Freezing Out A Stranger

I don't wish to start up the old and pretty contentious debate over who guards houses better cats or dogs. However I've got to say when it comes to strangers on your land nothing guards better than a cat. Especially not this lot. Not from what I've just witnessed.
I almost felt sorry for the poor man in the bright yellow jacket who I've noticed the past few minutes going door to door with some sort of board on his arm. Although he seems to be leaving each one pretty sharpish once the door opens.

Anyway he just went up to do the same to Twizzle and Mogsies house. Well Sarah who has been resting on Tiny's lawn raised straight up as soon as she saw him.

Mogsie and one of the Naughty Twins seemed to come from nowhere and Mogsie started to walk down towards him to meet him before he got to the door. Cat to man, face to face.

Sarah was now standing up ready to jump and then as the man approached the door the other Naughty Twin popped up. The man in the yellow jacket was now surrounded on all side by 4 cats, all giving him evils, freezing him out..

He did look nervous and didn't even wait for the door to open before walking of. He got the message alright.

There must have been something about him they all didn't like, they worked in silent unison. I must remember never to take all 4 of them on at once.

Respect In Catworld

I had just finished my tuna supper and was having a little look out my back window as I cleaned myself when I spotted one of the Naughty Twins up by the Swinging Heart of Love. He looked like he was consulting The Wiseman over some matter.

I watched to make sure he was OK and then moved away. It's always important here in catworld for us to give each other mutual respect when consulting. It's a role you just kinda know as a cat.

I quite like it that some of the others have discovered the talents of The Wiseman, I hope the Naughty Twin gets the answers he seeks.

My First Taste Of Real Tuna

Daddy has just given me some real tuna. Now I do like fish but generally from the pouches although sometimes daddy does give me real fish but not tuna not until now.

I find I like it which does surprise as it's got such a strong smell. I can eye a few more cans that have been hanging around for a while so I guess they've got my name on them too.  Good.

Finally & I'm Determined

Finally they return, both the daddies have been out most of the day and left me all home alone.

I spent the afternoon catching up on my sleep, I'll teach them to leave me alone for so long and keep them up late tonight. I'm determined to get the biggest cuddle and stroke from both the daddies. I'm starting on Stay daddy he's the easiest to crack, I'll leave the other for later.

Apparently they've been out and see some friends and someone they call Hair Bear. God only knows and to be honest in the mood I'm in I'm not open to hear what they've been up to this time. So sit still daddy I'm not moving for ages.

That Reminds Me, I'll Begin...

The tale of two the Cumbiare, the other one The First
An idea in the mind of one a building bubble burst
The Cumbiare he took a sip to quench his growing thirst
And spat a drop into the world, The First he was the first

A cat was borne a time began of when he ruled the earth
A time of peace and happiness and peels of loving mirth
The Cumbiare the one who caused the first of us to birth
He looked upon this joyous scene with not a smile of girth

The First he was a mentalist, not on this one look on The List
A time foretold of magic bliss, another one you should not miss
To search it out then you must sift, you want a clue? It’s all a myth
So do you get it? There’s the gift. The First was strong and positive

The Cumbiare his plan to snare, The First he was not unaware
The birds sang out, are you aware a time to come of little bear?
There's more to come, with clues to spare. Will you look? Do you dare?
This tale begins in magic’s lair, a tale of two. I'll see you there?

The List of 3

Oh how could I have been so unfocussed. The birds were giving me clues all along, I just needed to listen to my catty powers to understand. I was thinking of taking a trip to The Wiseman to see if he could give me a clue as to what was going on in bird land but wanted to see if I could tune into the animal world network that crossed animal language barriers in times of intensity.

I sat and put myself into quiet contemplation thinking about the events of this morning. Suddenly it hit me. Agatha Christie head working today

The Goose from the Lake flew over 3 times this morning
There's 3 Sparrow Sisters
Initially the message was being spread by the wood pigeons, the black birds and the sparrow sisters, 3 birds groups.
And finally the crow called out 3 times.

3 they were calling out 3. Now this is a very important number to the animal world. It's a calling to listen, it's a calling to spread the word. As soon as I understood the birds broke into beautiful song.

It's a time that foretells, a time of Magic approaching.

The Crow Called Out

There's been total silence for the past 15 minutes. I've been wondering in and out but am getting nothing from anyone until just now. The crow called out, I can hear him now.

It's like in the olden films when a bell tolled, magically calling everyone to gather. He's still calling moving from house top to house top. Each time he calls three times in pattern and then goes quiet. It's been going on for a couple of minutes now, but still I hear not another sound and I see no other movement from any of the other birds.

