communication.

A cat from up the road called Peter has gone missing, on the leaflet was his picture and contact details. Now although I've never met Peter that doesn't matter, a cat in need or peril is a call out for action from every cat to help.

I sprung into action, going straight out the backdoor and into the garage to check to see if he had got lost as was hiding out in there. The garage was empty so I jumped up on the back wall and had a scout over the gardens calling out his name. No response unfortunately.

That won't stop me from keeping an eye out and an ear to the ground.

I expect by now, Mogsie, George and co have also got the communicado and are out looking because for the past two hours I've been sat in the front window watching out to see if Peter walked by, still lost from coming into unfamiliar territory and in my entire time there I didn't see anyone, although I must admit to falling asleep for a while, it was hot.

I do hope he gets home safe and sound.

Get Some Tips

I don't know how Twizzle does it, persuades her Daddy to provide her with a constant guard whenever she's out on her evening walk.

I must have a chat with her get some tips, she is one clever cat. I quite fancy taking my Daddy out for a walk, it looks fun.

If I Had Any Doubt - That's When All Of A Sudden It Happened

If I had an doubt about Mogsie's ability to lead and look after us all it's just been quashed.

I'd just finished dinner and decided to join Daddy in the window, watching the last sun of the day paint everything a warm orange when I spotted what I thought was Mogsie sitting in the bushes over at Tiny's house.

I watched him with a growing sense of amusement as just the odd ear tip or eye suddenly appeared from behind the plant as he looked left or right. That's when all of a sudden it happened. I hadn't notice that a rather large dog was walking up the road, being led by his mum, just as the dog reached Mogsie it lent in for a look. Quick as a Flash out came Mogsie's paw swiping at the dog who jumped back in surprise before running off after his mummy.

Wow there really is nothing Mogsie is scared of tackling, makes me feel a lot more secure that he knows exactly what he's doing with Flash and Foxy Lectar.

How on earth could I have doubted him?

There's Still No Sign

There's still no sign of Sofia. It's been ages now since I last saw her and the more and more I think about it the more than can only be one logical reasons. She's avoiding me because she doesn't like me in that way.

I must admit to feeling a little sad about that but I guess it's better know sooner rather than later, at least I didn't make a fool of myself asking her out only to get a rejection. Would have been nice to have had a shot at it though.

That's When I Spotted River

I've been sun loving out in the garden all afternoon and I've found the perfect spot under the table just enough shade but I can still feel the warmth of the day.

The thing is after all that sleep I've woken up full of energy and wasn't sure what to do with it all, I know if I don't get it out I won't sleep tonight. That's when I spotted River and an idea sprang to mind.

A surprise wrestle attack!

That's where the plan started to go wrong.

She might not have been expecting it but for such a tiny little thing she really is strong. Flipped on my back, she had me down in 5 seconds flat. Still a cuddle in the sun isn't such a bad result.

A Little Too Bold - You Must Stand Up To Bullies

I've been keeping a bit of a low profile again today. Partially because it's been so hot and partially because I've been feeling that maybe I was a little too bold yesterday with Flash.

I had a nice long sleep, sometimes the best thing to do in such circumstances when you can think clearly. In this instance it was exactly the right thing to do, for I saw things very clearly.

Who on earth did Flash and his gang think they were coming to try and intimidate me and there I was beginning to think I'd gone too far, not far enough I thought, I needed to tell him to his face what I thought of him and went searching to do exactly that.

Unfortunately I didn't find him, still my resolve is not going to falter, no you must stand up to bullies.

You Are Really Testing My Patience

"I thought I told you I wanted the buried treasures left on the wall for when I came back!" Flash just shouted up the garden at me.

I'm indoors on the table safe away from River having a pasta dinner high and running around wild. This is one time though that I'm grateful for the noise she's making, it's putting Flash off attempting to come inside and steal it for himself.

I just blinked back at him and then just at that moment something came over me. I shrugged my shoulders and then poked my tongue out at Flash.

"YOU," he sounded really angry, "are really testing my patience!"

And off he jumped the other side of sunshine shed. In just that single moment I didn't care, I was safe inside with my family, safe and protected from all harm.

He Leaned In One Eye Closing, Half Wink, Half Squint

"If you want something doing, do it yourself." I heard a voice from just outside the kitchen window, I was in there waiting for my dinner to be served.

"David! David-Shiro!"

I knew that voice, my skin chilled. I jumped up on to the ledge and looked out, standing in front of me bold as brass was Flash. If he'd been here 10 minutes earlier he'd have bumped into Mogsie. I bet he was watching that whole time we were talking waiting until I was on my own.

"Ah David-Shiro, glad you could join me." His mouth chomped up and down on fresh air, slithers of drawl stretching from top to bottom.

"Now you've had more than enough time to bring out the Buried Treasures, and..." he leaned in one eye closing, half wink, half squint, "you know exactly what I'm talking about."

I stared back, not saying anything my senses trampolining but my facade determined not to show I was flustered.

"You have no more time, I've decided enough is enough, I'm a busy man, I have many things to do and can't be wasting any more time on you mucking me about. Leave the little red dragon on the wall at the back of your garden by the time I come back or else."

"Or else what!" I couldn't help myself it was spat at him before I could think.

Flash smiled, "Or else I'll come in and get it myself!" He seemed happy at the thought. Turning his back to me he spat out some air, laughed and ducked into the garden next door.

Vile individual. Oh Mogsie I need you!

Message Received and Message Sent

I've spent the past couple of days trying to find Theo I need to tell him what I remembered about Purlean and my time in the Time Consciousness but he's nowhere to be seen. The message was received from the universe very clearly and now I know that without fail I must reform the Coven of 3 as quickly as I can. I can't believe so much time has been wasted in folly.

I put a message out to George when I saw him earlier to ask him if he or Mogsie knew where he was. He said no he hadn't but he would ask Mogsie he saw him.

Well Mogsie has just popped over, he said he hadn't seen Theo but asked what the urgency was. Of course I told him that's when he looked at me with a serious eye.

"You've got an even bigger problem that you think."

I looked at him confused.

"You know I put Doublay in hiding?"

I nodded.

"Well he's gone."

"GONE!" I almost shouted at him.

"Yes, but it's OK, a message sent by Doublay has reached me, we have a special code word so I know it was certainly from him. he's OK but he said he's not coming back anytime soon."

"But he must come back." I was crestfallen. "I need three black cats for a Coven of 3 and now there's only me."

"And, Theo." Mogsie jumped in.

"No," I shook my head, "I've not got Theo to agree yet."

Mogsie smiled, "Exactly, yet! That story is not done!"

I nodded, "Do you know any other black cats?"

Mogsie shook his head, "No, not from around here, but don't give up on Doublay yet, my plan to deal with Foxy Lectar and The New Cat Crew is nearly complete, when word gets out I'm sure Doublay will return, the Sparrow Sisters can't help but have a good gossip, it'll get back to him. You just concern yourself with persuading Theo. Do what you can and don't worry about what you can't. Let me deal with that."

I guess I've got not much choice.

A Universe Test Request - A Pink Panther!

I'd been sitting musing on the message surely sent to me by the universe this morning. I couldn't be sure so I did something a little naughty and sent out a universe test request.

Daddy was getting ready to go to the shop and so I requested that if this message was definitely a message I should be taking notice off, even though at this stage I can't decipher it, than he was to return home with news of a panther.

I half didn't believe it could happen, it seems such a strange request to fulfil but it it was then I could not ignore it.

He came back, mumbling something to himself, said hello to River then me and went out in the kitchen to unpack.

I went out to see if seeing me would prompt a conversation from him about what he'd just seen, he sometimes does that. Today he didn't.

No today he just left on the side a message as clear as day is light.

A Pink Panther!

Message received, loud and clear!

The Black Panther - Hidden In Plain View

It's a lazy stormy day today it's been a one this time still hopefully it will be over soon.

River and I have just been laying around. I had my eyes closed but was listening to Daddy reading something on the internet when my catty powers sprung into action at something he was reading.

It was all about the symbolism of Black Panthers, a programme on TV was telling the tale of a door knocker shaped as one.

My ears pricked up at;

"Black Panther disappears in the mist between the branches of the trees, like a whisper deep in the jungle where the trees sing the songs of the journeys of souls that have passed this way before. The lack Panther appears for you to challenge you to overcome the fears held within your shadow."

I gasped, suddenly it was all coming back, what happened with Purlean on the raft on the way to England, heading towards the final battle that heralded such a change in the Great Age of Cats.

Daddy carried on, the muscles in my head straining to catch every word;

"Things are not always as they appear, at first glance the Black Panther appears to be a purely black cat, but upon a closer look he has the spots of Jaguar hidden within in the coat. The black Panther is in fact a Jaguar with black pigmentation of fur rather than golden coloured fur sported by the Jaguar. Black Panther spirit guide can bring the meaning of things being hidden in plain view. it is only by your keen observation that something more significant reveals itself, this can be circumstance as well as intention of others."

Daddy gasped at that one!

Not Knowing, Caring Or Remembering

Everyone's gone out for the day. I think they are taking Daddies cousin home, she's been here for the weekend.

I've kept pretty much to myself but come out now I've got the place to myself, just as I like it sometimes, nice and quiet gives me time to think and mind wander.  I couldn't tell you where my mind wandered to that's part of the joy not knowing, caring or remembering where you've been.

That's the magic of a lazy bank holiday for you.