It must be something pretty big and serious for the crow to get involved. He usually just sits there telling stories to the rest of bird land and anyone else who will listen.

Something's Going On In The Land Of Birds

Something is going on in the land of birds. The Gooses from the Lake have flown over three times this morning already, back and forth they've been going on making a tremendous racket that even disturbed one of the daddies.

Now the birds do like to have a good old chat first thing in the morning that is nothing new, however this is different, this isn't their morning chorus.

I went outside to see if I could get a better idea as they were all at it, the blackbirds and the wood pigeons, where being particularly vocal.

I even caught the sparrow sisters at it and they are usually so very quiet, going about their own business not really interacting much with the others. It looked like a bird council.

As soon as I went outside as if by magic a hush fell everywhere. I'm not sure what it is but I'm going to get to the bottom of it, I don't like how it smells.

Confident Swagger

There's been a right hullabaloo here just now.

Stay daddy was on the phone, that he walks with, and left me to have a little rest in his office. I guess he's done for the week as he's actually been tidying up in there with the brush along the floor thing, something he doesn't do that often.

Anyway there I was having a little rest in the sun when all of a sudden I could here this massive amount of cat screaming. I ran downstairs to see daddy looking out the back window, searching for clues, but I couldn't see anything. The noise wasn't coming from there. I deduced it was fron next door, my cat ears are better than a humans as daddy was still looking out the window into the back garden.

Then all of a sudden it went eerily silent and out of the corner of my eye I saw Mogsie walking slowly and silently with a confident swagger from behind AM's garage. He glanced in my direction before carrying on home. I wonder who it is he's been fighting with?

Kindness of The Two

Ahh bless them, M and R have seen Emma's plight and have moved a bowl of food right next to her, they really are kind those two.

Go On Emma

I think I am going to have to take Emma under my wing.

Bella was just eating some lunch courtesy of R when around the corner one of the Naughty Twins sped. To be fair he didn't push Bella out the way, just. Within a second of two of his appearance the door opened and another bowl of food appeared which was tucked into.

It's Emma I feel for though. She was just behind him but I guess her shyness stopped her as she stayed just out of sight and is now waiting patiently for them to finish.

I suffer from shyness to and so I know what it's like and it's not something that easy to overcome but she needs to if she is going to get a look in. Go on Emma.

An Unbelievable Thirst

OMG sometimes trying to get a message across to one of the daddies is so hard.

Last night just before we all went to bed daddy checked that I had crunchies and water to see me through the night. However I guess he must have been very tired as when he put the water down most of it spilled out onto the floor and he didn't notice.

I wasn't too thirsty so didn't worry about it too much. However boy it was hot last night and when daddy got up to go to the toilet I thought it was a good idea to have a little drink. Down I came but there was hardly enough left to wet a tissue. O well generally not too much of a problem I can have a look around the taps to see if there's anything dripping that I can have and went back to join daddy in the bathroom but no little drips anywhere.

I cried out to him but he was in a bit of a sleep daze, it's hard enough for him to walk straight when he's that tired, often he ends up walking into the side of a wall so trying to get that message across I knew was a lost cause. So decided to bed back down and hope that I'd fall asleep again real quick.

Up at 5 I was, really dry. After failing to get a daddy awake although I did try by walking all over them, I went outside to the water catching thing, that's usually got a load of water in it. Daddy had used almost all of it up watering the garden and all that was left was some dirty mess and as thirsty as I was there's depths I will not stoop.

I was really really dry now and the only option was to wait until they got up. When they woke up cry and cry and cry I did but they just didn't seem to be getting either the hint or a move on. Worse comes to worse I could always drink what was left of the bathwater when they got out. Oh no today Stay daddy decides as soon as he gets out to spray some foamy stuff in there. Marvellous.

I ended up making such a racket as he was getting dressed that he could tell something was up. Doh he thought I just wanted a big stroke. Now that's lovely but when you are so dry you can hardly swallow a stroke, well that's second on the list.

Finally as they were leaving I managed to get their attention by standing in front of the door and crying my heart out and giving them my best big eyes look. At last the penny dropped daddy looked at my bowls and saw there was still plenty of food and finally noticed no water.

When they left I drank the bowl dry.

I Hope George Is Alright

Hey dad, Oi put the blind up will you I can't see anything with them down.

That's better, finally daddies come down for a break and put the blinds up. What a lovely surprise, George is out and about. It's so nice to see him.

Thinking about it I haven't seen George around much for weeks. He always used to be popping by, even if it wasn't by invite. In fact, along with Emma, he was the first one to welcome me when I moved here but I think I can only remember seeing him around less that half a dozen times this past few months.

I do hope he's OK he looks in fine fettle, shiny coat and nice physique but he's walking so slow across the road over to M to get a stroke.

I will definitely be keeping an watch on him. I think I will also leave him some dreamies to see if that cheers him up, he seems a little down or maybe he's just slowing down. I must find out how old he is.

Dancing For His Dinner?

Oh just spotted the Naughty Twin from this morning back waiting at M's door. What's he gonna do now dance for his dinner? Now that I would love to see.

He should be a little careful though of getting too complacent I can see Mogsie lurking around in the background behind him. Now I really do wonder what he's up to.

Hurry Up

Just sitting here waiting for Disappears daddy to come home, it's been a long day without him, especially as I've not had much us time from Stay daddy. Not long now I hope.

Mixed Message

Sometimes trying to get a daddy to understand me is like pulling teeth.

Stay daddy was working in his office all morning, fair enough he needs to get to it and I did get to hang out with him.

However this afternoon it's been all woods and nails and smelly varnish stuff in the garden no time or room, it seems, for me.

Patiently I waited until he was all finished but I don't think it's too much to ask that he gives me his undivided attention now that he's finished.

Down he sits, up I jump. Nothing. Meow I do, sit he does. Ok this is now getting beyond a joke. Cry I do, notice of me he finally takes but gets it wrong.

What is it ? he says. Stroke I meow, You want something to eat? he says, Stroke I meow over and over again. Ok let me go and see if you've got some crunchies in your bowl. No I want a stroke, you've been ignoring me all day.

Finally the penny dropped after he sees the bowl is full. Worth waiting for, but next time please not so long.

A Naughty Twin Earns His Breakfast

One of the Naughty Twins has just put on the most amazing show of love and acrobatics for M.

I was just upstairs with daddy in his office, he was chatting away on the phone and I was a bit bored of just laying here so I decided to have a little look out of the window.

It's a lovely sunny day and although there wasn't much activity for the first few minutes I suddenly spotted one of the Naughty Twins darting across the road over to M who had just come out of her front door.

He danced around her like a little acrobat, flipping over, jumping into the drain and rubbing himself all up against her.

I think M found it funny as she laughed and AM from next door to us went across and have a little chat to her.

I must admit I was really impressed with the Naughty Twins show and he was soon rewarded with a lovely bowl of something from M, which he munched away at quickly before disappearing again. He's got the cute charm gene that one and he knows when to use it, um dangerous combination that.

The Clean Up

Well the clean up has been a great success. I've no idea if the Wood Pigeons managed to get the squirrels to help us as I've not clapped eyes on them for days.

Stay daddy said he was talking to C about them and she has seen a little fat squirrel that jumped over Emma, I think he said. I wanna meet him.

One of the Naughty Twins popped around earlier and, without looking my way as I sat in the window, passed on the message that any potential fox scraps from the other side of the road had been eliminated. I've been fairly busy making sure that my patch is clean.

I did find that one of the foxes had broken the back wall again, this time the bricks been smashed to pieces on Sunday but absolutely nothing since. I've not even had the chance to persuade the daddies to drop tip bits which is good as I was a bit stumped as to how I could make that happen.

So far, so good. An eye out will still remain though.

It's Good To Look After Each Other

I don't often do this but I've just seen this advert and although the music at the beginning is a bit unnecessary, although perky at the end, I think it's such a worthwhile cause that I'll like to share.

It's good to look after each other.

Why Us Cats Have Nine Lives - The Myths

There's been many theories put forward as to the reason us cats have nine lives.

Some of them have a modicum of truth in them, many are just stories. The real truth to humans is lost in time and folklore and only us cats really know. It's a secret that's passed down to us by our mentors as little kittens when we are starting to walk. It's a secret I'm planning to share with you very soon.

Brewers Dictionary of Phrase and Fable passes of the myth's reason as us being more tenacious than many animals and whilst this is true it's not the reason.Yes it's true that we have alert senses and often survive situations that others might not. You ever fallen off a roof and just brushed yourself off? Thought not, but many a cat has, however please don't test out the theory it's not a pleasant experience and woe betide you bringing down the wroth of catworld upon you, you have been warned!

Some people have linked the number nine to us cats because the number nine is said to be mystical, like us, and in places such as China it's considered a very lucky number as is having a cat. Well there's clue for you. Us cats are very lucky, so I guess that much is true, however it's not the reason.
.
The myth was perpetrated by the Egyptians where we were worshipped as gods even the Sun God Atum-Ra took the form of a cat when he visited the underworld. This was one of our golden era's. Thankfully we're in one again now after the horror of the middle ages when suspicion and rumour linked us to witches.

Most of these so-called witches were simple, loving people who put out good thoughts to the universe and conversed with nature. While it was true that we used to hang around with them, why wouldn't we? We held many beliefs in common such as love and healing and friendship and they treated us as their companions so we used to share our catty powers with them. One of the most horrific ways that the witch finders used to deal with us was to throw us from high places but due to our amazing athletic abilities and contortions we often were able to just walk away. This again gave rise to the myth that we actually had many lives. Even Shakespeare wrote about us having nine lives in Romeo and Juliet, the rumours had spread everywhere.

But no, none of these are the real reason why we have nine lives, the true story's tale is even more mystical than any of those theories.

I'll share it soon, I promise.

Repellent Back On Ya

I can't believe it. Someone has just sent me an advert for cat repellent, charming!

Who on earth would want a cat repellent? What is cat repellent apart from obviously the inventors company? I think they are on to a losing idea there, no market for it.

A New Convert

Hurray. I always love it when we've a new convert.

After getting of the phone to Disappears daddy and then doing a whirlwind through the house and chucking, literally, some food on a plate, Stay daddy sat down to give me a little cuddle.

It was during this us time that he gave me the great news. One of his friends, WHS, told him today that at some point they are going to adopt a little cat. Now this is always the most fabulous news to any of us cats ears. Especially when it's someone who's not had the luxury of us taking care of them before.

O the joy, the heart sings out, it's music to my ears
Happiness is all around, no more catty tears
The lady with the smile of gold her heart to us she takes
A bosom friend we'll be to her a stunning choice she makes

The Same Trick Twice

I can hardly belief it, Mogsie has been outwitted by the blackbird again.

He was sitting on his lawn, quietly minding his own business when the blackbird came flying down low over his head and parked himself on the lawn with his back to Mogsie.

On he carried on with his little rest when the bird flew right over him a again. This time he looked a little less impressed but still carried on although I could see he was stretching his legs out.

The bird flew right in front of him a third time. This teasing was obviously a step too far and up Mogsie pounced, aiming himself at mr blackbird, who gently flew up and perching himself in a tree just out of Mogsie's reach. He didn't look too happy. This blackbird seems to be making a habit of this, I can't believe Mogsie fell for the same trick twice.

I Love Spinning

Weeeee I love spinning around and around on my back, makes me go all dizzy and giggly.

If That Is What A Fright Does To You

I was just thinking I wonder what I would look like if I did, literally jump out of my fur.

My conclusion, if this is what a fright does to you I must learn not to be so jumpy.

What The

I thought Sunday mornings were supposed to be peaceful and relaxing. Not in this place, not today.

I had just finished my little bathe and had settled down for a sleep in the sun.

Stay daddy was watching something on TV that, from what I can work out despite the complicated plot,  involved a dwarf running around clad only in a pair of tight blue underpants and a large man in a pink cut-off tank top having his two front teeth knocked out my some woman called Joyce. He seemed to be finding it all very amusing, when I heard a loud shrill in my ear, which wasn't daddy.

I wish someone would turn off that car alarm, it made me jump nearly out of my fur.

Almost more to the point what on earth is he watching?

Sunday Bathe

There's nothing quiet so satisfying as a early morning Sunday bathe.

Intolerance & Penance

I'm afraid I've got a little confession to make. I've just really had a go at one of the Naughty Twins and given her an angry chase.

I was in the trees at the back of the Peace Garden and had finally managed to persuade one of the Wood Pigeons to listen to me about what The Wiseman had told me about cleaning up the lands around here, when up from behind the lighter Naughty Twin came and surprised me.

I guess I can now understand why Mogsie acted the way he did the other night when I did the same thing to him in the dark.

Anyway apart from the shock I got really annoyed. It had take me over half an hour to get one of the wood pigeons to not fly off as soon as I approached and my tolerance snapped. I screamed at him and chased him across our back fence, he looked scared.

Almost as soon as I had done this I felt bad. It wasn't his fault, he may have been trying to give me a message or just pleased to see me. I will apologise in person later.

I decided it was time to get some more love back into my heart and went to the Swinging Heart of Love to get a top up.

On a separate note I've had a brainwave. The wood pigeons may be able to pass the message on to one of the squirrels. I think they are too afraid to let me approach as I've gotton nowhere with them the past couple of days. I've seen the wood pigeons and the squirrels in the same place at the same time feeding and they all live in the same tree's but at different levels they must co-habit peacefully.

Extremely Good Manners

I've learnt something new and very interesting about one of the Naughty Twins from Stay daddy this morning that just goes to show appearances can be deceptive.

We're just sitting down having an early morning cuddle and he was catching me up with where he went last night, all very nice, of to see The Girls with Disappears daddy.

There he was telling me everything that they'd been talking about when he suddenly stopped "Oh I know what I forget to tell you".

Yesterday when he was on his way out to get into the car he said that he saw the lighter Naughty Twin squatting over our overflow drain. As soon as he saw daddy approach he ran off onto AM's pathway. He said that he called to him saying that it was alright he didn't need to run off but then noticed that he was squatting over AM's drain. He said it was then that he noticed that he was weeing.

Now I know us cats are clean but that's super conscientious. I'm very impressed. Daddy said that he was going to tell The Girl later when he saw her as she's brought a toilet seat for her cats that you put over a human toilet and is going to try to train them to go to the toilet in there. Informing her of the Naughty Twin should provide great inspiration for her, maybe she could learn a trick or two.

A Mothball Solution

It's amazing what a good sleep can do, I've just woken up with the solution to where I can get mothballs from, Nanny.

Now Nanny always used to use them and I remembered that the daddies have boxed up some of her stuff in places, specifically a cupboard upstairs in the daddies office. Now if I can just get into that cupboard I'm sure that there must be a whole stack of them in there. Ahh bless nanny, even though I've not seen her for a very long time she is still helping us from wherever she is.

So on my mental list I now have two things crossed of. The mothballs and getting the word out to catworld about the clean up.

I now just need to get in contact with the Squirrels and the Wood Pigeons, get them to clean up their areas of tempting food tipbits, lay the mothballs at the perimeter of the land, somehow persuade the daddies to leave a trail of food out of catworld and we could have an end to our Foxy problem.

Foxy Lectar Takes On The Wiseman

Another morning and another early morning confrontation from Foxy Lectar and Silver Eyes.

They are upping their game, not only are they growing in confidence with their daylight trips but they are now displaying signs of totally brazenness and vandalism.

As Disappears daddy bathed and Stay daddy was began to stir I decided to have a little look out the window to see if I could catch one of the Squirrels. Imagine my shock to see both Foxy and Silver Eyes in the garden.

I called out to the daddies to come look, I made such a noise that they both came running immediately.

Both of them pesky foxes were sitting in the back garden. While Foxy was eyeing up his early morning breakfast, one of the black birds, Silver was happily knocking down a bit of the back wall.

When daddy opened the window Silver ran off but Foxy just turned and smiled, taking no notice at the daddies calling out to them. The blackbird flew to safety onto AM's fence but that didn't deter Foxy who tried some sort of Jedi mind trick on him to hypnotise his gaze and they just sat there staring at each other.

Daddy called out and it seems to break the trance and the black bird flew of. Foxy didn't look too impressed and tried to hypnotise the daddies by staring back straight into their eyes. I looked away as someone here needed to ensure that they were not under their control, although I had no idea what I could do if he gained power over the daddies, all by myself.

Foxy slowly turned and walked over to The Wiseman, who just stared ahead, as always, as ever. Foxy then did the unimaginable and knocked into him, a sure sign of disrespect, before jumping onto the back wall and slowly swishing his tale took his time walking along my lands boundary.

When he reached the shed he turned, took one final look and then leaped, like a horse over a jumping pole into one of the other gardens.

When the daddies went out I ran up to The Wiseman, he was OK, no signs of any reaction. I could see the black bird was high up in the tree, apparently unaffected by the confrontation. Still no signs of any of the other cats, Squirrels or Wood Pigeons. I shall report this back to the Naughty Twins later and get them to spread the word.

Searching For Clues

Well I've not seen hide nor hair of anyone today until about half an hour ago when one of the Naughty Twins came out.

I managed to get his attention and he came over cautiously to me. He seemed a little more confident once I'd indicated that there wasn't going to be any trouble and that I needed him to spread the word about the clean up operation and what I'd gleaned from The Wiseman.

He said that he also hadn't seen anyone all day but that he was certainly going to start spreading the message and also added that as I never went over the other side of the road that he would look for clues and report back if he found anything.

I like this co-operative air we've got going and despite them pushing their luck I'm growing very fond of the Naughty Twins. I think I shall leave some Dreamies treats out for them as a little reward.

Who Are You?

Just on the look out for the squirrels from the bedroom window and a flash of ginger caught my eye. Who are you, I've not seen you around here before?

Never Rest On Your Laurels

I've learnt a valuable lesson this morning, you should never rest on your laurels.

No one was on watch last night and those two foxes have caused chaos in the back garden again. Holes dug, squishy messes left everywhere. Total contempt it appears. No idea what they may have done to the other side of the road, I'll check in with Mogsie and Twizzle later to see if they've experienced their vandalism.

I must step up my game and really begin to get our plan in action. I've already been out to try and spread the word of what The Wiseman told me but no one is around.

Foxy and Silver eyes really are getting braver, not only have they seemed to cottoned on to something going on but they are not taking any notice of the daddies presence either. Both of them took their time leaving when they were spotted earlier and even sat for about five minutes just staring at us all, this morning.

I must admit they are fine looking creatures apart from the fact that you can tell in their eyes that there is something different about these two, they are not just normal foxes. Right today I'm kicking myself up the bum ACTION.

Smitten?

O good lord, stay daddy is in an excitable mood again tonight. He'd just eaten his dinner, none coming my way I notice, went on his computer clicked his fingers and screamed.

Apparently something to do with hearing from that bloke that's smitten with some woman called Tracy Ann and he's well chuffed, wonder what that's all about? Still nice to see he's so easily pleased. Now give me a stroke and we'll say no more about it.

A Mental List

After this afternoons consultation with The Wiseman about the Foxy situation I sat down and mentally made a list of everything that I needed to accomplish.

1. To inform the rest of catworld of what is required and get their buy-in. I don't think this will be too difficult as none of us are happy with Foxy being here. I shall tap into our information network and get the word spreading that we need to all meet or at least representatives from each house need to get together.

2. To make contact with the Squirrels and persuade them to join us in cleaning up their areas.. Although tricky as we never really interact, the daddies unknowingly had provided me with a bit of a solution. Stay daddy always feeds them monkey nuts from a big bowl he keeps by the back door. He buys them specially for them. Although they don't drop by everyday they are semi regular visitors. So at least they are around. I shall have to work out a way to approach them without them running off.

3. To make contact with The Wood Pigeons and persuade them to help in the clean up. Now they are always around but they always fly away when whenever any of us approach. The Naughty Twins always chase them so I think I best leave them out of the running for the contacting them. Also they may have some information about where the foxes home is as they fly all around everywhere and I'm sure must have spotted them. The thing is they are always asleep at night so they can only help us during the daylight hours.

4. Now onto something that has got me in a real quandary. As you know I can speak English, letting the daddies know that I can say hello and I've also let them know that I can say no, much to their amusement. But how do I let them know that I need them to leave a trail of food out of catworld without giving the game away that I've got an excellent command of the English language? This answer I just don't have at the moment and requires more thought. Their part to play is an important one but I just don't think at this stage it's a good idea to let them know of my language skills.

5. Find out where I can get mothballs from.

The Wiseman Speaks

After sleeping for all of the morning and a good part of the afternoon I woke up majorly refreshed and ready for my audience with The Wiseman.

Up I went to the Peace Garden where he resides. I had two problems that I needed to consult him on. The first to find a long term solution to the Foxy Lectar and Silver Eyes problem. The second what do I do about the situation with Mogsie?

The best way to get a really good answer from Wiseman is to be at peace and to listen to what is transferred into the mind, after my long sleep I felt in perfect condition and ready for some answers.

I sat and asked my first question. The answer came slowly at first, I concentrated really hard and it became clearer.

This was not a situation that I could handle on my own and I needed to overcome my reserve and continue to band with many. The foxes were not happy negotiators and they were here for a reason. The Wiseman told me that they also were hungry but to feed them would only encourage them and so we must keep catworld clear from temptations.

Silver Eyes was a follower and not a leader and so Foxy was the one we should really be concentrating on. When he went Silver Eyes would also go.

The clean up of temptation task however would involve not just us cats, but the Wood Pigeons and also the Squirrels. This indeed was a big task. The whole of our world needed to work together. Each of us should be assigned special food clear up tasks. Once that was done we could tempt them away by getting the daddies involved by leaving a trail of food leading outside of catworld and off into the fields.

How I was to co-ordinate this and get the daddies involved was something that I had to work out myself. As an added aside he said that when this was all done I could also leave mothballs at the edge of the land to deter them. Well that was a bit of a surprise answer but certainly worth a go.

The only alternative was to get professionals from outside involved or all out war, although neither option was something I was keen to pursue.

Satisfied that I had gleaned as much insight into that situation as I could I moved onto thinking about Mogsie. The answer came a lot quicker. I needed to make my position clear and them stand back to allow him to come forward. If he didn't feel that same way I needed to accept it and move on, as difficult as it was. The Wiseman always speaks the truth even if sometimes you just don't like the answers.

So I had my answers, I must now act on them.

Silent As A Mouse

I know if I keep quiet and just sleep here daddy will let me stay with him today in his office because of everything that's been going on.  I am very tired as I was up most of last night on look out.

It Worked!

It worked, all of us banding together and taking it in turns to keep guard last night, no sightings, no damage, no drama. It just goes to prove sometimes the best results can be had by working together towards a common goal.

However this is really only a short term solution, we can't keep it up every night. I shall make a trip to The Wiseman today to seek his advice, we need to come up with a more sustainable long term solution.

Lesson Number One

Well that little plan went belly up.

We'd been sitting outside for about the past half hour quietly just sitting and watching and I gathered my courage up and approached Mogsie to say hi and to just get a little closer.

Lesson  number one, never approach someone in the dark from behind, they don't take to the surprise too well.

Back to the drawing board I guess, I think next time I'll wait for him to approach me.

Mogsie My Protector

I've just spotted Mogsie has come across the road and is sitting at the edge of the front lawn keeping a watch out.

How sweet and gallant is he coming all the way over here in the dark just to keep a safe watch out over me.

I'm really flattered and decided to go out and sit on the lawn to keep him company. I wonder if he'll make a move on me tonight? I hope so but even if he doesn't just the fact that he is keeping a safe eye on me when I didn't even know, wow.

On High Alert

Word has been spreading about this mornings trouble with Foxy Lectar and Silver Eyes throughout the day and catworld is on alert.

We've decided to take it in shifts, George, Emma and Sarah are currently resting, I think they must be taking the night shift. Twizzle I know will be keeping an eye out on her walks later and will report back to Mogsie if she see's anything.

Both of the Naughty Twins have stepped up to the plate, one is watching out the back and the other is currently patrolling both sides of the street. Mogsie has taken first watch covering the far side of the road, he's making his presence felt by sitting in the middle of his lawn.

I'm currently patrolling this side of the road on the front lawn, a place I rarely go but I think as dusk falls we need to have our presence felt.

We welcome all here in catworld but we do not tolerate trouble and this message must be got out loud and clear. It may be a long night.

He Had Eyes Of Solid Silver

When I got up this morning I had a quick look out of the front window to see how Sarah was doing and I can see that Emma has taken over second watch from Sarah last night. That's a good idea to take it in shifts, it can be tiring to do an 8 hour shift all on your own.

Everything seemed quiet and calm so I decided to venture outside to eat some grass in the early morning peace.

However just as I was chewing away I heard a call from Disappears Daddy to come in. There was an urgency in his voice and it startled me. As I looked I could see Foxy Lectar staring at me from the back wall.

I'm not sure, I might be imagining it in the drama of the moment but I'm sure I saw him lick his lips. What was going on? It's daylight and as far as I'm aware there's never been a daylight sighting, he's getting more brazen, this is a very disturbing turn of events.

I didn't know what to do but always find it best to be right by a daddies side when there's danger so I ran inside to hear daddy shouting to Stay Daddy to come look.

Foxy turned and slinked off across the back walls, only to be followed 2 minutes later by his sidekick.

OMG the horror, he's got eyes of silver! What sort of genetic modification has taken place to make his eyes turn solid silver? Stay Daddy said maybe he'd been experimented on by Davros but I've no idea what he's banging on about and who this Davros is but I'm scared and not a lot scares me.

Silver Eyes followed Foxy but stopped as soon as he got onto one of the shed roofs and just turned and looked us three dead in the face with a look of contempt. I will spread the word today. Although I totally believe in peace and love, things are escalating, considering what happened a few days ago with the confrontation with Mogsie, that I think it's time we formed a war council to formulate a plan on how to deal with this increasing threat.

Sarah's On Watch

I can see that tonight Sarah has been tasked to keep watch over the opposite side of the road for Foxy and his sidekick.

I'll keep a look out out the back for a while until I get too tired. It's important that we pull together in times like this. I will sleep a little safer as I know that Sarah is a tough cookie, she has to be to keep the Naughty Twins in line. Paws crossed it's a quiet night.

Total Peace

Wow what a lovely afternoon it's been, nice, quiet and sunny, just about perfect.

Mogsie is sunbathing on his path, while Twizzle is getting some shade under a bush.

One of the Naughty Twins is enjoying the shade of a tree while watching what Mogsie is up to and the other is having a rest on a nice cool roof.

Even Nadia has woken up and is coming out from the back of the fridge for something to eat. Guess the heat has made her realise it's not time to go to sleep yet.

Me I'm just enjoying watching the peace and quiet of the street. Ahh perfect afternoon.

Daddy Disappears

Oh that's a shock, disappears daddy has disappeared again this morning with stay daddy, but stay daddy came back. I was getting used to having him around all the time. I do wonder where he goes to and what he get's up to when he's not here?

On another note, no evidence of Foxy Lectar's disturbances this morning. I kept quite a good look out over the back last night sitting on the window ledge for ages looking out, but I did get tired and eventually had to go to sleep. I've just had a forage around the gardens this morning and no new holes, so it seems last night he kept away from this side of the road. I'll make contact with Twizzle and Mogsie later to see if it was the same their side as well.

Double The Trouble?

After a little bit of thought I replied to Twizzle.

Hi Twizzle,

Thanks you so much for keeping me up to date with his fiendish movements. I have only recently noticed that he’s dug up my garden again last night. I’m just so confused as to what his plan is. It is indeed disturbing that he has now enlisted the help of an assistant, double the trouble no doubt, but great that you are keeping your eyes peeled, I remain as always on alert. Please thank Mogsie for me, although I shall in person when I see him next, for continuing to look out for us all.

Oh just a little update on the Doberman situation. I saw him last week and it seemed that he was very firmly leaded so I’m trusting that his naughty ways are now under control and we can all breath a little more safely.

Twizzle Reports Some Very Disturbing News

I've just received a very important communication from Twizzle regarding Foxy Lectar's recent activities. She's also informed me of some rather disturbing news. Foxy was also bugging them last week and it seems he has enlisted the help of a sidekick.

As time goes on he becomes more and more devilish, a mind tormented and twisted beyond all normal reason. Great to know that Mogsie has stepped up to the plate as always, I shall have to think of a special reward for him.

Hi Lil

Some important news to tell you, which you may wish to consult the Wiseman about.

Foxy Lectar turned up again last week, but he had back-up with him! They were walking along in single file so that they looked like one long fox and it was rather confusing. So keep an eye out for them!

Now, last night Foxy turned up alone. I was sitting looking out of my window and my Dad was out by our car. Mogsie has just chased Emma down M & A’s drive and was sitting on the pavement on your side of the road.

Foxy decided to come up my drive to see if there was any food when my Dad coughed and Foxy shot down the drive, across the road and past Mogsie. As Foxy walked across M & A’s lawn Mogsie gave chase and it was hilarious to see Foxy running for his life up the road with Mogsie only feet behind him.

Once Foxy was out of our vicinity Mogsie came back and came in to go to bed. Boy, can that cat move when he wants to! He was very tired after all that exertion and is still in bed! I haven’t bothered him today because he needs his rest, especially if he’s going out on guard again tonight! He’s our Protector of the Cat World!

Twizzle

He's Back!

I thought it had been a bit quiet recently on the Foxy Lectar front but he's back and the evidence has just been discovered.

The daddies finally came down and stay daddy put the washing on. As he was hanging it out to dry on the spinny thing he called over to me to come and have a look.

Sometime in the night Foxy had been in our garden again and he's been digging holes. I really don't know what his big idea is but this is getting beyond a joke. The daddies aren't happy that the garden keeps on getting turned over and I'm not happy that he thinks it's OK to invade my land. The big question is though "What is he up to?"

Nadia Prepares

I've only just realised, I've not see Nadia around for days.

She usually disappears for about half the year and goes to sleep around October. Last time she was a bit naughty and did it outside. All through the Winter and into early Spring the daddies would watch out for her everyday in the garden to see if there was any signs of movement.

Not until about April did she appear one afternoon. Daddy was very excited and went and told C that he had found her. I don't think she was worried but she did appear pleased to hear that she was back. Stay daddy certainly was and vowed not to let the same thing happen twice, so it surprises me that he hasn't seemed too concerned that she's not been wandering around lately.

As the daddies are still not properly up, although I did manage to wake them so I know some stirring is about to happen, I thought I would have a little scout around to see if I could find her until they come down. I looked in all her usual places, behind the fridge, under the settee and in the hallway in the corner but no. She's found a new place to hide and I've discovered it. Under the beanbag. It's still too early for her to go to sleep I guess she must be doing a trial run and preparing for her big hibernation.

Thwart Them

What is it with those two on a Sunday morning. They think it's acceptable to just lie there when I want attention. I shall thwart there little plan by jumping all over them and talking to them incessantly until they do make a move. It's a plan I don't utilise much but I have my needs and this morning I need them up.
